Taking Anna to the safe house was supposed to be Jackie’s job, but the longer Jackie hesitated, the easier it was for Erin to speak.
“I’ll come with you.”
So she does. She does and Anna seems to settle easier when they are finally locked in. One or both of them will stay with her until Anna gives her evidence in court and Jackie knows as she watches Erin help Anna cook that they will be okay in time.
For now, she’s lucky. Erin understands that this is more than just wanting Anna safe for the case and seems to be slowly learning to love Anna just as much as Jackie always has. Erin, Jackie thinks, is one of the best things to ever happen to her. Anna’s black wig is gone now, her long brunette hair growing back in and she looks more herself than she has in years. Here, with both Anna and Erin, Jackie starts to believe that they can all be happy.
