Sakura was in school, like normal.
Of course she didn`t sleep enough, but that`s besides the point.
With her heavy studies to get into medical school, which she shouldn`t have even be concerned about, because there were still two years until graduation. But still, she couldn`t help herself, wanting to be the best in materials that had anything to do with being a doctor.
Although, if there would have only been her homeworks, she could have gotten better sleep.
But she also had a somehwat shopping addiction, which could only be financed with her part time job.
Sadly, this led to a not so exsiting social life. Sure, she still had Ino and Naruto, and she was freindly with most people, but it wasn`t the same as Naruto.
She was actually meeting Ino on the school ground for their lunch break. Sadly they were in different classes.
Ino was reciting to her about the latest celebrity gossip, about who...? Sakura already forgot who it was about exactly. Ohh...but he cheated on the other important who...?
``...and then at the Met Gala...``
RED
From the corner of her eye, she saw something red.
Her eyes turned to the basketball court, where some guys were playing.
Ohh
She saw immediatelly what was the red color.
It was a guy.
His hair was firery red.
New guy
He was playing basketball with the rest.
His hair was flying in the wind, while he was running with the ball.
He was a site.
She couldn`t take her eyes off of him.
Her mouth run dry, and her pulse quikened.
Who is he?
``Hello!? Forehead, do you hear me?``
Ino was invading her personal space with fury in her eyes.
``Öhm...Sorry Ino`` mumbled while she tried to continue to stare at the guy.
The blonde immediatelly followed her gaze, and the anger in her was replaced with triumph
With a knowing grin she whispered to her
``Little Sakura just had her sexual awakening?``
The pinkette`s cheeck turned red.
``So...`` she looked away in emberassement ``do you know who is he?`` she asked, while partially trying to hide behind her hair.
``I think he is new...maybe I can ask around`` went into thought the blonde
``No!`` said Sakura in a panic ``I can handle it myself`` her palms where up in the air, trying to calm the blond in her endeviours.
``Okay`` she was smiling loveingly at her ``but if you need help, I`m here`` said cheerly.
Sakura petted her on the hair with a smile.
Ohh this was exciting!
She didn`t like anyone since...
That god awful Uchiha.
Of course at that time when she liked him, he was more or less cute, but around two years prior, when she finally mastered up her courage to tell him how she felt, he rejected her, with cruel words.
Maybe he was right though...
Her self esteem at that time was so low, that she even was upset that he didn`t took advantage of her. She thought she must have been very hideus, someone who deserved those words...
After that he became more and more cold and distant with everyone, keeping Naruto as his only friend.
She still didn`t know what happened with him, and she was at a point where she didn`t want to know anymore.
She was over him
And if he wants to pretend that everyone in school is beneath him, she didn`t care.
But who is this new guy?
During the whole lunch break, she had her eyes on him, much to Ino`s amusement.
She wanted him!
While she was staring at him, she observed who was he playing with.
It seemed to be all guys from a different class, the samer age as her.
There was Kiba, Shino, Lee, Neji and some she didn`t knew.
Too bad it wasn`t Ino`s class.
Ohh wait, but it could be Naruto`s class...
And just as she thought of that, the blonde loud boy joined the play.
Okay, he`s gonna be her ticket.
But she needed to prepare first.
She can not be introduced to him like this! She has to look better! And she also wanted to search him up online.After the lunch break she went back to her class, and uncharacteristically, she paid exactly zero attnetion to the teacher.
She ran home, and quikly opened up her laptop.
She only had about two hours before she had to leave for her job, so there was no time to lose. She immediatelly went to her school`s website. If he was new, he must have had to join in February, a month prior, which is enough time to update the student list.
After 15 minutes of scrolling, she found something, but it wasn`t as helpfull as she might have hoped for.
There were three new student added to her school`s list, but none of them had photos attached yet.
She let out a frustrated sigh.
Okay-okay...
Three was actually not that many, and it was still a good lead.
After starring at their names a bit, she quikly ruled out one of them, Temari sounded like a girl`s name. She also noted that they all seemed to have the same last name, were they siblings? she wondered.
So two options were left.
Really, she can figure it out.
She put the first name, Kankuro, into the search bar on her social media.
Succes.
A brown haired buy popped up on her screen, with a giant grin.
No that`s not him.
She quikly clicked out, and went for the second name, Gaara.
But the results were nonsensical.
Does he not have an account?
Ohh...this has started to become annoying.
In her desperation, she even typed in the girl`s name, but of course it was just a pretty blonde girl, and not a handsome redheaded guy.
She almost gave up, and was about to click out, when something caught her eyes on the girl`s page.
There was a family photo, where there seemed to be someone with red hair.
Bingo!
Ohh she found him.
The photo seemed to be a couple of years old, and he was only shoving the side profile of his, and not smiling like the rest.
The girl, and the brunette guy were laughing, and the older man was smiling too, with a giant fish in his hands.
When was this uploaded?
Two years ago.
Hm...
If he was in the same class as Naruto, than he also had to be sixteen like her, so this photo was when he was fourteen.
Yeah, he looked younger, but he also looked nice enough, that it wasn`t hard for her to immagine her fourteen year old self liking him.
That made her giggle.
She concluded that the last name, Garra, had to be him, and that was enough information for her that day.
``Gaara```said his name outloud, and she liked how it sounded. She couldn`t desrcibe it, but it sounded mysterious and cool.
She left for work with a new spirit, and was so cheery during the three hours, she got more tips than her coworkers.
The only other thing of note she did that day, was to run to the drug store after her shift, to buy some makeup, and shower gel.
She left the next day to school smelling like cherries.
