Work Text:
Will Solace was a healer, a kind soul who had devoted his life to helping others. However, he had a dark secret that only a few knew about. He was a devout follower of Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec god of war and human sacrifice.
One day, Will was called to attend to a criminal who had been severely injured during a robbery. As he examined the thief, he knew what he had to do. He had to offer this man as a sacrifice to his god.
Will took the wounded man to a secluded place where he could perform the ritual. He uttered prayers to Huitzilopochtli and prepared the man for the sacrifice. The criminal begged for mercy, but Will knew he couldn't let him go. He raised his obsidian knife and plunged it into the man's chest.
The blood flowed, and Will felt the power of his god surging through him. He knew that he had pleased Huitzilopochtli and that he would be rewarded for his sacrifice.
Days later, the city was spared from an attack by a rival tribe. The people praised Will for his healing and protection. Little did they know that it was the sacrifice that had appeased the gods
