Work Text:
"general kujou, there's... um, another criminal has been captured. he's in... the usual place..."
as soon as the tenryou commission soldier finished his second sentence, sara fired off her fifth arrow of the morning – which just barely missed the center of her target – and sternly turned to glare at him.
"was it shikanoin?"
the soldier sweatdropped, "yes, general. we assume so."
sara furrowed her brows. she could only dejectedly sigh.
"of course. thank you for letting me know. you're dismissed."
"it's only my duty, general."
sara took her bow and all her remaining arrows and set out towards her office. the detective sure works fast. honestly? she really has no idea why he keeps doing it. he's probably getting a kick out of it or something. but at this point, she's done. if he keeps publicly humiliating her like this, it'll make the rest of the tenryou commission look incompetent.
after entering her office, sara carefully set down her bow as to not damage it. she then began rummaging through her various drawers until she found what she was looking for – a small pink key. she picked it up an grimaced at it. she also made sure to grab a pair of classic metal handcuffs.
after getting everything she needed, she turned around and headed towards hanamizaka.
–––
as soon as she stepped foot in hanamizaka, she could see a small crowd forming around a street light. gathering all of her confidence, she put on a serious front and marched towards it.
after seeing the poor criminal (and this was really the only time she's ever felt sorry for a criminal) handcuffed to the light, she decided to make this as quick and painless as possible for both her and him. ignoring the around dozen people around him, she spoke:
"you're under arrest in the name of the almighty shogun."
"i can see that, kujou."
still trying not to cringe, she walked over to him and unlocked the fluffy pink handcuffs and instead handcuffed the poor guy with the other pair she brought with her.
"show is over. you can go mind your own business now."
with just a few words from her, the small crowd reluctantly dissipated while whispering amongst themselves. with the pink handcuffs in one hand and dragging the criminal with the other, sara damn near speedwalked through the rest of inazuma city.
---
"you asked for me, general?" heizou asked with that stupid, insufferable smile of his.
"i am going to kill you."
the detective, obviously trying to hold in his laughter, replied: "now now, miss kujou, that's just a little bit mean, no? threatening your subordinate like this?"
sara's eyebrow twitched. "do you think public humiliation is funny?"
"i think there's been a misunderstanding. i'm just doing my job, and i'm doing it quite well if i do say so myself."
sara sat down into her office chair and put her head in her hands.
"hey now, general, i mean, if i had known it bothered you this much, you could've told me sooner! communication in relationships is key, y'know."
sara could only exhale in disappointment.
"if you stop doing this, i'll let it slide and your pay will be unaffected."
heizou simply rolled his eyes, "alright, alright. promise, this was the last time."
sara narrowed his eyes at him. "i quite hope so. you may leave."
heizou hopped out from his chair and turned on his heel to leave. he, however, stopped in the doorway and shot sara one last look.
"kiminami is serving her newest recipe this evening. my treat."
sara crossed her arms in front of her chest and mumbled, "...i'll be there at eight. don't be late, otherwise i really will kill you."
"of course, sara." he grinned and finally closed the door behind him.
