Wind whipped around the rundown stage holding distant laughter, that could only be described as an aura of pixie dust that coated the Wonderland x Showtime stage, it was one of the magical wonders that just couldn't be explained; it transformed what was once an abandoned stage to an utopia.A glowing stage in which he had performed so many times and yet never failed to insight him with smiles. Yet the glow barren by the flamboyant star no matter how magnificent the stage blossomed,my star was far more radiant. "Jeez what's with all the smirking I can't believe I'm the one who has to tell you to get to work " She let out a small huff as she finished speaking her eyes filled with judgement as she raised her right eyebrow "at least try to hide why " she sighed before walking off to the stage to practice the final dance scene although the choreography had been established the song itself was gruelling to say the least.
He stood up slowly, proceeding to do some quick stretches before relocating curious intent registered from Nene's words trying to push it to the back of his mind: instead focused on the objective to be a worthy director with his trope and shine along with them.
Hard earned sweat drizzled his head as the sun now lowered as though it was watching their performance. Morning sun, elegant clouds and blue sky illuminated the scene as he would normally take in the ethereal scene feeling the warmth below from within him. He would be enjoying it, if he wasn't so thirsty his tongue famished for a refreshing taste of cold water and to think he was unfortunate to forget today of all days. Practice wasn't close to done meaning his insufferable thirst will slice him open till- his thoughts are cut short as he feels soft hands tap at his back he turns swiftly and tilted his head to see the strawberry blonde boy looking at him with his usual highfalutin. His hands on his waist, eyebrows slightly scrunched looking in tainted concern
"WELL WELL DIRECTOR" his voice boomed much to his customary attitude if robonene wasn't charging he wonders how loud it would be, the shorter continues "you seem rather complacent I hope our director isn't sick…you do look rather pale"
Rui felt a recurring yet overpowering feeling when Tsukasa was near he looked past him to see Emu and Nene talking as Emu bounced laps around Nene doing her typical cartwheels and flips; his eyes land on the boy once again before finally answering "Fufufu~ is my star worried about me, you see I forgot my water bottle so I'm rather famished at the moment" Tsukasa get out a sigh of relief before looking up to look into the boy's face raising his hands from his hips and instead grabbed his bottle nearby and pointed it at Rui "As the star I am, it's my job to make sure my trope is in top condition and as your friend Rui you should be more careless" he pushed the bottle into Rui's chest before smiling softly "but" Rui let out a uncharacteristic squeak suddenly feeling the heat in his face intensity vigorously. Emu's eyes glanced over at the two eyes widening before tapping Nene and pointing in the direction with a face of disbelief
"EEEEK ITS HAPPENING" she fought to contain the vile whisper "no way" Nene stares holding Emu's hand tight. "It better happen"
Rui was panicking, was an immense understatement holding Tsukasa water bottle with his hands shaking, his thoughts moving at 100x speed, he wondered if tsukasa could hear his heart beat as he heard it ring in his ear. As if time had stopped, is this how I die drifted into his mind, Tsukasa bottle was the type you can't drink without actually touching the tip of the bottle meaning, he would be having an indirect kiss, an indirect kiss with the guy he has a album of pictures of, the guy who would try every experiment tossed at him, the one that trusts him more than he trusts himself. Rui could feel himself foaming at the mouth, did Tsukasa not realise or did he not care or maybe he feft the same way, impossible. His eyes glimpse over at Tsukasa who seemed confused at the talkers hesitance, he forked up a rare confidence "If you're so sure I should of known my star would be so kind" Tsukasa looked prideful sending him pose 59 and a rare soft smile, that he could swear he was emitting light like a candle in the dark filling his now foreign emptiness with warmth and hope.
He raised the bottle to his lips and tasted strawberry chapstick, he never knew water could taste so heavenly "I should forget my bottle more often" he thinks out loud, the sudden surprised when Tsukasa asked why in such a cute manner would give him a heart attack I'd it wasn't for the context of the question kicking him into autopilot mode, he quickly covered up however he knew his heart was racing faster than he knew it could; surely this isn't healthy. After cooling off he instinctively licked his lips and gave Tsukasa his bottle back "I'm glad your ok, if you ever need more tell me" as Tsukasa raised the bottle to his own lips and take a quick drink, then placing it out of the way heedless of the state Rui was left in. He felt like he could melt away , heart doing somersaults , I touched his lips ingrained into his head. The rest of practice he felt like he was born again going smoothly. He packed his things and proceeded to give his farewells to the troupe and walk home with Nene feeling like the world was in his hands he has to tell Luka next time he goes to sekai.
" Are you dating now?" Awakens him from his dream land
"Huh"
"I mean Tsukasa did confess to you at practice right.."
" What are you talking about he just gave me some water"
" So you shared an indirect kiss and that's all"

Tsukasa let's out in his booming voice turning to look at the pink haired girl who just happens to live in the other direction
"I'm visiting Saki!! I promised to tell her the details about you and Rui relationship "
Tsukasa stopped in his tracks and proceeded to stare flabbergasted at the short girls words
"Emu what are you talking about" he said loudly shock apparent however "well you confessed to Rui-kun when sharing the indirect kiss with him, it was super WONDAHOII I'm so pleased you finally got it together watching you pin for eachother is exhausting after all you were blushing so much! Saki has been waiting for the news for so longgggggggg"
Tsukasa face burned a vibrant red "he wasn't one to normally blush although his face was comparable to a tomato "indirect kiss" he mumbled chants
"oh you do like Rui-kun…right" Emu suddenly turned sharply to looked at Tsukasa in a dangerous array of emotions
"Tsukasa you do right, it's still super duper ok if you don't…" her voice dipped in a catastrophe of emotions.
"I like him I LIKE RUI " Tsukasa hands hold over his mouth
"YAY wait what YOU DIDN'T KNOW" Emu looked as though she went through the 5 stages of grief in a second , before dashing home "See you at school tsukasa!" "BUT YOU DON'T GO TO OUR SCHOOL"
"i thought you would be over it by now "
"You can still get caught my teachers no matter how many times you sneak in"
" THEY HAVE ME A DUPER COOL PASS NOW "

Tsukasa found himself drenching awake at 3 am unable to get his beauty sleep and instead thinking of the blasted kiss "I like Rui"
On the other hand, Normally Rui made robots but instead he got the warm feelings to keep him up "indirect kiss" made the butterflies in his chest multiply.
BONUS
Nene sat on her bed, phone in hand her finger hovered over the Emu contact before taking a deep breathe, but before she had the chance to contemplate she felt her phone vibrate, proceeding to instantly picked up "Nene!" She heard over the phone she pulled closer to her chest. "WAHHH you won't believe what I found out" she could tell the girl is bewildered and still in shock perhaps she heard the same thing she did from Rui "I think I already know there not together yet"
"so you heard it's soooooo not fairrrr if they like eachother why aren't they dating! It's so so so NOT WONDAHOII ughhh" Nene felt a a small giggle begin to form"I know , these dumbasses are just that oblivious of eachother it's so obvious they like eachother"
Suddenly she heard thumping from Emu side of the call before heading a familiar voice from the line "what do you mean there not dating we aren't talking about your friends right"
She recognised the very bewildered voice to be one of Emu brothers "YEAH and that's not all Tsukasa didn't even think or the indirect kiss and only now figuring out he likes Ruiii! WAHHHH"
A mutual yet deadly silence haunted the call "Emu please tell me your joking" Nene voice felt dry surely this stress couldn't be healthy.
