In which Roman decides to be a Grinch

Summary:

A bored Roman Torchwick was a dangerous Roman Torchwick. Normally he would be causing chaos with the boy who had wormed his way into his cold dead heart. Or hanging out with Red and Junior. However three of the four friends who abided by (somewhat) the law were all busy. So that left him with Neo. Who was equally as dangerous as Roman when bored.

This was how the two of them found themselves in Atlas. Roman was waiting outside of an office where he knew a man he hated with a passion was. James Ironwood's office was and quarters were why they were there.

Roman was waiting for Neo to set off their distraction. It would keep Ironwood busy while the two dismantled the man's office. Once the office was done they had plans to do the same to his quarters.

There was a sudden shuffling that he could hear from his position. Roman had just enough time to wedge himself into the crevice before Ironwood's door was thrown open. The man in his crisp white uniform stormed out with fury on his face.

Good. He shot the kid and he deserved the annoyance that Neo brought about. He deserved everything the two were about to do.

After the slow count of ten Roman entered the office. His nose crinkled in disgust at the site of the bare room. There was a single desk in the middle facing the door. Behind it was a large window overlooking Atlas and Mantle.

To Roman's immense annoyance half of the office was bolted down. To let his anger out Roman threw the computer through the window. The shattering of glass made him feel justified. By the time everything but the desk was out the window.

How was he going to get the desk through the window? It was heavier than he expected and he was barely able to push it over to the window.

The sound of clapping made Roman half jump out of his skin. He turned to find a smiling Neo and she indicated to the table. There was a nod from him. With her help and a significant amount of strength they were able to shove the desk through the large window too.

Despite his satisfaction it didn't feel like that was enough. Neo indicated for Roman to follow her towards a door. When he looked inside a maniacal grin formed. Of course Ironwood would have his office and quarters connected.

Roman said with a laugh, "Neo take the ceiling tiles while I get the bed. We will have to move the bookcases together."

Neo gave him a thumbs up and immediately set about doing so. Roman moved with excitement ready to make Ironwood regret his life choices. The bed was the first to go through the window shattering window number 2. Neo followed his lead and began throwing the ceiling tiles out as well.

It took ten minutes for them to complete even moving quickly. Roman knew they couldn't risk staying for much longer. If they did there was a good chance of them being caught by Ironwood. The final items to fall out of the window were two bookcases.

As soon as they crashed loudly to the ground the two escaped from the quarters and the office. Neo gave them new faces while not seen when they came in. On their way outside he picked up the computer that had been in Ironwood's office. It didn't work anymore but he could still sell it for a penny. Just to piss the bastard off.

...

James grumbled as he and Winter returned to his office. Someone had rigged the doors to a storage room to explode. Why? They didn't know. Nothing was stolen and the intruders had yet to be caught. No one who wasn't supposed to be there could be found. The feeling that someone was laughing at him couldn't be thrown out.

Winter entered his office before him and James was running through the security cameras. So he didn't look up until he heard her gasp lightly. James felt his eye twitch in annoyance when he saw what caused the reaction. His office was empty. Completely devoid of even his desk or chair. A broken window was his only visible clue and it did not bode well for him.

Feeling dejected he went to the window to find just what he suspected. 70 feet below them everything in his office lay in pieces. There was another pile that looked like it had come from his quarters.

WHO?! AND WHY?
