It started with Viserys.
It started with Daenerys seeing molten gold being dropped on his head and taking the life underneath.
It started with her thinking it was just her own thoughts, messed up and angry. But with every life that was taken in front of her, because of her, the voices became clearer. More distinct.
She could hear Viserys still pleading for his crown, for the respect a dragon deserved, for the life that should have been his.
She could hear Rhaegar, his voice like a song, speaking of prophecies and fate and how little the small lives mattered when compared to the greater good.
But what she heard most was her father's voice in the back of her mind. And he only said one thing: Burn them, burn them all.
