Work Text:
It was yet another Mechanical Fever concert. Serval, Pela and Lynx got the set out and began testing out their performance, before they started the actual thing. Still, they garnered quite a small crowd for their performance.
“Quite a crowd already, huh?” Pela mentioned to Serval, wheeling her drum kit out. “Since you’ve already got your electric guitar set up, why don’t you go and entertain the crowd for the time being?”
“Sure!” Serval grabs a spare mic and heads out.
“What’s up, folks?” Serval announces. “It’s great to see all of y’all here today! Looks like we’ve got some regulars here too! There’s Regin, Wallace…”
Serval goes on and on, casually chatting with several of the people already here.
“Ooh, looks like we have someone else here today.” Serval aptly notices. “Oh, it’s you, Caelus! Welcome!”
Caelus awkwardly smiles. “Hello,” he says.
“This is the first time you’ve attended a Mechanical fever concert, right? Tell me, why did you decide to come? Is it for the music? Is it because someone asked you to come? Or is it because… of the women?” Serval winks suggestively.
Caelus noticeably blushes at the last statement. “Uh…” At this, people start laughing.
“No worries, I’m just teasing you. Thanks for coming here today!”
As Pela gestures at her, Serval wraps up her pre-show, and gets ready to begin.
“Okay everyone, let’s do this!”
—-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before Caelus knew it, the show was over. It passed pretty fast, with one song after another. It really felt mesmerising as Serval, Pela and Lynx got the crowd hyped up for the next song after the next song. He got swept up in the heat of the crowd, cheering them on, applauding them after their concert.
This was a completely new experience for him - after all, he didn’t experience any other concerts before. He stayed back to give Serval and team his compliments. Yeah, definitely that. Totally.
“He’s still here.” Pela whispered to Serval, pointing to the trailblazer. “You should probably check and see why he’s still here.”
Caelus, staring at his phone, gradually realised Serval was walking towards him and put back his phone.
“Hi, Serval! I just wanted to tell you and the band that y’all did perfectly for this performance!” Caelus yells out.
Serval laughs.”I’m glad that you were able to experience one of our performances!” She says. “Why don’t you go in and say hi to Pela and Lynx too?”
“I would love to! I haven’t met Pela in some time…” Caelus replies, heading in.
“Why, are you missing her? I’ll make sure to leave you two alone for some good bonding time.” Serval teases.
“It’s not like that, really…” Even though Caelus denies it, his face heats up and he’s blushing.
Man, Pela sure is lucky. Caelus is such a good man, I’m sure he’ll be an excellent boyfriend to her. Serval thinks wistfully. It’s hard to find such nice and handsome men in Belobog these days. Particularly ones who would like someone who’s older and disowned like me.
Unbeknownst to Serval, Caelus was keenly looking at her, and wondering what her wistful expression was for.
Caelus entered Serval’s workshop - the temporary headquarters of Mechanical fever. He saw Lynx packing up her keyboard, and gave a small nod and a wave. He then turned his attention to Pela, who was wiping away her sweat with a towel. The small beads of sweat were running down her whole body, and particularly sticking to her legs through/outside her pantyhose. She had taken off her coat, and her forearms and arms were fully exposed. Caelus blushed red at her slender arms, not something he usually sees (surprisingly).
“Seeing something you like?” Serval continues her barrage of teasing.
Deciding enough was enough, Caelus musters his self-confidence and hits back, turning around to face Serval,
“Yeah, I do. She’s right in front of me.” Now, it was Serval’s turn to blush.
Pela whistles. Lynx is also blushing, but makes an attempt to leave first, before getting stopped by Pela. Serval and Caelus’ attention are drawn unto the two of them.
“Go on, you two. Don’t stop just because of me.” Pela says.
“Don’t you have something you want to say to Pela, Caelus? Something from the bottom of your heart?” Serval goes back to her usual teasing self.
“Huh? What? No…” Caelus responds loudly, taken aback.
“Oh? What a shame. I thought you were here to see us because of some deep feelings. Maybe I’m mistaken. Unless…” Serval hangs the question on a high note.
“Unless what?” Caelus asks back, moving closer to Serval.
Not one to be intimidated, she moves in closer.
“Unless you have something for your onee-san here? Don’t worry, I know I’m very attractive. There’s nothing to be ashamed of.” Serval flirtingly responds.
She can hear Pela snickering at the part where she says she’s “very attractive”. Although she knows Pela is just teasing her, she does feel a bit sad at her remark.
“Uh… I…” Caelus stutters. Looking around, he can see Lynx also blushing, but Pela giving him a thumbs up. She mouths, Go for it, silently. Caelus gestures for them to leave with his left hand.
“Hmm?” Serval asks, raising an eyebrow. “Heh, do you really have something you’ll like to tell your big sis Serval?”
Hoping that the others have left, Caelus musters up the courage and decides to confess his feelings.
“The truth is, Serval… I’ve always had feelings for you. You were one of the first people I’ve met here, and one of my real friends. You’ve stuck with me through and through. What’s not to like about you and your charming voice, your beautiful appearance, and your personality?”
Serval blushes.
“Truth be told, I’ve also grown to like you. Your chaotic personality is such a difference from the usual boring people around here. I knew that you were doing something good when you came to rescue us from the stellaron. I always see you hanging around my workshop, now I know why.”
The two of them smile at each other. Caelus starts off first, reaching out a hand to her. Serval accepts it, putting her hand into his. They continue in this blissful harmony for some time, just staring at each other.
“Oh my god, just kiss already!” Pela loudly says, startling them two. “I can’t take it!”
Laughing sheepishly, Caelus leans in extra to Serval, gesturing for her to kiss him. Serval moves in to him, their foreheads butting each other. However, none move in yet.
Caelus gets roughly shoved in, and in the midst of it he seals the kiss with Serval. Serval opened her eyes wide. They bask in the kiss for a while, just softly kissing each other, each feeling content that they finally get to kiss the other.
When they finally break apart, applause reigns through the room. Pela is still there, clapping with a satisfied smile on her face.
“So, how did it go? Did he kiss well? How did his mouth taste like?” Pela hits Serval with tons of questions.
“I, er,” Serval mutters out, blushing like pela didn’t just see her kiss her crush.
“Oh, save it for later. I’ll leave you two to get some quiet time,” Pela says, making her way out, “Oh yeah, one more thing, Caelus!”
“What is it?”
“Remember to use protection! Better be safe than sorry~” Pela teases with a wink.
She narrowly dodges the cushion that Serval throws back.
