Work Text:
Jisung couldn’t believe himself, how could he fuck up so badly ? How could he be holding the chancellor’s son in his arms, swinging around the city as he’s chasing a robber who’s trying to outrun him for stealing an innocent civilian's bag.
That innocent civilian being Zhong Chenle, Zhong Chenle , as in the chancellor’s son who is currently in his arms. Gripping tightly as Jisung can feel his nails attempting to dig through his suit due to the fear of falling and yearning security through clawing him. But as Jisung was surveilling the city, it was around the time Chenle typically came out of class. As he began to walk down the street, unaware of his own surroundings. His larger interest and emphasis on selecting a song for his walk home cost him to be an easy target. The robber, who was eager to run off with a Louis Vouitton backpack filled with more luxurious items inside, sprinted off without hesitation. It seems like Jisung is slightly blaming Chenle for the consequence of being robbed - but, he’s only speaking the truth.
As Jisung tried to web the bag back, he became distracted by the distraught Chenle who attempted to run after the man. Now , typically Jisung doesn’t pick civilians up to experience the chase with him. But, all he remembers was swinging down to Chenle and being engulfed in his panic. Which led to Jisung scooping him up and bringing him along. Besides, he couldn’t leave Chenle there to wait in uncertainty (even though he was for sure going to retrieve his bag).
“Hey Mr. Spider-man, please let me down! I’m literally going to vomit.” Chenle yells, he tucks his face back into Jisung’s shoulder and clings harder onto him. “This sounds really stuck up but I can buy a new bag, laptop and whatever is in there! I really don’t want to die trying to fight for something that’s replaceable!”
Jisung is too busy keeping his eyes on the man who is still running through the streets of Seoul for his success to pull through. But, Jisung doesn’t believe in giving up, especially if it was for Chenle. “Don’t worry, I’m going to get your stuff back for you. Also, not everyday you get to swing with Spider-man!”
“That’s the thing, you have fucking super powers! I’m just a college student who wants to go ho-HELP!” Chenle screams, as he begins to feel his stomach drop as their height begins to change from Spider-man’s shift in swinging. As he opens his eyes, they’re now running on the ground and Spider-man is carrying him princess style through the city.
For a second, Jisung gains the opportunity to place Chenle in a safe place and shoots a web to a building on the opposite side of them. He continues flying with his webs until he is above the man. Once he is in the middle of the air, he extends his right arm and fires a blanket web that traps the robber under a net. Jisung returns to the ground, successfully bringing him down without too much trouble. “It’s not nice to steal from college students. You know how much debt we go into!”
Before he continues his lecture, he catches the faint noise of footsteps coming their way. He grabs Chenle’s bag, which is unluckily covered in spiderwebs and is about to run off back to his direction. But, as he turns around to begin his swing, Chenle is already there to retrieve his things. Jisung holds it by its straps with both hands, gently offering it to Chenle. “I know it’s a little messy, I apologize for that but I told you I’d get it back for you.”
Chenle laughs, “Thank you, sorry for yelling at you earlier. But, I’ll take the webs as a souvenir from Spider-man.”
“Maybe, gift! Like, you know…a gift? From me…” Jisung tries to offer another perspective, slightly similar but also slightly different. He watches as Chenle purses his lips to think and shortly he receives a nod from the older boy.
“Sure, a sticky and memorable gift from Spider-man.”
Jisung doesn’t know how obvious he’s being with his expressions. Chenle watches as his mask’s eyes gleamed with excitement and he notices his fingers rubbing against each other’s tips - assuming he makes Spider-man a bit nervous for some reason. “College student you said?”
“Huh?” Jisung responds, leaning in and blinking with confusion.
“You said ‘we’, when you referred to college students. I didn’t know Spider-man went to school. Because, you know, you’re a hero .”
“Oh, I just- no . Spider-man, I don't go to school. I just swing all day and have never entered a classroom.”
Another laugh escapes from Chenle and Jisung feels like he’s scored. Well, in this case, Spider-man scored. “You’re funny,” He swings his backpack onto his shoulder and gives Jisung a warm smile, “thank you for returning my bag to me, Spider-man .”
With that, Chenle is off walking home. This time without stopping to distract himself with his phone and Jisung feels like he’s made progress with his campus crush who has no clue it’s him. In the grand scheme, he was unsure if Chenle even knew who he was.
As the police finally arrive, Jisung swings back home and bathes in the memories of his interaction with Chenle through Spider-man. If only he can channel the Spider-man confidence in his counterpart, Park Jisung - he would be more willing in thinking that he had a chance with Chenle.
—
“Dude, that’s awesome. You literally saved Chenle from spending thousands of dollars on new school items.” Jaemin whispers to Jisung, nudging the taller boy’s shoulder and giving him a grin. “I’m proud of you, that was a boss move.”
“Don’t use the phrase, ‘boss move’, it sounds so outdated.” Jisung groans, cutting Jaemin’s path off to open his locker. “Even though I did help him, that’s what Spider-man does. He helps people. It’s not romantic.”
“Yeah, but you got to hold your crush. That’s crazy.”
“Jaemin, I’ve held many people. Chenle felt really nice to hold. But, at the end of the day, from his perspective I don’t mean much.”
I got to swing with Spider-man yesterday, tell me why he’s like, really nicely built. A voice comes from the other end of the hall that catches Jisung’s attention. The voice creeps closer and as his curiosity spikes, he’s able to place a face on it once he crosses paths with him. “Yeah, I clinged onto him and he smelled great. Is that weird?” Chenle questions his friend Renjun, who shakes his head as a response. “Cool, I guess it’s not weird to think Spider-man is hot then.”
“Do you think he’s hot because he actually is? Or , do you think he’s hot because you got your ass saved from being robbed yesterday?” Renjun responds with a question and it sends Jisung into a slight panic.
Because what if Chenle was blinded by his heroic actions?
“No, I genuinely believe Spider-man is a good looking person under that mask. He also is really funny, cute and funny .” Chenle’s final compliments sink into Jisung’s heart and it makes his face turn beet red. As their intersection comes to an end, Chenle catches Jisung in the corner of his eye, the blue-haired boy is slightly tapping his face behind his locker and he can only curl his lips. “Yeah, he definitely is cute.”
Jisung doesn’t know if he should thank his inhumane hearing for being able to catch Chenle’s conversation with Renjun. Cute and funny? Also, hot . Jisung can only take a deep breath in and run his hands through his blue hair multiple times before responding to Jaemin who has been calling his name for the last two minutes. “Dude, did I hear Chenle call Spider-man hot?”
Jisung responds with a sharp nod, “I think I’m going to pee myself.”
“Please don’t.”
—
It’s a bit difficult being Spider-man. Jisung is constantly in a battle of prioritizing the life of being Seoul’s hero and a physics major at SNU. He can’t cost his education as he is currently riding off of scholarships, nor can he cost dropping out as that means he has no reason to see Chenle. But, whenever trouble calls, he can’t help but feel obligated to seek a solution to society’s issues.
The first time he met Chenle was in a prerequisite class for his major. He balanced through the boredom and fascination of the theory based lecture that lasted for three hours, finding fun in designing web fluid and suit prototypes as a way to keep himself occupied on slow days. Other times, he’d admire Zhong Chenle, the alleged chancellor’s son who was also majoring in physics.
Chenle was sweet and intelligent. Although he was directly associated with power he was always humble about his identity. Once, Chenle had sat next to Jisung due to being late to class and with seats filling up - he was limited with options. Jisung, busy with curating new ways to enhance his suit, was surprised to find his crush’s face so close to him. “Hope you don’t mind that I’m here.”
Jisung, physically in shock, covered his sketchbook and fumbled around with the different materials on his desk. Attempting to not make a fool out of himself. In seconds, he leans against his chair and shakes his head coolly, “No, no. Totally don’t mind.”
It was the first time he heard Chenle giggle, “Cool. I’m Chenle.”
“Park Jisung.” He introduces.
“I know.” Chenle replies nonchalantly, which makes Jisung’s heart skip several beats.
—
University life is hellish. Jaemin and Jisung occupy a table in a café near their campus as a way to get their studies and conversations in. But, of course, Jaemin believes it’s incomplete if Chenle is not one of the main topics.
“I don’t want to sound delulu, but , I think Chenle has a crush on you . Not Spider-man. But, you , Park Jisung.” Jaemin’s theory made Jisung choke on his iced coffee. “What! Dude, please, hear me out.”
Jisung only shakes his head, grabbing a napkin from the nearby dispenser to cover his mouth as he coughs. With a strained voice, he replies, “You’re crazy.”
“I’m not crazy .” Jaemin speaks with not only his mouth, but with his hands as they express urgency for Jisung to listen. “It’s not like Chenle doesn't know who you are. Besides, the first time you introduced yourselves to each other he already knew your name. I’d say, he’s obsessed with you.”
“We did personal introductions, Jaemin .”
“How did he remember all fifty students' names?”
“Cause he’s perfect?” Jisung responds, which only makes Jaemin roll his eyes. “Look, I appreciate your support in hyping me up. But, Chenle doesn’t like me. He barely knows me.”
“Okay, but why is he staring you down with Renjun right now?”
Jisung’s face squishes together from confusion. He has no clue as to what Jaemin is talking about and he notices the subtle pointing of Jaemin’s finger that directly leads behind him. Jisung waits a couple of seconds before turning around, as he attempts to act natural, he unexpectedly finds Chenle looking in his way. Only to quickly turn around once he notices Jisung exchanged a glance. When Jisung turns around, his jaw is dropped. “Holy, I think Zhong Chenle was staring at my head. Wait, what if he was staring at you? You’re facing him.”
Jaemin immediately starts shaking his head. “No, he was totally looking at you. Like, staring at your shoulders and shit. I’m not kidding, I swear Sungie.”
Jisung takes a sip out of his coffee to cool himself down and starts readjusting himself in his seat. “Should I go talk to him? What should I do?”
“From what I’m seeing, I think he’s debating whether he should go up to you. He’s discussing it with Renjun and it seems to be a really important debate. I can just smell the crush behavior from here.” Jaemin’s eyes squint into crescents and his lips curl from the escalating excitement within him. “Sungie, he’s coming over. Please act natural.”
Jisung blinks once and suddenly he’s still. Jaemin, who quickly notices Jisung holding his breath, moves both of his hands in an up and down motion to guide his breathing.
“Hey, Jisung, right?”
Holy shit he actually came to talk to me.
He slowly turns around, trying to conceal his excitement for Chenle. “Oh, hey. Chenle, right?” He responds, giving him a light smile.
“Yeah, I noticed you from the register. We’re in the department of physics and astronomy together right?” Chenle questions, he’s smart and obviously knows the answer. But, it makes Jisung’s heart full knowing that he’s initiating conversation.
“I am, I believe we’ve been seat partners before. You’re like, really smart.” The automatic compliment spills without hesitation and Jisung swears he made Chenle blush because of his words as he notices the slowly forming red on his cheeks.
“Thank you, you’re so sweet.”
“And you’re so cute.” Jisung’s sudden response makes his eyes wide. What the fuck . Is what screams through his head, did he really just say that to Chenle? He is a practical stranger and he called him cute during their second (well third counting Spider-man) interaction. “I-I am so sorry I-”
“You think I’m cute?” As Chenle bats his eyes, turning his head to the side out of curiosity.
Jisung’s mouth is slightly open, unsure of what to say as he can’t deny his words but confirm them as it would be embarrassing to say in front of Chenle. Not to mention, Renjun and Jaemin were casually listening to their conversation. Before he can respond, Chenle uses his pointer finger and gently closes Jisung’s mouth. “You’re cuter.” He shortly compliments, giving him a wide smile, the same he gave to Spider-man after saving his ass from being robbed.
This time, Jisung didn’t need to do anything to receive it. He simply got it because Chenle wanted to smile at him. “Nice seeing you, I think our order is ready.”
Jisung is left speechless once Chenle and Renjun head off to retrieve their order from the counter. He blinks once, then after a while twice as he turns himself to look at Jaemin.
“Dude,” Jaemin starts off, “he wants you.”
Now, Jisung considers it a possibility.
—
“You never told me you had a thing for Park Jisung.” Renjun whines before poking his straw into his drink, he bumps Chenle’s shoulder as revenge for keeping it a secret. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
Chenle shrugs. “I just, really like his character. He’s smart, quiet and really attractive. He’s basically an underrated smart hottie. He’s quiet and from what I’ve seen he’s a good guy. Always sweet no matter what. Also, there are other reasons too.”
“Oh, so you’re basically gate-keeping him because you’re scared people might steal him? Wow, you thought I would steal him?”
“Junnie, you would never go so low.” Chenle reassures, which makes Renjun smile. “I really want to talk to him more, but I don’t want to scare him off.”
“How would you scare him off?”
Chenle winks, bringing his pointer finger to his lips. “Big secret.”
—
Spoiler alert: Chenle knows about Park Jisung’s identity of being Seoul’s friendly neighborhood Spider-man. How does he know? Well , there’s many factors that point to him.
First, Jisung has a tendency of running out of class whenever danger sets off. Sudden news of a flying goblin villain on the other side of town? Jisung is gone. A man made of sand is clogging the sewers and running through the streets terrorizing civilians? Jisung leaves without any explanation.
Second, Chenle can’t say that he didn’t see the drawings that Jisung attempted to hide from him. He saw enough to piece that Jisung was not necessarily a fan of Spider-man, but the hero himself. Because why would there be so many details regarding every layer and purpose of Spider-man’s suit?
Thirdly, the day he got robbed, Jisung was not shy to hide his voice from Chenle. His awkward tendencies in his body language were fairly similar to the Park Jisung and he is quite sure of his suspicions. Not only does he sound like Jisung, but his terrible cover of “not” being a college student only reinforces that he is. It’s only a matter of time that Chenle confesses that he knows about his identity. But, he does not want to come off as only interested in Jisung because of his gifted powers as he has another secret himself.
Not really a spoiler: Chenle likes Jisung.
He doesn’t understand why anyone wouldn’t. The first class he had with Jisung was when he had become drawn by his passion for physics. Sure, some days he was heavily distracted (which he assumed were caused by his Spider-man duties). But, he was naturally great at the subject because of how much he enjoyed it. He always noticed Jisung acing every question shot to him but was always down-to-earth when it came to his knowledge.
Chenle can’t lie, he’s been watching Jisung and curating the right moment to intersect their lives. Jisung, a genuine sweetheart who keeps to himself may find himself unnoticeable to many. But Chenle, who has been silently adoring him from afar is getting eager to express his feelings for Jisung.
—
Days pass by and Jisung is still thinking about his interaction with Chenle. He was still hooked onto how his crush willingly walked over to him and sparked up a conversation. He wondered what Chenle’s intentions were, weighing out the possibilities if Chenle only wanted to be friendly as a fellow student in the physics department or if Chenle had other flirtatious plans. Jisung can’t bring himself to accept the second one as it seems out of reality, but Jaemin reassures him that the possibility of Chenle liking him was high.
They sit in the cafeteria, occupying a table where they position themselves on the end across from another to make room for others to sit. Jaemin is in the middle of chewing his rice as he speaks. “Chenle doesn’t go up to people, people go up to Chenle.” Another point that Jaemin feeds to Jisung, who has been forced to listen.
“Okay, so?”
“Basically, Chenle wants something from you. Maybe, with you. This only adds to my other seven points confirming that he has a crush on you.”
Jisung shakes his head, not wanting to give into the delusions. “You can’t conclude that he likes me because he came up to talk to me yesterday.”
“I know it’s a small interaction but it makes sense!”
The blue-haired boy can’t deal with his friend’s assumptions any longer. Luckily, he has a reason to stop listening as he notices from across the cafeteria he spots Chenle holding his tray of food. His friend Renjun, notably, has a frustrated expression on his face and he finds that there is a third party hogging their personal space. Jisung watched as Chenle gripped his tray harder, visibly upset that he’s stuck in a predicament. “Fucking Flash.” Jisung mutters, removing himself from the table to aid the boys.
“Flash, I’ve rejected you multiple times. I don’t like you.” Chenle grits his teeth as he speaks, Flash, also known as Liu Yangyang can only laugh as his irritation.
“But the last time you told me to ask again.” He says, rocking himself back and forth with his hands in his jacket’s pocket. “Don’t you remember?”
“As a threat .” Chenle emphasizes, “I don’t like you. That’s all I have to say.” When Chenle tries to walk away, Yangyang tugs onto his backpack which almost makes Chenle spill his food onto himself. “What the hell?”
“Chenle, come on. You got a stick up your ass or something?”
Before Chenle can respond, he feels the subtle weight disappear. Chenle turned around, from behind Jisung had pushed Flash, ultimately making him let go. “He’s not interested, let it go Flash.” Jisung says. He knows getting involved with Yangyang is never a good move. Especially knowing that for the last couple years they’ve had tension.
“Well, look who it is. Parker .”
“It’s Park.” Jisung corrects, which only makes Yangyang scoff.
“Yeah, whatever. If you didn’t notice, this was a conversation between Chenle and I.”
“He doesn’t want to talk to you.”
Yangyang lifts an eyebrow, “Did he tell you that? Do you want to fight Parker?”
Jisung can only sigh, he turns away from Yangyang to send a couple words from Chenle. “Walk away.” But, with his attention not on Yangyang, it only aggravates the boy.
From the corner of Jisung’s eye, he sees a fist coming in his direction and his immediate reaction is to dodge. But, unluckily, with Yangyang’s unstable balance - he ends up bumping into Chenle who drops his tray of food and himself who bangs his shoulder onto the nearest table before hitting the floor. Yangyang, who’s able to stabilize himself, does not care to ask about Chenle’s condition.
“That’s what you get for-” Yangyang is cut off once he receives a hit from the side of his face from Jisung. Unluckily for him, Jisung was not courteous with using some of his strength. As he hits the floor and slowly sees stars, Chenle is picked up by Jisung once campus security starts entering the premises. Running off to not get caught, Jisung passes by Jaemin who sends him two firm thumbs up and a yelling Renjun who watched his friend get kidnapped.
Jisung’s speedy self can feel a sense of guilt enter his body after the uncalled move. But, he can’t help but feel pleased for sticking up for Chenle who was obviously uncomfortable by Yangyang’s appearance. He looks down to Chenle who is gripping his shoulder, his clothes slightly dirtied from his food splattering on the floor and a distressed expression. “Thank you…” Chenle whispers, which Jisung catches.
“No problem…” He replies, still carrying him princess style through the hallways of SNU. It’s only a couple of seconds into their getaway and Chenle changes positions.
As he builds the strength to sling his arms around Jisung’s neck. It almost sends Jisung over the edge with how cute Chenle was. But, it also makes him feel special as Chenle shows a bit of vulnerability. He can feel Chenle’s breath on his neck and all he can do is hold him close. With his heart beating maniacally and his cheeks burning hotter than the sun. He can only cherish this moment as the last time he held Chenle was when he was Spider-man.
But, today, he held his crush as Park Jisung - which was an incredible feeling.
—
Chenle and Jisung arrive in Jisung’s apartment quite fast. Chenle was placed onto the couch and Jisung threw himself next to him to catch his breath for a moment. Chenle looks over to Jisung in admiration for his hard work. “I could have ran with you.”
Jisung shakes his head, against the idea. “No, not with your shoulder.”
“It’s my shoulder, not my leg.”
“Still, you’re hurt.” He firmly replies, which makes Chenle back down from the conversation. As Jisung loudly huffs, he slowly turns to Chenle who is shamelessly eyeing him up and down.
Jisung was unsure if it was because he looked incredibly disgusting after carrying Chenle for three blocks from school. Or, if Chenle had other thoughts in mind. Once Jisung made eye contact with Chenle, the older boy immediately turned away and his body shifted from the awkwardness of being caught. Cute - was all Jisung could think.
On the other hand, Chenle found it incredibly hot that Jisung was panting and covered in sweat. He can’t believe he abandoned his own manners and disrespectfully looked Jisung up and down like that. Was he… ogling him?
“You can look.” Jisung laughs with his words, “I don’t mind.”
God . Chenle shuts his eyes and almost faints by how attractive he sounds. “I-I was just examining your physical state.”
“Thank you for looking out for me.”
“No problem…”
When silence overtakes, Chenle can’t bear to sit in it. He turns to face Jisung, finding it to be the perfect time to reveal what he knows and how he feels. Chenle takes a deep breath before he speaks. “I want to tell you something and I hope it doesn’t freak you out.”
Jisung’s slumped self on the couch can only feel the panic seep into him. His body springs up and suddenly his posture is perfect. He puts his hands up and starts waving them erratically. “Look, I can explain I just-” He knows that I like him? Was it obvious back there with Flash? He definitely knows.
“I hope it’s okay that I know.” Chenle quietly says, but it only makes Jisung gulp.
“Look Chenle,” It takes all the strength in Jisung’s body to calm down. “I, I wanted to tell you when it was the right time. It’s just, so hard when we barely know each other and I didn’t want to scare you off.”
“It’s okay, I’m flattered that you saw me as a safe person to reveal that you’re Spider-man.”
Jisung’s smile instantly fades. He shoots up from his seat on the couch, standing in front of Chenle with wide eyes and an open mouth. He points at him, covers his mouth and runs both hands to grip his hair in this exact order before responding to Chenle whose words are being flushed out by his intense reaction. “What! What are you talking about? I’m not Spider-man, that is so silly of you to think Chenle. I thought you knew I had a crush on you?”
Chenle is taken aback. He moves only his head forward and furrows his brows. “What, you like me?” The older boy was shocked to hear his romantic confession, only because he was waiting for the moment to express his.
“Yeah, since forever. But, I’m not Spider-man, I have no clue what you’re talking about.”
“I’m not stupid Jisung. I notice when you leave class whenever something bad pops up in Seoul and the drawings of your suit prototypes. Also, Spider-man slipping about how “we” college students go into debt is literally personal word choice.”
“I don’t have debt, I’m surviving with scholarships.”
Chenle smiles, “Good for you. I’m glad you can be a debtless Spider-man.”
“Well, I don't really know. I think the government is definitely on me for destroying a couple buildings back with my fight with the goblin dude- oh my god! ” Jisung immediately covers his mouth, only to receive a point from Chenle who finds his suspicions confirmed. “I didn’t say that.”
“I heard you say it.” Chenle firmly says, “I also heard you confess that you have a crush on me.”
Jisung flops back onto the couch and groans. “Whatever, both secrets are out of the bag. I can’t say I don’t like you when I really do.”
Chenle scoots himself closer to Jisung, “What if I told you I returned the feelings.”
Jisung raises a brow to him, “Really? You liking me ? I doubt it, I bet you developed feelings for me once you pieced together that I am Spider-man.”
The older boy shakes his head, “I’ve always noticed you before realizing you were Spider-man. I like Park Jisung, it just so happens he is also Spider-man.”
“You’re lying, I’m not good enough for you. Spider-man is cool, I’m not.”
“You are so cool. You’re one of the smartest people I know, you instantly protected me from Flash and you’re such a passionate guy. I really admire you Jisung, the last thing I wanted was to scare you off or make you doubt yourself because I know. But, I also know that my feelings are for Park Jisung.”
There’s no reason to not believe Chenle, but as he notices the older boy’s eyes soften towards him while he speaks. It was a new expression that he’s never seen and instantly he finds himself folding as he’s been captivated by the tenderness in Chenle’s eyes, “Please tell me that I’m the only one who’s seen this look on your face.” Jisung’s hands move without a thought, cupping Chenle’s right cheek.
“You are.” Chenle whispers, “It’s only for you.”
“Don’t say that.” Jisung’s lips curl, his eyes filled with greed as he wanted to kiss Chenle. “I’ve been going crazy for you, you can’t tell me you return the feelings.”
“I just did.” Chenle brushes his thumb over Jisung’s lips, “So? Do you want me or does knowing your hero identity turn you off?”
“If you can keep your lips closed, you’re all mine.” The tension simmers once their lips meet, Jisung’s hand wraps behind Chenle's neck as he pulls him close but he is careful of his shoulder.
Chenle’s lips are soft, the bliss of being so close to his crush swims through his veins and he fears that his longing will take over. But, Chenle returns the greediness, keeping Jisung close to him and refuses for him to pull back from their kisses. When Jisung takes a second to gasp for air, Chenle dives back into action and slowly they’ve merged to where Chenle sits in Jisung’s lap while they make out.
It takes a great amount of energy for Chenle to remove his lips from Jisung. “You don’t know how long I’ve wanted you.”
Jisung presses his forehead onto Chenle’s, slipping a hand under the boy’s shirt. “Show me then.”
—
It’s the next day and Jisung is holding Chenle’s hand in the hallways. After their short miscommunication of confessions to heated make-out sessions and other r-rated activities. They decided to confirm their relationship and begin dating as Chenle promised to keep his mouth shut about his hero identity. Jisung ultimately didn’t mind as he trusted Chenle wouldn’t tell.
“Jisung!” A familiar voice shouts from the end of the hall. It’s Jaemin running and squeezing past the pack of students. Once Jaemin stops in front of the couple, he smiles widely. “Y-You’re holding hands with Chenle.” He excitedly whispers, ignoring the fact that the boy was there with them.
Jisung scratches the back of his head, “Yeah…long story. We’re dating now.”
Jaemin snaps a finger at Chenle, “I knew you liked him.”
The comment only makes Chenle laugh, “Yep, caught red handed.”
“Congrats on the new couple, let’s get-” With a loud crash from outside interrupting Jaemin’s sentence. The students from inside instantly notice the fire escalating from the other side of town. “I think you should go.”
Jisung doesn’t think twice. Before running off, he kisses Chenle, “I’ll be back soon.”
“Be careful.” His boyfriend responds.
After he nods to Jaemin, he runs off to check out the brewing danger. Jaemin was one of the few people who knew about his identity. But, as the boy rewinded the short words exchanged between Chenle and Jisung, his eyebrows furrow and he turns his head. “Do you?”
Chenle nods proudly, “I know. I won’t tell anyone though, Jisung is mine.”
Jaemin only wishes that Jisung could hear this. To be referred to as his real name when an individual knew his heroic counterpart only made him feel reassured that Chenle was the right person for him.
