Aether stood in the fields and looked up to Teyvat’s night sky, it was filled with stars and the moon glowed brightly. He thought of Lumine, about all the time they spent together, travelling to all different types of worlds, all the memories he shared with his sister, he smiled at the thought. Ather missed Lumine, of course he would miss his sister, the one who was there by his side for most of his life. The twins had never been apart from each other for long but, now Lumine was far apart from him, and he didn’t know when he’d see her again. Aether only saw her face and talked to her once, wishing to go home together, wishing to be reunited again. He would do anything to talk to her again, even let her win a game of rock paper scissors. His journey would be long, and he would not stop until he and Lumine were reunited.
Aether felt lonely in a new world, but someone that made his journey less lonely was Paimon, the one who had been by his side at the start of his journey and never left. Paimon was floating a few feet away from him, waiting. Aether stood next to Paimon, and he didn’t hide the fact that he missed Lumine. He didn’t hide much from Paimon, especially not his feelings. He didn’t have to because he knew that Paimon would understand. The two walked for a while and a silence fell upon them until Paimon spoke. “You miss her, don’t you” a solemn expression was on her face. Yet there was a sense of understanding as Paimon said what she did.
“Of course, I do, she’s, my sister.” Then Aether looked at Paimon “I hope you get to meet Lumine one day. I mean properly sometime.” He breathed in and smiled to her “and I hope you get to know her, like I do.”
Paimon smiled back at Aether “I hope so too.”
Aether knew his journey would be long and difficult, but he would find Lumine. The two siblings would be reunited no matter what, no matter how long it took. That is why he was on this journey, to find his sister and nothing would stop him.
