This is for all five of the Mr Stick x Burton fans

Summary:

A ton of oneshots I've written while half asleep in the notes app about these two old men who are constantly in my brain. They are uh. Something alright. And there's quite a few of them.

(also, and I know I put this at the start of all my fics that involve him, Burton is Mr Stick's best friend who didn't make it into the final game. I didn't make up a whole guy I'm not that crazy)

Chapter 1: old man yaoi but theres a bug

Chapter Text

"Dear, it's only a wasp."

*Only* a wasp? What kind of sentence was that? Mr Stick found himself glaring at the intruder that had landed on his plate as his husband, Burton, tried to convince him of the creature's innocence.

"He only wants a snack, see? Lots of wasps eat nectar-like substances, like bees." Burton explained, voice calm as always, as he reached his hand over.

Mr Stick watched in utter horror as the wicked insect crawled onto Burton's hand, where the other man admired it as if it was a gorgeous butterfly. Every muscle in his body tensed as he waited for the wasp to mercilessly sting Burton, but the sting never came.

"Did you know- lots of wasps will scrape off bits of old wood from, say, a fence, and use it to construct their nests? They're inventors, in a way. Just like you!" Burton continued, watching nonchalantly as the wasp crawled over his palm.

Mr Stick scoffed. "That pest *wishes* it could invent as well as me."

"Oh, come on. You have to admit it's pretty interesting. Do you want to hold it?"

"Not in a million years! It might like you but it'll sting me for sure!" Mr Stick exclaimed, frantically waving his hands about.

"Suit yourself," Burton chuckled as the wasp finally flew away, causing his partner to breathe a sigh of relief.

"You worry me sometimes, you know?" Mr Stick muttered lightheartedly.

"Feeling's mutual." Burton replied, stifling a laugh. "But don't you worry. I think you're more amazing than any invertebrate could ever be."

"Aww, you're just saying tha-"

"Though you do kind of look like a weevil, so they come close."

"Hey!"
