Chapter Text
“I’m going to propose to you.”
“Aw, that's sweet of you,” Marinette says, not fully registering the words that fell out of Adrien’s mouth, still pining fabric together. Sitting across from her fully entranced by Marinette, was Adrien, with a soft boyish smile awaiting her reaction to come out.
“Very, very soon,” Adrien calls out, hoping that this time he will get a reaction from his blue-haired lady.
Marinette squeaks, fully understanding what Adrien has just said, her heart beating loudly in her ears and her face flushing. Peeking behind her mannequin, she looks at her golden-hair boyfriend.
“Is this because I said I would only move in with you if we were engaged?”
Now it was Adrien’s turn to blush and avoid her lapis-colored gaze.
“Er… well… hmmm… uh… no… yes?” Adrien stumbled over his words, trying to answer Marinette’s question. Evoking a small giggle from her.
With that little confidence boost, Marinette walks over to her boyfriend, grabs him by the chin to look up at her, and plants a chaste kiss on his lips. Adrien sighs and wraps his arm around her waist, pulling her down to sit in his lap.
“I look forward to it, chaton .”

The day after Adrien had said yes to Marinette to go out with her officially, he went on the hunt to find her the perfect engagement ring. He struggled between exquisite and simple designs but ended at one he believed would be purr-fect for his lady. A rose gold band with three diamond stones encapsulated by flowers with ladybugs at the ends. He compromised with himself that the wedding band could be sweet and simple, and the engagement ring could be something more impactful.
