“Kiss me.”
You had heard it clear as day, but you still couldn’t believe that he had actually just said that. You looked up at him, a confused look in your eyes.
“Kiss me.” He repeated himself. His eyes were fixed on yours, but you looked anywhere but his. You were awfully nervous and tried to avoid his gaze.
He leaned forward a bit. “Y/n,” he said softly, “please, kiss me.”
If you didn’t know who he was, maybe you would’ve done it now. Maybe you would’ve leaned in like you wanted to and maybe you would’ve captured his lips in an amazing kiss, but you didn’t. You didn’t, because you knew who he was.
Pan was not to be trusted. You had been on Neverland for a few months now. You had seen firsthand how ruthless and cruel he could be. It was not an exaggeration when his enemies called him a heartless demon. So… why was he asking you to kiss him?
As if reading your mind, he sighed right on cue. “Y/n… I know what you think of me, but please… give me a chance.” You finally met his eyes and you almost lost yourself. His eyes looked so angelic and loving and sweet and you couldn’t believe you were actually thinking that. You broke the eye contact and your gaze moved to his lips. Why did his lips have to look so soft and cute and kissable?
You did not want to feel this way about him. You really didn’t- You tried to remind yourself of all the bad things you’d seen him do, but somehow the only things that came to mind were the exceptions; the times he’d been nice to you, supportive, soft, even sweet.
Your breathing quickened and you shook your head, trying to get rid of these thoughts.
Suddenly, you felt his hand on your cheek. You couldn’t help, but blush as he caressed your cheek and moved a strand of your hair behind your ear. He moved in a bit closer and you got goosebumps as he whispered, “you’re so cute when you blush.”
You felt like the whole world was frozen and Pan and you were the only people left and your eyes were wide and you stared at him and you didn’t understand any of this. Your mind was all over the place.
Your voice was breathy and quiet- The only reason he was able to hear you was because of how close your faces were, just inches away from touching. “Why?” You hadn’t been able to formulate a more specific question, because nothing made sense anymore. How had you gotten yourself into this situation?
The light was dim, but you could see his signature smug smirk very clearly. You loved and hated that look of his. You loved it, because it made him look so damn hot. And you hated it, because he was never up to anything good when he sported that look. His grin only widened as you impatiently waited for him to say something. “Oh, love, isn’t it obvious?”
You shook your head.
“I just can’t resist you anymore.” His voice was almost hypnotising to you, it was so captivating and you almost believed him.
You leaned away from him. You weren’t sure what to think of any of this. “What do you mean?”
He laughed. It felt more genuine than anything you’d ever heard come out of his mouth. He looked almost vulnerable as he averted his gaze and looked at the ground for a moment. When his smirk returned, it no longer looked mischievous or smug like usual, in stead it just looked- dreamy? It made him look like he was utterly in love with you.
His hand moved your chin to make you look at him again and you blushed even more now.
“I’ve wanted you ever since you stepped foot on my island.”
You wanted to believe him so bad, but could you really? You had seen him manipulate others. You knew how good of a liar he was. You knew how well he had mastered the art of telling people exactly what they want to hear, so that he’d get them to do whatever he wants them to do.
You gulped. You were still looking at him with wide eyes and before you noticed it, a tear ran down your cheek. He wiped it away smoothly with his thumb.
“Shh,” he tried to calm you down, “it’s okay, y/n. I’m here. It’s okay.” You never knew how gentle he could be. Without thinking, you pulled him into an embrace and you hadn’t expected it, but he immediately hugged you back.
He waited for you to say something for a few moments until he spoke again. “I want nothing more than you. I’ve tried to suppress it, but-”
Before he could finish that sentence, you had pressed your lips to his. It was a sloppy kiss, as you were very inexperienced, but it was nice. You loved the way his breath hitched when your lips made contact with his and you loved the way that he pulled you closer. His actions were a bit rushed in desperation and you felt like he’d never been more genuine. You smiled against his lips before you parted again. He was panting and his cheeks were now also painted with a pretty blush.
Another tear streamed down your cheek, this time a happy one. You still doubted that it was a good idea to trust him, but you couldn’t help yourself.
