Chapter 1: Day 1 - confess

Chapter Text

The atmosphere around was cold and bitter on this day. It wasn't something that bothered Kiana as he was used to being warm, and his Finality powers have helped him keep warm, but every now and then he would get a chill up his spine. That's what it is like on most days, but this day was cold none stop.

It was strange to see everyone he walked past in big puffy coats, or winter clothing. It's never been this bad. Even Klein, who Kiana had created a strong bond with over the past few months he has been on the moon, had multiple layers on and even had a small heater in their lab. Kiana couldn't explain why it was so bitter, heck even the scientist couldn't and they were meant to be smarter than him, no offence to them. Still, that wasn't going to stop him walking around the moon and looking at the Earth.

It's only been 6 months since Kiana had became the Herrscher of Finality. He had many more years to go to fully overcome the power. He wouldn't lie, it was weird. Some days he could be fine, but other days he would have a weird feeling all throughout his body, which he knocked it down to the power intake and what it was doing to his body. It was scary because even in those few months, so much had already changed. The markings grew at a slow pace, but it didn't mean that they weren't there. Kiana even woke up to another marking going across his chest.

Kiana walked right into the building to escape from the cold, and he started his journey through the endless hallways. He swore every corner he turned there was another hallway turning to the next. It was like a maze. He couldn't blame Klein, but he still hated how their lab and their office was a gazillion miles away from anywhere. Yet, Kiana did remember that most labs had to be far away from any other people just for safety. Kiana turned to the other hallway, almost bumping into a scientist on his way, and he finally stopped in front of a door. Thank everything he got here in one piece.

Lifting up his arm, he knocked on the door, his dark and purple arms contrasting with the bright white door. A silence took over for a few seconds, a little awkward at most. There was no one around, and even if Kiana had saw someone, they would either walk away, or stare at him with a look that showed their excitement. Many people did respect him, they just didn't take the time to talk with him.

The door opened to reveal a short, green haired person who looked like they were about to pass out any minute. Despite being a scientist and having many doctors around, Klein wasn't the best for taking care of their health. It concerned Kiana and he's told them plenty of times to take care of themself. It was a little hypocritical because Kiana basically lived off ramen, but that doesn't count.

"Oh, Kiana," Klein spoke softly, almost sounding surprised to see Kiana even though they knew he was coming for a check up. "Come in." They walked off allowing Kiana to enter.

"What do i have to do today, doc?" Kiana asked with a smile, jumping onto the chair that was in front of Klein's desk.

Klein hoped onto the little step to grab a honkai reader from the shelf. The bad thing about being small is that had to get help most of the time, it was a little annoying, but nothing they couldn't deal with. Grabbing a pair of rubber gloves and sliding them on, rubbing some sanitiser on them, and then grabbing a stabiliser, Klein hoped off once they were done.

"Just going to check your honkai levels," Klein said it as if it was a normal every day thing they do. Well, for the most part it was like that because of Kiana. They placed a bandage type thing around his arm and turned on the machine. The reading being a lot higher than a few days ago.

'Just what i thought' Klein thought. With Kiana having the power of Finality and him being on the moon, the moon will experience some strange stuff when Kiana's intake gets high. It wasn't anything to worry about because the reading wasn't catastrophical, but it still needed to be under control.

"Alright. I'm going to give a stabiliser for the day, just to bring down your honkai levels to a stable level. It's nothing to worry about too much. Just leave it on till tomorrow and everything will be alright." Klein was quick to work. Wrapping the stabiliser around Kiana's arm. Kiana sat there letting them do what they needed to do.

With a press of a button on the stabiliser, it was all finished. "There, finished. As i said, you will be fine. Come see me again tomorrow and I'll give another check up," Klein said, their tone remaining professional. They turned around and pulled a drawer out from their desk, grabbing a ramen box and throwing it to Kiana. Yet, Kiana passed it back, confusing Klein.

It's not that he didn't want the ramen, it was always best to top up despite having a wall full of ramen packets. It's just that, with a few times Kiana has came for a check up, Klein had told him more about Elysia. Kiana had the fortune of meeting Elysia many months ago, even getting to have some conversations with her and exploring a few new stuff. He met her through Mei, and he could understand why Mei became attached. Despite her flirty ways, she was caring, she was loving, and she was beautiful. Kiana wasn't going to insult Mei, but both the lightning queen and Elysia were the most gorgeous women he's ever met.

Kiana had took a liking to Elysia for those times he spent with her. It was the most fun he ever had, and he never wanted to admit it then, but he couldn't stay in denial, he came to the realisation that he did in fact like Elysia more than a friend. Yet, he couldn't do anything about it and he hadn't seen her in months, which was a shame. So, the only information he could get was from Klein, or Mei if she wasn't busy but Kiana didn't want to disturb her.

The Herrscher took a deep breath. "Can you tell me something about, Elysia? Something you haven't told me yet."

Ah, Elysia. Klein knew something was going through his brain because they could see the way his face scrunched up when he began to think deeply. They didn't mind telling Kiana about the pink elf, it wasn't like anyone else was interested, and they knew about Kiana's little crush on the woman. And vise versa, but they weren't going to tell him that, yet.

"Elysia could be a handful at times," Klein chuckled softly at the memory that came back. "I remember one time she stole Dr. Mobius's work cloak one time and she would not give it back unless she got to dress Mobius up in a pink dress. All you could hear was the loud scream of "ELYSIIIAAAAA" from Mobius."

A soft giggle escaped Kiana's lips and he thought about that. He has seen a side of Elysia like that when she would tease Mei about something little. It could be annoying to other people, but he liked that. But that was enough for now. Shaking his head, he got up from the chair and made his way to the door.

"Thank you, Klein. If you need me, I'll either be in my room playing video games, out on a walk, or making some random sculptures with moon rocks. See ya," Kiana said in one go before giving Klein a peace sign and leaving the room.

Klein didn't have a response, not like they needed one because Kiana didn't mind. Thankfully they had nothing else to do, so they brought up the projectile from the computer that showed a sulky Elysia. It was call, but where Klein could see Elysia's hologram and vice versa with Elysia.

"Auuhh, Kleiiiinnnn. Why would you leave me for so long?" Elysia whined, putting on a pout.

"Ah, sorry. I was doing a checkup on Kiana." Klein felt a slight bit of guilt, but that quickly went away when they saw Elysia's face lit up with the mention of Kiana's name.

"Ooouu Kiana. Hehe, tell me, what's going on?"

"Nothing, just a checkup because Kiana's honkai levels were a little high," Klein said it like it was nothing, but they didn't fail to notice the drop in Elysia's face when they said that.

"Will he be ok?" She asked, her voice full on concern. Elysia had taken a liking to Kiana many months ago when she had met him through Mei. He had caught her attention and with that little time they spent together, she had developed feelings for the Herrscher. Hence, why whenever something happened to Kiana, she would get worried.

"He will be fine. There is nothing to worry about." Klein typed up something on their computer as they continued to talk. "You could always come over if you wanted to, instead of hiding behind this hologram.

"Hmm." They could hear the sweet hum from Elysia. "Will it be alright if i can? I can come see you."

Klein nodded their head. "It's fine. Just give me a few minutes to open up the space between you and the moon. You can even get to come see Kiana. He would be happy to see you."

They didn't fail to hear the loud squeal coming from the hologram. They knew that Elysia would be happy if they told her that she could come. Not to mention, Klein was sort of sick having to watch Kiana have soft eyes and staring off into space with a loving smile, and having to listen to Elysia ramble on about Kiana whenever they told her something new about him. They cared for both of them, but it was getting sickly now.

"Just hold on. I'll start the process." With a few more codes being typed into the computer, and a few clicks of buttons and flicks of switches. Klein had managed to open a gateway/portal, whatever other scientist wanted to call it, directly to where Elysia. It was thanks to the power of the void from Kiana that Klein was even able to do this.

Elysia was a little confused when a orange portal had swirled up right in front of her. She squinted to look inside, and there they were, Klein waiting for them. Without any announcement and just on pure impulse, Elysia made her way through the portal. It was a weird feeling, but it wasn't anything unusual.

It took her a few seconds to get familiar with her surroundings and to get used to the change in atmosphere. It was a lot different in space than on Earth. She turned to look at Klein who had a small surprised look on their face. Without even saying anything, Elysia jumped straight at them and gave them a hug.

"Thank you, Klein," Elysia said, her voice booming with excitement. She let go of them because she knew she couldn't hug them forever.

"It's ok. You're going to need this," Klein responded with, passing Elysia a sheet of paper. "It's a map of this place and it tells you where to go."

"Thank youuuuu, hehe," Elysia giggled before sprinting out the room, not even giving the small scientist a chance to explain everything.

They sighed and fell back into their chair, twirling around back to their computer. They were sure it wouldn't take long for Elysia to find Kiana. They were just worried what might happen after she does find him.

The atmosphere around the moon hadn't changed one bit. It was still cold and bitter. It even got so cold that Kiana had to go back and grab a jacket before he continued with his walk.

He has walked down this path plenty of times. It's the only one that was safe to walk on as the others has dips in the surface which someone could easily fall down and hurt themself. So, not to take any chances. Kiana walked the safe path. He did this almost every day because if he is being honest, he hasn't got much to do on the moon because most of the work is not suited for him. He wasn't exactly the best at science.

Kicking a rock along with him, Kiana made his way near to the edge of the moon, a place where he could look down at the Earth from. Although, as he continued to walk, he couldn't help but feel like someone was watching him or following him. Weird. No one should be here but him. Ahh whatever, he ignored it and continued on with his walk.

The silence had been uncomfortable the first time Kiana had walked alone. There was no ambiance there. Everything was this ash blue/grey colour which made everything look boring. Kiana couldn't even hear his own breath at times, but now after experiencing and doing this so many times, the silence was comforting.

With one final kick, Kiana kicked the rock hard, making it go over the edge of the moon. It now floating around space. He could see the Earth from here. It looked big and small at the same time, but nevertheless, it was beautiful. Kiana had hoped humanity would now be at more peace after becoming the Herrscher of Finality, it's what he had fought fall. All that is beautiful.

Sitting down on a moon rock, Kiana stared down at the Earth. He wondered what Mei, Bronya and his family were doing. He wondered if they were proud of him, or if they missed him, Kiana sure did miss them. Sometimes he wished he could just leave the moon and go back down, but he couldn't do that. Oh but how he wanted to see them again so much.

Although, Kiana's mind went back to the conversation he had with Klein a while ago. Elysia. Kiana wondered what she was doing, whether she even remembered him as he did with her. He missed her, even if he didn't know her that much. It was stupid that he fell for her as quickly as he did. There was nothing he could do now but to just think and try to move on. It wasn't like Elysia was going to pop out of nowhere and speak to him, maybe even tell him how she felt.

"I don't know if you will ever know this, Elysia, or if you can even hear, but i like you, a lot. More than a friend," he confessed, whispering to the Earth. It was stupid he knew, but he couldn't hold it in anymore.

A sudden noise came from besides Kiana making him jump a little. He turned his head to see a pink flower next to him. Huh? What? He picked it up, making sure to be careful with it because he didn't want to break it. Staring at it, a face could be seen in the reflection of something. Kiana was confused so he turned around and-

"Hiiii," Elysia said in her usual tone, smiling at him.

"AHHH, HOLY-" Kiana screamed out, falling onto his back. He felt like his soul had just jumped out of his body.

Elysia laughed at his reaction. She held her hand out for him, which Kiana gladly took and she pulled him off his back. She was smiling so hard. She was hear with him again.

"Sorry for scaring you like that," she apologised, sitting down next to Kiana. Suddenly, the cold atmosphere hit her hard and she felt her whole body freeze. "Auuuhh, Kiana, it's cold." She jumped into his arms, giving him a hug.

Kiana quickly recovered from the scare and now had a smile on his face as he wrapped his arms around Elysia to bring her in closer. Just because he sometimes gets cold, doesn't mean his power of increasing his body temperature had gone away. So, he did just that, rising his body temperature to warm her up. Elysia then snuggled right up to him./p>

"How did you get here?" Confusion very quickly heard in Kiana's voice. Elysia didn't blame him for being confused, she did quite literally pop out of nowhere.

She lifted her head that was dug into Kiana's shoulder. "Klein helped me through some sort of portal. I think they were quite sick of me talking about you constantly."

"You talk about me?"

Elysia looked at him with soft eyes, she could see his face relax the more he looked at her. "Of course i did. Who could resist a handsome person like yourself?" She giggled seeing him become flustered.

Kiana stumbled a little on his words before he finally got what he wanted, "well, i think you're a beautiful lady yourself."

"Aww why thank you, you're such a sweetheart." Elysia giggled, hugging Kiana tighter. He was so comfortable and she didn't want to leave. "Although, i think this pretty boy wants to say something to me." She placed a hand on his face.

"Wait, what?"

"Come on, silly. I heard you, but i would you to say it to my face," she teased, she knew what Kiana had said because she did hear him, she just wanted him to confess.

To say Kiana was flustered and slightly embarrassed would be an understatement. He was blushing quite badly and having Elysia stare at him made him blush even more. She was just so beautiful and she was even hugging him!

"Uhhh," Kiana started off, gulping when Elysia moved her hand down to place it just below his neck. "I like you a lot, Elysia.

"I like you too, Kiana." Elysia's smile never faltered.

"I like you more than a friend."

"I like you more than a friend too," Elysia whispered, pulling away from the hug to grab Kiana's face with both her hands. She could feel how warm his face was. Those blue purplish eyes that stared into her purple ones were so soft. He looked at her with such love, how he relaxed into her hands.

Elysia couldn't help it, she leaned in and gave him a soft kiss on his lips. Kiana couldn't miss this opportunity so he reciprocated the kiss, having his arms fall to around her waist, holding her gently. The kiss was only short, but it showed a lot. They stared into each other's eyes, how Elysia could see the love that presented itself in those eyes. She couldn't help but blush.

She had to turn away from those eyes before she melted. A warm feeling filled her, it felt so right. Kiana continued to look at her, she was the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. Elysia turned to look at him after she regained herself.

"The Earth looks beautiful tonight, don't you think?" She asked. It's what they both fought for and she was so happy that Kiana was able to do the job she never got to finish.

"Not as beautiful as you," Kiana whispered to her, pressing a kiss into her cheek, making Elysia giggle and blush. She forgot how much of a flirt he could be too.

Staring back into those eyes, Elysia could see how Kiana looked at her with such love. His face showing that bright smile. Oh how she was so happy he felt the same. She was scared at first that he wouldn't because she didn't know what she would do if he didn't. But, she was glad he did.

Elysia leaned in and pressed a soft kiss under Kiana's lips. "What does this make us?" She asked, carefully.

"Whatever you want to be," Kiana responded quickly. He really didn't care about what Elysia wanted to do, he was just happy to be with her.

She thought about it for some seconds before responding. "Lovers."

"Lovers," Kiana copied her.

Staring back at each other, soft giggle left their lips before Kiana brought then in for another kiss. This time it was longer and felt so right. It was almost like they were meant to be because as they kissed, a meteor shower rained above them, making the space around them look beautiful.
