When severus snape got his letter to hogwarts he remembered his farther beating him black and blue but he also remembered before that running to lily's house and showing her his letter.
He remembered his mom taking him to diagon ally to get him some robes for hogwarts and going to ollivanders wand shop. He remembered mr.ollivander telling him what his wand was made out of, 9 ½ inch wand quite flexible,make out of cherry wood, cote of klepie horn and basilisk horn. Mr.ollivander said that most people with That core are independent and have a strong mind but are quick to angry.
Severus didn't think it sounded like him. Severus also remembered see a boy with round glasses and unruly hair running around and another a chubby kid following him and laughing when the boy woth glasses pushed people to the ground. He hoped that he wouldn't have to deal with them st hogwarts.
What Severus didn't remember nor see was a witch in her early 30s watching his mother and him. Elieen snape however did notice and was quick to grab severus and walk away quickly. She could feel the young witches eyes on her as she walked away.
That was two weeks ago
now severus is on platform 9 ¾ with lily half listening to her rambling about how she can't wait to see hogwart and what house they are going to be in. He already know whst house he want to be in.
"Sev... Seve... SEVERUS!" Lliy slight yells
"Hmm? What is it Liles?" Severus asks slightly embarrassed at zoning out while lily was talking, he knew if he did that at home his farther would beat him halfway to death
"The train is going to leave soon let's find a capartment quickly" lily says while ushering him on the train.
They quickly find a capartment that was empty and put their stuff up. When they finally set down and the train started to move 4 boys suddenly opened up the door, laughing and giggling at something.
Severus immediately recognized 2 of the boys from diagon ally and could feel himself getting annoyed quickly.
"Um hello can we help you?" Lily asked politely and looked at them with a questionable look A boy with a few(a lot) of scars on his neck and arms answer, "can we sit in here?"
Severus was about to say no but lily beat him to and said they could. He rolled his eyes and tried to start a conversation woth lily.
"Lily what house are you hoping for" he asks hoping their answers were the same even though he knows they're not.
"Hmm I geuss either ravenclaw or griffindor severus" she shrugs.
Severus nods to her answer and respond with his answer "im hoping for slytherin but ravenclaw wouldn't be so bad"
The boy with unruly hair looks ar him with disgust "ew slytherins are all evil" 2 of the boys agree with him and scar boy just looks away.
Severus scoffs and responds "not all of them are evil merlin was a slytherin and he one of the most famous wizards of all"
A boy with shoulder length black hair glares at him "yeah but he's the only one my family is full of slytherin and they're evil or mad as Bellatrix my cousin."
"yeah so your going to be evil if you end up in slytherin Snivellus" glasses boy respond with a smirk
Severus immediately looks away from the boy handing his face with his hair he was never ashamed of his nose, it reminded him of his mother's nose who it looked beautiful on but he knew it didn't look good on him from the condition he grew up it his nose was crooked and didnt suit his face because of his gaunt look.
Thew his hair he saw lily face turn red as her hair with anger, he saw her pull down her suitcase with her book in it, opened it and immediately started to throw her book at the boy and yelling at them to get out the boys quickly left and he and lily picked up the books from the ground.
"Thanks lily" smiling at her she smiled and back and said no problem. when they were done picking up the books they quickly changed into their robes for they would be arriving at hogwarts soon.
When severus got off the train and saw the school in the distance he could wait to see what house he would be sorted into.
Lily grabbed his arm and slightly dragged him to a boat with two girls who introduced themselves as Charity Burbage and Marlene McKinnon. He smiled and them and sat down on the rocky boat.
They boats started to move towards the castle once everyone was on one. When they finally reached the castle they saw a stern faced witch who introduced herself a professor Minerva McGonagall head of griffindor.
"Welcome to Hogwarts first years" said Professor McGonagall.
"The start-of-term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts.You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory and spend free time in your house common room. The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup, a great honour. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours." Finished McGonagall
Many students began to whisper as she finished her speech. Severus and lily looked ar each other and smiled in anticipation.
McGonagall quickly led them into the great hall and the hat began to sing

The students begun to clap and when they were dont McGonagall started to call out the first year

Preson fawley ravenclaw (he noticed one of the teachers smiled at that)
Sirius black griffindor (he was extremely pale walking over to the table)
A few more students were called when finally
"Lily evens"
Lilt walked up to the Sorting hat severus could tell she was nervous as the hat was placed on top of her head.
"Hm Interesting... very bright... would work in ravenclaw but it better be... GRIFFENDOR" the hat finally deciding
Severus felt his whole body tense as he watched her walk over to the griffindor table when suddenly his name was called
"Severus snape"
He looked up and started to walk to the hat in a slight daze before the hat was place on his head and cover his eyes
"What do we have here.." The hat started
Severus immediately responded "please put me in Gryffindor" he slightly begged the hat
"Ah you want to be with a friend... sadly that hosue is not the one you need you would work well in hufflepuff for you are loyal but not the nicest... ravenclaw wouldn't work well with your knowledge... but your cunningness and resourcefulness out shine all so it better be... SLYTHERIN" The hat finished
Severus felt like he could cry him and lily have always been together since they were 7 and now they were separated into different house.
Severus quickly took of the hat and walked to the slytherin table. He introduced himself to a few if the first year slytherin and became friends with dorcas meadows and charity the girl who he met on the boat along with 2 boys by the names of Bruce mulicbur and Edmund Avery
The headmaster made an a speech that didn't make any sense before dinner appeared. Severus had never seen so much food before but he refrain himself from stuffing his face like a fool and grabbed some food and ate properly.
By the time dinner was done and they were lead to their common room 2 teacher walked in a male who introduced himself as Horace slughorn who was the head of house and taught potions and a female whos name was phyxis fawley (that explains why she smiled at that one students severus thought to himself) who taught the defense against the dark arts and was assistant head of house.
"Now while Horace was a slytherin I was a hufflepuff but don't take that for me not going to take away house points I am fair in all I do l, if I see any bullying you will be punished I do not care who your parents are majority of you probably already know my family so with that said if any of you are in any type of trouble you can come to me and I will find away to help you with thar said let go to sleep now" miss. Fawley said with a smile and ushered them to bed
Severus quickly got up to his dorm which he shared worh Bruce and Edmund he got ready for bed wish the a good sleep he when to on thought on his mind 'miss fawley seem nice'
