Chapter 1: Life before the invasion

Chapter Text

The flowing bitter air swept passed the guardians of the world as they sat around a campfire, not saying a word to each other, but exchanged nervous glances. The sound of the ocean waves breaking against the side of the cliff could be heard, as bright wisps flew about the air. The Fractured stronghold was just over the horizon as darkness energy began flowing out from the skyscraper smokestacks. The battle was going to be over soon, but whichever way it went, no one could be certain. The silence was deafening, and they knew that, at least. They had gone over so many plans, so many strategies, so many fallbacks, and for all they knew, it was all going to blow up in their faces without any warnings, and they couldn’t prepare for it if it came to that. Some, like Anger and Joy, polished their weapons till they could see the worry in their own eyes, hidden by the exhaustion, some, like Donald and Goofy, stared at the sky as the stars started to become visible wondering what the future would hold, depending on the outcome of their final fight, and others, like Alice and Snow White, looked into the fire, admiring the warmth and safety it was able to provide, even with the danger looming over everyone.

Scrooge McDuck flipped the golden coin in his hand, catching it before flipping it again. Stopping, he looked down at the coin, seeing his reflection in the shimmering currency, reflecting on his life and how he got the wealth he was known for having. It made him think; what will he do after all of this is done, and if they win? Will he still have his wealth? Would he donate it all and start anew? He looked over to his nephews, Hewie, Dewie and Lewie, who were all resting, tired from the long journey they had embarked on. “Bless their hearts…” He thought to himself, shaking his head before putting his coin away.

Beast looked down at Belle, who was curled up next to him. Even with the fire burning she still felt cold. Closing his eyes, he carefully draped his cloak over her, allowing her to get a little warmer as the sun set over the horizon.

Oswald laid on his back, watching wisps flying over his head like majestic stars…the only thing on his mind was getting back to the Wasteland. How scared everyone must’ve been, and…if Ortensia was okay. He couldn’t live with himself if he knew she was in danger, but, he couldn’t allow another world to be in danger to whatever it was the Mad Doctor was planning, especially if Heartless were at play. He held up his little control device, staring at the button. It was one of the last few things he got from the doctor before all of this went started.

This is our home.

Mickey Mouse stood up, putting his sorcerers hat on before looking over to the ledge they were staying at. He put a hand on Minnie’s shoulder before walking over and stood at the ledge, looking out into the distance, staring at the fortress, crossing his arms and feeling the breeze gently push against his hat.

This is our story.

Woody would stood up, tapping his boot against the ground, putting his gauntlets on his hands and old hat on his head, as Sora got up as well, picking his keyblade up and rests it on his shoulder before they both joined Mickey, staring at the stronghold. Bigger than any city they’ve ever been in. Stronger walls than they’ve ever seen. And lots of security.

And this…may be our last chance…

Two years ago

Legend has it that once, there were two stars that collided into each other. Because of that, a whole new world was created, mirroring ones that have always existed in the past. Familiar for a lot, yet…different upon closer inspections. This is our world; the world of the Mirrorverse. Evolved heroes and villains live here, coexisting in a time of peace. There is nothing for us to fight each other over, no immense source of power, or riches beyond any of our wildest dreams or political struggles. We all have each other to rely on, and with that, as long as the Stellar Mirror, the source of all the magic in the Mirrorverse, stays intact, we can rest easy knowing our lives are safe and sound here.

Mickey smiles as he sits his feathered ink pan back in its inkwell, sitting his journal to the side before looking out the window. The large city of Twilight Town was just outside, embracing the warmth of the sun as it rose up, a waterfall sparkled and shimmered, giving a glimpse of a rainbow in the lake below. He smiled before stepping out onto the castle balcony, enjoying the breeze of the morning air brush through his big, rounded ears. He looked down to the streets, seeing everyone was getting ready for the day, most notably, Sheriff Woody and his deputy, Judy Hopps, who had jumped up to give the cowboy a morning fist bump before they started their patrol, just as Belle approached them, carrying a hand basket in her right hand.

“Good morning, you two.” She greeted, waving her hand.

“Howdy, Miss Belle!” Woody greeted, tipping his hat to her. “Off  to visit the Beast at his castle?”

“Yes sir.” She nodded. “We have an entire planned out for today, so I’m a little excited for that!”

“Oh! Sense you’re going that way…” Judy darts back inside, soon coming back with a box that had the label “Hopps Family Farm” on it and held it up to Belle.

“Could you deliver this pumpkin pie to Halloween Town? Jack’s big party is tonight, and he wanted something sweet for the occasion!”

“Sure, I can drop this off.” She nods before taking the box. “But I think it’ll take a lot more than one pie to satisfy an entire group of partiers.”

“Oh, don’t worry, my family is bringing the rest tonight!” Judy said, waving a hand. “Hopefully you and Beast make it tonight!”

“Oh, we’ll see. You know how he is when it comes to large gatherings.” Belle said, playfully rolling her eyes. “But if you guys are there, I’ll see you then!”

“You got it! Stay safe out there, Belle!” Woody smiled as the brunette walks away, waving them goodbye as she went pass a few other residents who were going about their morning routine, like Mike and Sully, who were stepping out of a local café, two cups of coffee in their hands.

“Alright, Mike, you ready for today’s presentation?” Sully asks before taking a sip of his morning brew, while his short, round and one eyed companion did the same.

“I don’t know, Sully, I’m feeling a little nervous.” Mike says before looking over his notes.

“I’m telling ya, this scream energy will be a great alternative for the power of Mirrorverse. Cleaner, more resourceful, plentiful by the looks of it, and we won’t have to worry about random blackouts! Plus, it’ll be a great way for us to save and reserve our magic should we ever need it!”

“I know, Sully, that’s way I tagged along to help ya!” The two laughed, bumping their fists before looking up at the sky, looking at the white monolith that stood high far to the west. “You ever think those guys will ever come out of that thing?”

“Eh, who knows. They got their own job to do…whatever it is, so it probably has top priority over anything else outside of their home.”

“Do we even know who’s up there?”

“From what I know, it’s just a group of creatures that are entirely based on emotions. They’re pretty harmless, I think.” Sully just shrugs his shoulders before taking another sip of his coffee.

“Eh, fair enough…though I am curious about those glowing orbs that come out of the monolith at night. They seem to just fly all over the place.”

“I’m sure we’ll figure that out sooner or later, don’t fret it, little buddy.” Sully pats Mike on the head before they walk away from the café, and down to the park area, where they saw Alice Liddell, setting up a morning show, using her imagination to create large singing flowers, to which she would orchestrate. They didn’t call her the Dream Weaver for nothing, has she seemed to have a knack for making not only her dreams, but the dreams of others a reality.

“You can learn a lot of things from the flowers, for especially in the month of June.” The flowers all sang before Alice points to a large, beautiful white rose.

“There’s a wealth of happiness and Romance, all in the Golden afternoon!”

“Excellent work as always everyone!” Alice bows her head to the flowers, just as Snow White came by, whistling a merry little tune, Bambi and his friends, Thumper and Flower approaching her to hear her voice, while in the park, a group of kids were playing soccer.

“Luz Noceda gets ready to make the shot, ten seconds left on the clock…” A young witch in practice grinned to herself, making a monologue as she lifts the brim of her witch hat from covering her eyes before slipping a glyph from out of her sleeve. “Will she be able to make the winning shot?”

“Hey, I see that!” Lilo called out, pointing at the glyph, as Stitch grunts, also pointing at it.

“C’mon, Luz, we agreed to play fair!” Jake Long said, crossing his arms.

“Oh, alright!” she rolled her eyes before slipping the glyph back in her pocket, sticking her tongue out before kicking the ball up with her foot, juggling it with her knees before kicking it towards the goal. Jake tried to block it but missed the mark by a few inches. “YES!”

“Not bad for a witch in training.” Jake said, dusting himself off, smirking.

“A bit sluggish for an American Dragon.” Luz smirked back.

“Oh, you wanna see sluggish?” He asks before getting back up.

“Bring it on, scales!” She says before pulling out the glyph again. Before they could get into their ‘who’s better’ battle, the sound of the church bells began ringing, echoing throughout the town, indicating that it was time for a town meeting!

“Meeting time!” Stitch says before he and Lilo ran off.

“Heh…saved by the bell.” Lus and Jake said to each other before following suit.

“We got a town meeting, everybody! Let’s go!” Donald Duck calls out as everyone started to gather around town hall. Dumbo landed on one of the roofs with Timothy Mouse in his hat as Buzz Lightyear lands next to him, while Pongo, Perdita, lady, Tramp, the dalmatian puppies, Dutchess and her kittens occupied the balconies above the crowds so they could see. Everyone chatted amongst themselves until Mickey took to the stand, tapping the microphone with his finger.

“Good morning, everybody!” He greeted, lifting his sorcerer’s hat, giving his trademark smile to the crowd. “We have a lot to go over today, so I won’t take up too much time, as I know you all have things to do! That being said, Sheriff Woody will now take the stand!” Everyone clapped as Mickey stepped away from the stand and sat next to his wife as Woody got up to get to the microphone. He tested the mic by blowing a few puffs of air.

“Hello? Check, that better?” He hears his voice coming out of the speakers and smiles. “Alright, everybody hear me? Up on the rooftops and balconies, you guys can hear me?” He waved up as the puppies began to howl in response, letting him know they could hear him. “Great! Okay! First item today…” He picks up the clipboard on the podium, examining it closely. “Oh yeah! Wednesday night’s ‘over usage of magic’ awareness meeting, was, I think, a big success and we’d like to thank Jafar, Ursela, Eda and Belos for putting it on for us, thank you guys!”

“But of course.” Jafar nods his head as everyone claps to them.

“It was our pleasure, Pull String.” Eda says with a wink. Seeing that, Woody cleared his throat before looking at his notes, deciding to move along with the meeting notes.

“Now let’s see…ah, yes! We have a few presentations to go through! First up, we have Flik the ant, and Ludwig Von Drake, who’d like to show us some new defenses for the Stellar Mirror!” As he says this, the inventors in question pull a table up onto the stage, sitting it down by the podium.

“That is correct!” Ludwig began, adjusting his glasses. “We’ve been spending the last few weeks trying out new possible ways of keeping the mirror safe from possible harm, and I believe we’ve found something to settle on, and you all might agree on it!” He motions his hands towards his ant companion, who removed the white cloth covering the table, revealing a small diorama of the mirror, a large tower with a hand, and a red mannequin.

“We call this the Chucker!” Flik starts to explain as he picks up the remote control on the table. “Right now it’s just a prototype, the full version won’t need a remote! But what it’ll do is detect unwanted visitors who may be wanting to bring harm to the mirror and…” He used the controller to extend the arm out and grab the mannequin before spinning it around and threw it to the side, making Woody duck in order to avoid getting hit. “Tosses them away!”

“What do you think of this invention, Statler?” Waldorf looked at his heckler companion.

“I think this invention is going to make me up-CHUCK!”

“DOOOOOHOHOHOHO!” The two laughed.

“Alright, you two, simmer down up there!” Gaston says, crossing his arms over his chest.

“Must you two always heckle during the meetings?” Elsa questioned, shaking her head.

“Oh, sorry, your majesty!” Statler says, putting a hand up.

“Yeah, no need to give us the cold shoulder!”

“DOOOOOHOHOHOHO!”

“…Anyways.” Ludwig cleared his throat. “We believe that this device, while simple, will help keep any danger away from the mirror! It’ll be a good start, and we will continue research on defenses!”

“Hmm…while I don’t think we’d need defenses, it’s always better to be safe and sorry! All for letting the Chucker get built, say aye!” Woody says, looking to his fellow leaders on stage.

“Aye!” Everyone raised a hand or paw.

“That settles that, then!” Woody says before shaking Flik and Ludwig’s hands before they carried their demonstration off the stage, letting him announce the next presentation. “Next up, one more presentation by our good friends, Mike Wazowski and James Sullivan, who’ve told us they have found a new source of energy!”

“Yes, sir!” Sully says as they stepped onto the stage, Mike wheeling a yellow canister on stage, having it face the audience. “We have been looking into channeling screams into pure energy, and with the help of the people of Halloween Town, we are able to switch from using magic to help power our buildings to using the screams inside of this bad boy!” He explains, patting the top of the canister. “It’ll need a little bit more before we can show what it’s really capable of.”

“Okay, and where do you plan on getting the remaining energy?” Woody asks, unaware that Oogie Boogie was sneaking up behind him.

“BAH!” He roared, making the cowboy spin around, screaming as he stumbles backwards and fell on his back, making the canister ding loudly to indicate it was full. Oogie Boogie laughed, arching back a bit as a few of the other townsfolk joined in on the laughter. “I swear, cowboy, you are too easy to scare!”

“Hahaha! Nothing tops a good Oogie Boogie surprise!” Roger Rabbit cackled, leaning back in his seat and accidentally tumbles out of it.

“That’s funnier than when he drew a mustache on my helmet with a marker.” Buzz chuckled a bit,

“Yeah, very funny.” Woody huffs before standing up, dusting himself off.

“Thanks to Woody, our canister is now full! Mike, if you’ll do us the honors and hook it up?” Sully notions to the generator behind the town hall.

“Got it, Sully!” Mike took the canister and rolled it off the stage before taking it behind town hall. Everyone watched as the power shuts off, all of the lights going out. After a moment, however, the lights suddenly turned on again, getting a few gasps and murmurs in response.

“As you can see, converted screams can be used to power our buildings! This’ll be an amazing alternative to using our magic, allowing us to save it for emergency reserves, and we won’t have to worry about the possibility of running low!”

“Fascinating.” Mickey taps his chin. “And you’re working with the folks in Halloween Town to produce these screams?”

“That’s right!” Sully nods as Mike returns to the stage. “By the end of the month, we should have enough scream energy to power the towns for a good twenty or so years!” Impressive murmurs spread throughout the crowd as they listened to the explanation. It definitely sounded impressive to say the least.

“And the canister you just put into town hall will last that long?” Scar questions.

“It should, as long as nobody takes it out while it’s being used.” Mike responds. “If the canister gets damaged,  nothing bad will happen, but the escapes screams will get pretty annoying and it might cause an electricity shortage, so if you think about touching the scream canister, let me save you some time and tell ya not to do that.”

“I can see the idea, but I would like to suggest maybe using something similar? Like laughs!” Mickey would suggest. “But for now, I guess scream energy does have this place.

“Alright then…everyone for this source of energy say aye!” Woody says, turning to the other leaders of the Mirrorverse.

“Aye!” They declare.

“Okay, in that case, we have a few minor notes here and we’ll have everything wrapped up.” Woody says before checking his notepad. “Friendly reminder that the Halloween Town party is tonight, so if you’re attending, make sure your costumes are ready! Next up, unfortunately Professor Owl’s sing-along songs session will be pushed up to Saturday. He sent a message saying, ‘I’m sorry for delaying the session, but there’s only so much I can do, for I have come down with a terrible case of the bird flu!’…lastly, we have some new residents who just moved in! And I see them right there in the crowd! Why don’t you two come on up and introduce yourselves?” He motions to two beings in the crowd, a woman made of fire, and a man made of water. The fire elemental was wearing a blacksmith’s uniform, complete with goggles and black gauntlets, and the water man wore safety gear and a suit. The two smiled as they made their way up to the stage.

“Hello! I’m Ember Lumen, and this is my husband, Wade Ripple.” The fire woman introduced herself before gesturing to the man next to her.

“Hey there, glad to meet all of you!” He greeted, waving his hand.

“Nice to meet you two! So, what do you do for a living?” Woody suggests, smiling at the two.

“I work in tempered glass.” Ember says, smiling softly.

“And I was Element City’s safety inspector, and now that we’re here, I’ll be the inspector for this town! Speaking of which, I will have to check on that Scream Canister, make sure it’s actually safe and all.”

“Very nice! Alright everybody, let’s all be polite, and give these two a nice, big, Twilight Town welcome!” Woody said before clapping his hands, as everyone else followed suit, letting the two take in the warm greetings. “Okay, I think with that, everything’s accounted for! Ember, Wade, welcome to Twilight Town, and I’m proud to say that this meeting is adjourned!”

With that, the crowd began to disperse, greeting the newcomers or going back to their usual business. Mickey smiled as he stood up with Minnie and began walking with her. Today definitely felt like one of those days, were you couldn’t open your mouth without a song jumping right out of it.

“Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-yay.” He started to hum as they continued down the street. “My, oh, my, what a wonderful day!”

“Ohh, plenty of sunshine, headin’ our way! Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-yay!” Minnie hums as a blue bird lands on Mickey’s shoulder.

“Mr. Bluebird’s on my shoulder…” he paused as the bird tweets at them. “It’s the truth! It’s actual! Everything’s satisfactual!”

“Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-yay, wonderful feelings, wonderful day!” Mickey and Minnie sang together, holding each other’s hands as they stared up at the morning sky. Yes sir, it didn’t seem like anything could ruin such a beautiful day like today! Beautiful weather, a smile on everyone’s faces, and a song in everyone’s heart. What could possibly go wrong?

Little did they know, things were about to go downhill.

-

“So, what are we doing out here again?” Huey asks, looking around at the landscape around him, his brothers, and Max.

“We’re supposed to help dad, your uncle Donald and Mickey look after the Mirror today.” Max explained. “So, I figured it’d be best to get a head start after the town meeting.

“I don’t get why we have to keep an eye on it.” Louie shrugs, putting his hands in his jacket pockets. “The thing is strong, and nobody really ever goes near it.”

“Yeah, but you never know.” Dewey says. “Anyone could turn Heel and want to smash it, or some powerful force could come out from the other side!”

“Exactly! Plus, it’ll be good practice for when we become defenders!” Max says, keeping a hand on his skateboard as they came up the hill, spotting Goofy and Donald, who were relaxing by the mirror.

“Hey, Maxie!” Goofy greeted his son, waving his hand.

“Boys, you decided to tag along today!” Donald smirked a bit before standing up.

“Hey, Uncle Donald.” The boys greeted.

“Wait, did you guys not attend the meeting?” Max asked.

“We had mornin’ shift, Max! Can’t really attend anythin’ unless it’s in the evenin’!” Goofy justifies before standing up himself.

“Say, where’s Mickey at?” Dewey asked.

“He’s a bit late, but he’ll be here soon. He never skips a day of Mirror checking, no matter who’s on duty.” Donald says before looking to the mirror, watching as the dark purple and black colors swirl around.

“Ya ever think there’s anythin’ on the other side?” Goofy asks, standing by the ducks side.

“Who knows. Just hope it plans on staying on that side.” The duck shook his head. “I ain’t scared to clobber ‘em back in there!”

“Hey everybody!” Everyone’s attention was suddenly drawn to Mickey’s voice, who was approaching the group with a smile. “Sorry for the wait, I wanted to walk Minnie home before making my way over here!”

“Aw, it’s alright, Mick!” Goofy laughed. “Ya made it in the end, anyways!”

“So how long are we gonna be out here?” Louie asks, casually looking around.

“Just a couple more hours at least.” Donald says. “So get comfortable.”

Just then, there was rustling coming from the bushes and trees nearby, getting the groups attention. There was rumbling, and it was getting progressively louder as the trees began to shake.

“Uh…dad? What is that?” Max asked as Goofy got between him and the potential danger, leaning forward to get a better look at what was coming.

“I got no idea, but it’s either really big, or there’s a whole lotta them!” He said, getting ready for a fight as he pulls out his tech-infused boomerang while Donald grabbed the large magic induced anchor, lifting it up with his mechanical gauntlets, as slowly, strange reflective creatures made of glass with glowing eyes began to emerge, fierce looking warriors who had their sights set on the mirror as one of them chucked a hammer towards it. Mickey gasped and used his magic to block the attack. Donald growled before gripping his anchor, he charged at the creature, screaming as he swung the anchor, knocking the monsters around.

“Boys, get back to town, tell anyone, Woody, Aladdin and Genie, ANYBODY, that we need help at the Stellar Mirror!” Mickey instructed, looking at Max and the duck trio, who just nod their heads before running off, unaware that they were being followed by a group that Mickey, Donald and Goofy couldn’t see. Goofy would toss bombs he was carrying in his satchel while Donald would swing his large anchor, knocking away the glassy foes who shattered upon hitting the ground as Mickey shot magical projectiles.

“Who are these guys?!” Donald shouts before jumping up and rams his anchor into the ground, causing a shockwave that bounced the enemies away from the trio.

“We’ll worry about that later Donald!” Mickey says, dodging out of the way of an axe that was swung down at him. “For now, we gotta keep them away from the mirror!” Donald and Goofy nod as Goofy ready’s his boomerang. Once he tossed it, Donald hopped on, holding his anchor out, knocking more of the goons away as he spun until the boomerang came back to Goofy, giving Donald a chance to get off first. The fight went on for what felt like ages, as more of these creatures started coming out of the woodworks, practically overrunning the trio. They fell over, exhausted from how long the fight has been going on.

“There’s too many of them…!” Donald pants as the three got closer together as they were surrounded by these monsters. Suddenly, someone got in front of the trio, protecting them by swinging their weapon in a wide arc, bouncing the enemies away and knocking them to the floor, shattering them. Looking up, they gasped as they were greeted by Rapunzel, who was twirling her frying pan.

“Hey guys! Need some help?” She asked them.

“Rapunze!” They smile as they quickly got up to their feet.

“I heard the commotion and got here as fast as I could! Don’t worry, I even got their back up, too.” She smiled at them.

“Great! Then we should start heading back to town!” Mickey says, and as if on Cue, there was an explosion, coming from Twilight Town, making the group jump. They looked to each other, and without saying a word, they all darted off, unaware that strange black creatures with yellow glowing eyes were crawling out of the mirror, a group of men dressed in black with sharp gold eyes followed suit.

“It seems the legends were true, after all.” Master Xehanort spoke up, looking around the land before him. “This world will be a great source of darkness…especially with these mirror creatures roaming around.” He chuckles to himself as Maleficent, Pete and the Mad Doctor step through the portal.

“I was lucky to find a gateway to this world.” The doctor laughed as ink blot monsters and robots started to seep their way through the mirrors. “And to you, my heartless companions…once we have those hearts, I will be able to leave the Wastelands and keep that passageway closed, forever!”

“I’m still a little fuzzy on the details of your plan, doc.” Pete admits. “If just one heart is enough for one of you toons to escape, then why go after a whole hoard of the stuff?”

“To help our heartless grow stronger, you oversized twit…” Maleficent rolled her eyes as older variants of Pete got out as well, Small Pete, Pete Pan, and their leader, Big Bad Pete. “Now we must find this world’s version of me, I’m sure she has these mirrored creatures under her control by now…everything will fall nicely into place, and we’ll bleed this world of all it’s worth. As long as they and the heartless I’ve sent ahead of time keep those fools in that town busy, we’ll have plenty of time to get things ready.” Her and the Mad Doctor raised their hands, indicating to the Heartless and the Blot Monsters that they were going to move out, and the group started to walk away from the mirror, just as Oswald and Sora got out.

“We’re too late!” Sora looked around, seeing that the bad guys they were pursuing were gone, snapping his fingers.

“Welp, looks like we’re gonna have to do it the old fashioned way.” The lucky rabbit shook his head before another explosion came from the nearby town. “C’mon! Looks like they’ll need our help!”

The two nod to each other before running off, with Oswald hovering the air by twirling his ears like the propellers of a helicopter, flying next to Sora as they ran through the forest.

-

“The battle was long…and dreary.”

Mickey exhaustedly rubbed his face, sighing as he looked worryingly outside at the ruins of Twilight Town, stepping out onto the balcony, watching as those who stayed behind were trying to fix up the damages.

“It seemed like just a few of these creatures…these Fractured as we will call them, tried to attack the mirror, but we were able to stop them. Next thing we knew, we were suddenly surrounded by these other strange creatures. Heartless, blots and blotworxs as they’re called by our new friends, Sora and Oswald. Had they not come around, we might have been in trouble. Sora, a nice fella, filled us in on just about everything. Our Maleficent has betrayed us! Somehow, she got in contact with another version of herself who works with Xehanort, the master of these Heartless creatures. From what I understand, our world is full of resources they want to harvest, most importantly, our hearts. From what I understand, heartless are created when the darkness in someone’s heart consumes them…stealing someone’s heart can also cause it. The stronger the heart, the stronger the Heartless. I can only imagine the chaos caused by these strange arrivals will affect everyone’s hearts. Woody…I feel horrible for him. Bo got damaged badly in the fight, and none of us know if she’ll be able to recover, and those creatures took Andy. Despite that…he’s still willing to help and keep everyone’s spirits up, especially if it means saving his boy. I knew he was the right choice to look after this town…”

“Then, there’s Oswald. I feel he doesn’t like me, or the me from his world. Especially after what he’s told me, during the emergency town meeting after the battle.”

“I used to be a star, once.” He says to the crowd. “I used to appear on the silver screen and be adored by millions…I was living the dream…until that freakin’ rat came!” He points at me, aggressively, everyone gasping. “Not only did you take my fame away; you took my fans, you took my glory, my life, EVERYTHING, that should’a belong to me! But worst of all…you. Took. Walt…from me…” It took a bit of time to convince him that I wasn’t the same Mickey he resented, but I can tell, for him, it didn’t matter. He had been living in what he calls the Wasteland, home for a lot of forgotten characters, for over eighty years, so, I’m pretty sure he just wanted a chance to yell at ANY Mickey, and I just ended up being the target. He’s not happy, but until this whole situation is resolved, he’s elected to stay and help out, as the Mad Doctor is from the same world as him. The Doctor is also after a heart, but just one. One powerful enough that will give him the chance to leave the Wasteland forever. That heart happens to be mine.

“A good chunk of the guardians have returned home throughout Mirrorverse, putting a stop to the invasions that threatened their way of life. Port Royal made it, thanks to the help of the Neverland pirates, but for those from Halloween Town, they’ve unfortunately lost their homes. We’re currently working on building Flik and Professor Ludwig’s machine to protect the Stellar Mirror, and make sure there’s plenty of them, but we have so little time, and we have to keep watch over the mirror. It’s uncertain how far this destruction will go, but one thing is for sure…we must band together and put a stop to all of this. I just hope everyone’s ready…and prepared for whatever comes next…”
