"Haji, look what I have here..."
"Don't tell me, s-sis..."
"Yep. It is exactly what it looks like."
"You aren't serious..."
Kyou proudly shows her sister what she got from her email. It's an invitation to perform at one of the biggest stages for indie bands in Japan. There's a catch, however...
"It's out of Tokyo?"
"For some weird reason, they're hosting it in Hamamatsu. So... it's train riding ti-"
"No need to worry!" Momoka said as she barged into the room, embracing Kyou at the same time. "I've asked Saya-san to help us with the transportation!"
"M-Momo, h-heavy..."
"What a rude thing to say to a woman," Momoka pouts after Kyou said that to her. "Hmph!"
"You know, sis... Normally I'd be on your side but... This time, Momoka is absolutely right."
"Well, fuck me, I guess."
"Hey, y'all don't mind if I smoke in the car, right?"
"I would mind," Kyou answered Saya's question. "My electric guitar is still fresh outta the shop. Wouldn't want it to get a tad bit too smoky now, would I?"
"Yes, yes, Oyaji."
Kyou still can't believe what she's currently doing. To go so far as to erase her previous public images as a genius violinist and then re-debut as a guitarist is a little bit too drastic of a change, she thought. But, what Shiho taught her a few years back is to live how she wants to. And, she's taking that lesson to her heart.
"Man... Kyou-chan, growing up musta been rough for 'cha, right?"
"Pardon?"
"You threw all your legacy down the trash can, didn't 'cha? I mean, when you showed up with your sister's band, I thought you were some kind of a stray animal, ha-ha!"
The first time Kyou met Saya, she was dressed in all sorts of costumes that you could call "outlandish". She was envisioning herself as a punk-ish girl with her trusty electric guitar roaming down the streets of notes trying to make a living day by day.
Actually, it wasn't 100% her idea.
"W-Well... That was Momo's idea, mostly."
"Eh? Momoka-chan?" Shiho was taken aback. "You have that kind of taste?"
"Before that, what the hell are you doing here, Shiho-san?"
"Kyou dragged my ass from SSGIRLS to help out here. To be honest, I was thinking of sleeping all day while leisurely playing my favorite games but I guess that could come later."
"Yori came into the studio the other day and she was so fucking pissed it's visible on her face."
"Nah, that was Hima-chan taking a small break since her family's on a trip."
"Oh."
"I didn't know you Amasawa sisters have a villa here. How rich are you guys, really?"
"I dunno," Kyou shrugged. "It was mostly our parents' fortune from selling various music compositions."
"Should I get going, then?" Saya reaffirms her purpose.
"I mean, you could stay if you'd like to." - Hajime
"The more the merrier!" - Momoka
"I'm not against it." - Shiho
"How much are you willing to pay, then?" Kyou teased her. "After all, it's our house."
"You know, I'm your fucking driver. Do I even have to?"
"Joking!"
"What do you guys wanna eat?" Momoka - the cook - asks everyone who's present in the house. As Kyou and Hajime brought a lot of ingredients to this place, she could cook pretty much everything that's on top of her head. She prefers to cook what her friends and girlfriend want to eat the most, though.
"Omurice." - Saya
"Chicken Curry." - Shiho
"Zaru Soba." - Hajime
"I'll go make them on my own, sweetie." - Kyou
"Alright <3!"
To be honest, I wish I could cook for her.
"Hmm~ Hmm~ One, two, Freddy's c- Wait, what am I doing? I should be doing Omuri-"
"Pardon the intrusion, dear!"
"O-Oh! Come in!"
Currently, Kyou is helping Momoka in preparing Miso Soup for her fellow bandmates and her temporary driver. She's making sure every unwanted bit of the soup is cleared out so that it wouldn't ruin their experiences of eating together for the first time since Lorelai was formed. Shiho isn't in the band, yet, she's mostly treated as an honorary member due to her past rivalry with Kyou.
"You know... Kyou-chan," Momoka muttered. "This makes me feel like we're a couple of newlyweds."
"Mmm... Right. Yeah, it does, doesn't it?"
W-What's with this situation?
"Getting to live together, cook together and travel together honestly sounds like a big pipe dream. Yet, here we are."
"Haha, true."
Back then, she was shier than this, I reckon.
Not like I hate the outgoing Momoka, though. She's always cute. I mean, all Momo-chan is.
A few years ago...
"Amasawa-senpai!"
"What is it?"
"P-Please accept this!"
She handed me a small box. Inside, it was filled to the brim with chocolates and a paper on top. I still have that box inside my closet until this day.
"Please accept my confession." is what was written on the paper.
I can't refuse such a cute method of doing it now, can't I? She does seem very serious, too.
"Kyou-chan?"
"Uweh!?"
"Mou! I kept on asking if you want to help me or not and you're still spacing out!"
"Sorry, sorry!"
To be honest, I always wanted to play how I wanted. I never wanted to win any contests whatsoever. It's just that my playing methods are loved by judges all over Japan, overshadowing Shiho - who I'm sure is greater than me in the process.
I also owe some parts of my current life to Momo-chan as well. She's one of the first people who encouraged me on my new journey with my trusty electric guitar. Hell, she even pestered me to teach her how to play bass so that she could play it with me. Then, Lorelai was born, soon after. We win contests left and right thanks to Momo's bass and Haji's drums... And, frankly, my guitar shredding skills + vocals. Shiho also seems to be happy with her current band - SSGIRLS - so I won't really ask her to join us. Her help from time to time is always greatly appreciated, though.
"Ahaha, it sure is nice to see Kyou-chan's relaxed side."
"S-Shut up..."
Aw jeez, I can't stop grinning. Momo-chan's face is like a small hamster, she's too adorable!
Momo... Stay like this, forevermore.
