Humans share bonds. That’s how it’s always been, that’s how it will always be. They share them with each other, in groups or in pairs, or with nature around them, especially the animals.
And the gods have seen these bonds, have seen how pure they can be. They have seen the love, happiness, and peace that it brings. And they noticed how some bonds were stronger, purer, brighter, deeper. The bonds that broke power of the wicked and dangerous. The bonds that at one time broke the chains the Shadow held over the Earth.
A long time ago, a pair found each other by complete accident, their animal companions being the reason why. One’s companion was a sparrow, flying high and fast in the sky, warning of any danger to come. The other’s was a kermode bear, the spirit bear, a beauty ready to protect its human friend no matter what. The sparrow and the bear met in a field of Milkweed flowers. They gazed upon each other, the sparrow flew around the other and the bear became a soft landing for the smaller being. And soon their humans joined them, meeting each other as well.
The sparrow’s human was like the bear. Gentle, protective, peaceful, always aware of the future. The human was someone they already knew.
The bear’s human was like the sparrow. Shy, reclusive, humble, always crossing the obstacles ahead. The human was someone already dear to their heart.
The two pairs became inseparable. They were always by each other's sides, always ready to help the other in life.
And the legend is old, the tale has been through many minds. No one can tell for certain the gender of the humans, the type of love they shared. All that everyone knew is that when the war with the Shadow broke loose, they were ready to defend each other and the freedom of all living creatures as they knew. And in their final moments, before the Shadow could win, their love shined bright, strong, true. They used that love to seal the Shadow away, to give it to the gods for safe keeping. And they held each other in their last moments.
The bear and the sparrow found their humans, humans that were physically torn. And they wept together over their fallen family, their fallen souls. The heartbreak ended them, too. The heartbreak reunited them with their humans.
And the gods saw. And the gods wept. And the gods knew that every human should experience the love they felt.
So from then on, every human on their 13th birthday woke up to their soulmate's animal right beside them, the ghost only they and their soulmate, or soulmates, could see. The soulmates came in every form you could imagine. Romantic, platonic, one or multiple, your greatest enemy, lover or friend. The bonds could heal the world or end it. Sometimes you woke up to find your own animal reflection staring back at you. The soulmate could be you and it was fine.
And that’s how it’s been for hundreds of years.
And that’s how it will be for hundreds more.

- Inazuma Eleven Original Series only. I am currently rewatching all the content and I was only able to watch the original series as a kid. I'm going to try and get into the series that came after, but I have a hard time since there will be a lot of new characters. Please be patient with me if you want a GO, Galaxy or Ares or Orion pairing, maybe one day I will be able to write those
- I will take any pairing as long as it not incest, huge age gap, pedophilia, or anything of that sort. I have seen things on AO3 and Pinterest I wish I didn't.
- Also, I won't do any smut. Maybe if they are 20+ characters, but that's it.
- THE SOULMATES CAN BE ROMANTIC, PLATONIC, FAMILIAL OR ONE'S OWN SELF, HEY EVEN ENEMIES IF YOU WANT. There is more than 1 type of relationship in the world and you can have a soulmate in any of those areas.
- I also take in polyamorous relationships, for instance if you want a Break Trio or the managers as soulmates. Again, any combination that doesn't violate point 2.
- If you have an idea what animals to use for the soulmate companion, include that as well
- And this can detail can be optional but you can give me anything else you want in the request. If you want it set in a sci-fi AU, fantasy, if you want angst, or just a good feel fic. You can pretty much request anything as long as it doesn't go against point 2 and 3.
So here is an example of how your request can look like if someone feels too nervous to write it down.
Hi! Could you maybe write Kidou/Endou in this au, a golden retriever representing Endou and an emperor penguin representing Kidou? Set during canon and not really any canon divergence?
And, as I said, you can also include any other details you want.
