"And... Done." Roman smiled satisfied as he finished wrapping Patton's gift. Their anniversary was coming up and was just around the corner but this was something the Prince was just too eager to wait and not give his Beloved at this very moment.
Besides he was the romantic one after all, he had a much better and special gift planned for that day anyways.
Once Roman thought everything looked perfect and ready he picked up the wrapped gift and walked to Patton's door and stopped once he finally reached the familiar light blue door decorated with stickers.
He hesitated about knocking feeling slightly nervous all of a sudden. The Prince feared rejection and he certainly didn't want that to happen especially with how much the gift meant to him.
No he's gonna love it Roman... If he happily accepted that shiny rock you gave him at the beach he's certainly gonna love anything you give him... You can do this...
The Prince took a deep breath in and out feeling a little more confident and finally knocked on the door hiding the gift behind his back. "Come in!" The voice Roman loved hearing called out behind the door.
The Prince smiled and turned the door knob and that smile grew even more seeing his Beloved smiling back at him sitting on his bed with his plushies.
"There's my favorite Hero." Patton got up and kissed Roman softly to which of course the Prince kissed him back as he closed the door. "And there's my adorable little PuffBall."
Patton giggled at the name. "Only for you... What's that?" He asked as he noticed Roman hiding something behind his back.
"Just a gift I wanted to give you."
"A gift? But Sweetie-"
"I know our anniversary isn't until a week from now Beloved but I really wanted to give you this to show my appreciation for all you've done over the years."
Roman said as he revealed the wrapped gift handing it to Patton. "Aww Sweetie you shouldn't have! You show me that everyday! But I'm sure whatever's in here I'm gonna love it!" The light blue polo wearing Side smiled accepting the gift and started unwrapping it.
"Now what exactly is in here is it a guitar or something?" He asked curiously. "A Prince never reveals his secrets." Roman teased and winked making Patton giggle. "Fair point Sweetie."
When Patton finished unwrapping the gift and opened the long box he immediatedly gasped at seeing an all too familiar blade's sheath.
"Your katana? Roman Honey are you sure?"
Roman smiled softly and nodded. "I want you to have it Beloved... I cherish it dearly just as much as I cherish you and it's only right that I give it to you."
Patton couldn't help but to lunge forward and kiss Roman lovingly to which the Prince immediately melted reciprocating it. Roman had so much trust in him and it warmed his heart so much knowing that.
Patton was the one to pull away to catch his breath but once he did he hugged the Prince tight. "Thank you so much Sweetie I love it... I promise I'm gonna take good care of it and keep it safe."
Roman smiled softly at his Beloved's determined promise, nuzzling the top of his head holding him close. "I know you will Beloved... I know you will."
Patton giggled nuzzling him back. "Now... Were you just coming over to give me this and call it a day or did you have something else planned?" He light heartedly teased.
"I think you know far too well that wasn't all My Love." Roman replied taking both of a giggling Patton's hands.
"What did you have in mind?"
"Oh y'know something nice, romantic- Disney movie marathon.” Roman immediately said the last part. Patton laughed at his boyfriend's eagerness.
"I'd love nothing more Sweetie."
