Mood board
Story starts
Little 5 year old Pete running through the castle hallways again skipping his sword lesson….
He wants to play in the garden like his Maid's son everyday ,not take sword lessons ... .he couldn't even carry the weight of a small knife without hurting his hands…. How could he carry a big sword and fight with enemy's right now?
He is running towards his Mama's chamber like everyday….
Yes, His Mama is a queen and she has a separate big room, and even though there is a big omegas quarters at one end of the Palace, His Mama stays in this room…Maybe to be close to his Papa's room? He doesn't know…
He does not see his Papa often as he is the king of this large kingdom Siam….But his Mama always says his Papa is working hard that's why he couldn't see his papa…
If his Mama says that, then that is right….
As his mother's chambers approached , Pete started running as fast as he could and he ran through the door but suddenly fell because he collided with someone….and fell down….
He lifted his head up and saw his Papa glaring at him….
His mother came and lifted him up checking for injuries…..
" What is he doing here?"... Pete's father shouted and Pete tried to hide behind his Mama's leg….
" Why is he not in his training?"... He shouted again at the silence….
" I don't like fighting "... Pete mumbled before his mother tried to cover his mouth….
" What did you say?".... The king said in a low octave…
" Nothing" Lilly covered for her son…
" I'll send him to the training now" she says shivering….
" I don't wanna go"... Pete mumbled again….but this time his Papa didn't shout…
He dragged Pete from his mother's back, and slapped him….
" Mama"... Pete cried at the impact and fell on the floor sobbing….
" Pete"... His mother took him into her arms…hugging him tightly protecting from Aankort Saengtham ,the king of Siam kingdom….
" You are going to learn everything like a prince should, If I had to know that you are slacking even a single day, I'll lash your entire back with a rope"....
Pete is still crying in his mother's arms…
" Understand?" Aankort pulled him out of Lilly's hold and made him stand straight….
" I'll hit you again if you don't stop crying…."... Pete stopped trying to swallow his sobs….
" Now,.tell me, did you understand?"....
Pete nodded….
" Are you Dumb? Say it in words"... King shouted…
" Yes, Papa "....
" Don't call me that, I am King to this entire Kingdom….you should address me your Majesty
" Yes, You…your Majes…ty"....
The second Aankort left the room, Pete cried in his mother's arms…
After some hours….
" Don't anger your Papa, Pete…. You should do as he says…." Lilly tried to coax her son…
" I don't like sword training, I want to play"...
" I know, but when You are a prince and when you become an Alpha …you need to know all of these….so you should learn from a young age only"..
Pete looked at his mother with doe eyes, but his cheek is still red from crying and finger marks…
" What if I became an Omega?"....
Lilly widened his eyes with fear….
" Don't say those words again even in your sleep , you'll be alpha….Only Alpha" she tried to convince herself more than she convince Pete…
" Your father will kill you if you become Omega…" Lily didn't say the latter words aloud…
From that day Pete attended his classes diligently…it is based on the fact that he is scared of his father more than he loves fighting…
No one talks to him in the Palace except his mother, he doesn't have any friends…one time he talked to the maid's son and played with him but the maid came and took his son away saying that the prince shouldn't be friends with commoners….
Pete thought his father would love him because he is learning to fight, but his father always criticizes him even though he is doing good….no one at his age even started to learn….

5 years passed by and he just finished today's training under his favorite Teacher….Chan…
Chan is the only one after his mother he is allowed to talk to…
" You did good today Pete"... Teacher Chan patted his back…
Pete didn't smile, " But His Majesty didn't even compliment me once"...
Chan stopped smiling, how to say to this young Boy to stop hoping …..cause Pete is still hoping to impress his father one day…
Chan knows the young Boy's dreams are futile, but he doesn't have the heart to crush them…
" The king is very busy with his duties, Prince, that's why"....
Pete nodded solemnly…
" Why are you moody prince, today evening marks the start of 9 days festival….you can go out of place ground to visit the town, markets and to the forest area to pray to our goddess "....
Pete smiled at the words….
Yes, he is 10 years old, he is eligible now….to go to forest, that means he can go outside the palace
" Teacher Chan, I forgot about that bye…I need to go to my mother to get ready"...
Pete didn't run , he should act like a prince not like a 10 year old boy even though he is just a 10 year old boy ….
He went into his mother's chamber and tightly hugged her….
" My pete is so ready for his outing today ha?" His mother tickled him and Pete laughed…But immediately he stopped and nodded trying to contain his excitement , he should act like a prince….
" But you need to stay with me or guards, you shouldn't run…. The king won't spare us if you act mischievous…."...
Pete's smile dimmed but he nodded…
" Here , you new clothes "......
" For me?"...
" Yes ,for my beautiful Baby"...

Pete's heart was beating crazily and he stood on the podium beside his mother and father. King should be one who should start the festival visiting goddesses in the forest….
With drums and music, it started ... .and Pete was so amazed at the lighting as it's just evening he couldn't wait to see them….
Pete saw a person in the forest allowed his father first to pray to the goddess, after that he allowed all of them…
He bowed to the goddess in the forest and returned into town, the whole Kingdom will celebrate for 9 days from now on…
When they reached the capital again, people started flocking around them…
Pete felt overwhelmed and he tried to hide behind his mother ,but one glare from his father…he stood there…
He should act like a prince…
" Majesty, please visit our shops in the town….we will be Happy "...
" Head alpha, we made several foods specially for you".... People starting to invite the King and his family….
The king glared….
" Why should I eat things from the poor like you?….I am King…I won't waste my time attending your fairs…."....
People looked at Chan because it's a tradition, theya re following from several years…
" Your Majesty , wolfs believe it will bring good fortune for kin if the alpha celebrates with town people….Or at least your family should celebrate with them"....
" Chan, did I make you my advisor ,why are you spouting Nonsense?"...
" Sorry , head alpha".....Chan bowed down…
" My omega and her son will visit you in these 9 days, now stop disturbing me with your Pathetic requests…"... The king degraded them and went away with his guards..
Lilly and Pete have some guards for their protection, not many….
But Lilly smiled and tried to visit every fair in the town, complimenting them one by one…
As the king is not there, Pete starts running around shops and everyone is cooing at the little prince …
" Pete, slowly"... His mother tried to stop him….
But she didn't smile when Pete stopped walking and acted like a prince…at least for this day she wants him to enjoy…
" You know what my prince , run all you want today, nobody's gonna stop you"...
Pete beamed with happiness
Pete is running with a guard following him from far…and comes to a big tree…..
It was silent there unlike the fair on the road….he doesn't like silence ,so he wanted to turn around and go back But halted when he saw a boy like him…
He saw that boy trying to pluck the fruits in the tree with stones….
When it missed Pete laughed loudly….
The small boy turned around and saw him with glare….but tried again…
It missed ..
Pete laughed loudly this time….
" Why are you laughing?"...the boy came to him with a furious face…
" Cause you are missing and you are doing it wrong again and again… you should stand far away from the tree to aim…cause the fruit are at the end of the branches and they are high too"....
The boy scoffed…" as if you know how to do this"....
Pete glared at the boy now….how dare this boy mocking him, Pete practiced his skill ls everyday early morning…
He took the stone from the ground and walked away from the tree….
He aimed at the fruit and threw the stone and it plucked the fruit….
The fruit fell on the ground…
The small boy looked amazed at Pete…
" How did you do that?"....
Pete smirked " don't you want the fruit?"...
The boy went and took it ….
" How did you do this, teach me please ".... The boy asked with puppy eyes….
Pete felt joy, because he is the person who talked to him willingly…
Pete acted like he was thinking…
" I will if you agree to be my friend"....
That's when the boy looked at Pete's clothes…..
" You are of high rank ''...the boy mumbled realizing….
Pete's smile dimmed and his voice became strained." Won't you be friends with me,then?"...
" Ma said I shouldn't talk to high rank people "... The boy said and Pete felt tears in his eyes….
" Why doesn't anybody want to be friends with me…I want to have friends too"...
" You don't have any friends?".... The boy asked
Pete shook his head …tears streaming down his face…
The boy contemplated for a second and wiped Pete's tears
" Don't cry, I will be your friend…." The boy paused
" But Only if you teach me how to pick fruit with the stones…."
Pete smiled and hugged the boy….
" I have a friend…. I have a friend…"..
He jumped with excitement….
" I am Pete, you? ''.
" Vegas ".....
On the first day pete teached Vegas what he knew ….and vegas is a smart one, he learned it immediately….
The 2 nd day, Pete asked his mom to go out to town early….
" Mama , please….fast".......
" Coming, baby".....
Pete acted mischievous and went away from guards on the 2 nd day, like one guard knew where Pete went but didn't disturb him because the queen herself said to let the young prince enjoy….
Pete's eyes beamed with Joy when he saw Vegas waiting for him under the tree….
They played and sat by the tree when their energy faded…….
" Who is your father Pete? Which high rank".... Vegas asked pete…
Pete tensed…. What if Vegas stopped being friends with him if he said it's the king…
" I don't know that many details, I just know he is working in place"....
Vegas nodded…..
" I need to go Vegas".... Pete looked at the sky…
Vegas took his arm…." I don't want you to go"....
" I'll come back tomorrow ok".... Pete said and kissed Vegas cheek and hopped away……
On the third day when Pete reached the tree, Vegas sat under the tree and he didn't smile even seeing Pete….
" What happened?"... Pete asked, kneeling in front of him…
" I told my mama that I am talking to you, she scolded me"...
" Did your mama hit you?"....Pete aksed with apprehension
" Why would my mama hit me for this?"... Vegas is confused…
" Cause you go against her words ".... Pete said cause he always obeys his Mama, and his father hits him when he disobeys…
" She just scolds me. She didn't hit me any time till now…. Does your mama hit you?" Vegas asked frantically
" Not my mama, my papa does.." Pete said with a small voice…
Vegas hugged Pete….." Ma told me we shouldn't hit anyone. It's wrong. Your papa is wrong…".....
Pete doesn't know what to answer, cause he always tries to escape his father, fear of being beaten….

As the days went by, Pete and vegas became friends….
And it's the 8th day already….only one day is remaining for Pete to go outside…
" Mama, come" Pete asked his mother…
" I can't today Pete"... ..
" Mama, please".... Pete pouted…
" I can't , but I can tell you the guard to take you out"...
Pete nodded….it's necessary to go cause he prepared a gift for Vegas….
Vegas doesn't wear new clothes like him even if it's a festival…. So Pete wanted to gift him new clothes…
Pete took one of his dresses and decided to give to Vegas….
But There are two guards today …Pete missed this detail
Generally the guard with him stayed far away just watching him from time to time…the new guard who came with them went away for his personal business and the old guard didn't think of it that much…
Pete looked at Vegas who was waiting for him under the tree…
" Pete, come I got to know a new thing today . I need to tell you"....
" What?"...
" Do you know we will know our wolf when we reach 13….our sub genders will be revealed?"
" Ha, Vegas I already know this"...
" And we could be an alpha, a beta ,an omega,. Pete"...
" I know this too".... Pete smiled…
Vegas pouted , " you are intelligent…."...
Pete smiled and kissed Vegas cheek ...Vegas smiled too, Pete always kisses him on the cheek…
" What do you think your wolf is?. Mama says we won't know till 13… that means I'll get to know in a few days"...
" I will be alpha".... Pete said proudly…
" How do you already know?".... Vegas is confused ..
" Cause my father says it and my mama wants me to be alpha"....
Vegas nodded…." I don't care about anything. Ma said nothing matters, every gender is the same…"...
Pete is confused…cause he heard alphas are superior….but vegas continued talking…
" I hope you will get alpha Pete, and what's in your hand?"...
" I forgot completely …A gift for you"....
" Really?".. Vegas eyes sparkled…
" Open it ".. Pete gave him the gift…
" Clothes…."...
"Yes, for you…..Wear them for tomorrow, it will be the last day of the festival and the only day I Will be allowed outside the palace….I want you to wear them tomorrow "..
Vegas nodded..
They lay down on the ground looking at the sky….
" I want you to be your friend Vegas"....
" You are already my friend Pete, you are my best friend "...
" Really?..."..
" Yes, I am sneaking away from my Ma to meet you…you are sneaking away from guards to meet me…
I'll do anything for you ..you would do anything for me…We are best friends…."
Vegas said looking at Pete …
" And we always say everything to each other. We don't lie to each other Pete…"
Pete's face dimmed down…. He felt uncomfortable…. And As the day was ending, Pete got up to go….
" Pete" Vegas shouted….
And Pete turned around…. Vegas kissed Pete's cheek and ran away ….
Pete blushed…..
And neither of them saw the new guard looking at them….
That night Pete is thinking he has to do something to meet Vegas daily….and the fact he lied to Vegas….
But he didn't know that was already the last day of our friendship….

The king visited the town on the last day of the festival with his family after praying to the goddess in the forest,.....
Pete is waiting for his Father to go back to the Palace so he could visit Vegas ….
When they were returning from the forest area, the king said he would leave….
Pete smiled…. couldn't wait anymore to meet Vegas….
But when the king started To go, he saw some boy wearing Pete clothes….
Prince clothes ….
When the new guard said Pete is seen with a commoner, he didn't think of it much …
But now….
Aankort became furious, he eyes glistening red….. and shouted to bring the boy….
Pete looked at the screams and saw Vegas thrashing in someone's hold….
The guards harshly threw Vegas on the ground…
" Where did you get the clothes? How dare you steal prince clothes"? King roared…
Vegas widened his eyes….
'' I didn't steal, Pete gifted me".....
" You are telling lies and calling the prince by his name?"... King slapped him and Vegas is crying so much …
Dara, Vegas' mother , saw the commotion and saw the king slapping his son…
" His majesty, please forgive my son"...
" Your son stole prince clothes…."...
" Mama , I didn't…Pe…He gifted me this clothes yesterday"... Vegas sayd looking at Pete in the crowd
King is glaring at Pete now , Lilly clutched his son's hand tightly….
Everyone is looking at them…
" Why would the prince gift you clothes, Prince would not talk to a low life like you. If you don't tell the truth I'll kill you"...
Vegas looked at Pete with tears…
" Pete, did you gift him the clothes?"...the King roared practically
Pete never saw his father like that, with red eyes….
Pete whimpered…..crying …
Vegas is looking at Pete to hear the truth, for Pete to say that he didn't steal anything….
The guards are not allowing his Ma to touch him….Vegas is getting scared …He wants to hide in his Ma's arms…
" Pete, tell them"... Vegas shouted seeing the queen is closing Pete's mouth…
The King Slapped Vegas again….
" How dare you call a prince by his name even after I tell you?"...
Vegas started to cry loudly….looking at Pete …
Pete is crying trying to reach Vegas, but his mother clutched his hand tightly like she would draw blood from Pete's hands….
His father's words roared the next words….
" Pete, do you know him? Did you give him the clothes?".... His father's expression dares him to say No right now and he will be killed….
Vegas mother started to speak…
" My son said he became friends with a high ranking official son, please my son doesn't know that he is the prince …..please spare him"... Dara is crying……
Now the king lost patience and came to Pete and shook him" I am asking you"....
Lilly interfered…
" Pete doesn't know him, His Majesty. That boy is telling lies"...
Vegas widened his eyes….
Lily looked at Pete
" Pete , you don't know him right?"....
Pete is crying….looking at his mother….wants to scream he knows Vegas ….
" Pete , please tell them you didn't know him"..... His mother is clutching his arm tightly, it's hurting….
His mother wants him to lie…
His father shook him and Pete shivered…He is getting scared of the punishment…
Pete looked at Vegas and whispered ....
" I don't know him"...
Vegas felt betrayed, he cried harder…..
" Take my son and my omega to the palace right now"....
The king came near Vegas
" you dared to steal prince clothes and lied about knowing him . Punish him with crop till his clothes tear"....
Pete heard this …
" Mama, "....
Lilly closed his mouth….
" Mama…Vegas …".. Pete's voice came mumbling ....
" Mama, please…Vegas…Mama…"... He is sobbing , mumbling….
Pete heard Vegas' heart wrenching cries as his mother dragged him away….

Pete is crying, not letting his mother near him…
" Pete"... She tried to touch him, but Pete jerked his hand away…
" I hate you, Vegas is my only friend…
.I was the one who gave him clothes "...
" I know, My prince,"... She said crying…
"Then Why did you make me lie? Vegas is crying"......
" Cause your father would kill you Pete. I want you to be alive Pete. If you speak against him in that crowd , he will kill you at that instant…"..
Lilly hugged Pete
" Listen to me, my prince ….your father is not a good person he hates commoners with passion. Don't defy him ever, he'll kill you. He'll torture you Pete…"...
" But vegas , Mama"....
Pete is crying in his mother's arms when the doors opened and the king came….
Pete looked at his father, Aankort tried to take Pete but his wife stopped him…
" How dare he spend time with a low life? How dare that low life wear his clothes?"....
" He is my friend, I gave him the gift"... Pete mumbled again…
Lilly's eyes widened….
The king dragged Pete away from her and slapped Pete ….Pete fell on the floor sobbing…
" You raise your voice against me? Do it again and I'll bury you here in this room…."
When Lilly tried to stop him, He slapped his omega too…she fell on the floor at the impact …
Pete's face changed….he got up and raised his hand to slap on his father's thigh…still crying….
Aankort doesn't take this lightly, he slapped Pete again ….and when Pete fell on the floor he hit him with his leg….
Pete screamed….Lilly hugged him shielding away from the King…
" can't you take care of one child? …you have one child….you pathetic omega can't even give me another heir…, and you could not even take care of him….
Remember I could have many children from another omega, I don't care if he lives or not.. .if he wants to live he should behave…if he raises his voice against me , I'll kill him"...
The king stormed away from the chamber…
" Mama"...
" You'll be fine, I'll protect you"....
Pete is crying, clutching his thigh.….
" I want to know how Vegas is mama"...
His mother cried, couldn't answer him…

Dara took her son, he saw his skin peeled off at the back…Her 13 year old son….
Vegas is unconscious…he looks like a vegetative body ….
Dara waited 2 days for him to even wake up
When he woke up his back stings with enormous pain
" Ma".... " Vegas shouted….
Vegas is crying and his mother couldn't even hug him….scared of his back hurting more….
" I didn't steal Ma"... Vegas said crying….
" I know Vegas, I know my baby".... She clenched his hands…assuring him…
Vegas cried…more and more…
" Pete lied….he gave me…."...Vegas is choking on tears…
" I know "....
Vegas cried more…
" That's why I said don't trust high rank, Vegas. They won't bring any good to us….even if we tried we will never be equal and we will suffer at the end…."
" I thought he was my friend, when I gave him sweets he ate ….I thought he liked me…but he lied….I hate him Ma, I hate him….."...
Vegas slept on his mother's lap….crying …
Suddenly Vegas felt an excruciating pain….and Dara realized Vegas is presenting….
" God, why now? He is already suffering from injuries. How could his body take all of these changes?"...
But Vegas survived, he was presented as Alpha….
