“So, what made you wanna come along with me?” Pepper asked Bomb, who walked hesitantly behind her in the crowded mall. “I-I-I just want t-to get new c-c-clothes, th-that’s all.” She stuttered.
“Well it’s a good thing you came to me! I’m sure that I can find you something stylish!” the taller girl reassured. Bomb looked around the mall to see if there were any good stores to shop. Almost everything looked basic to her. Nothing had fit the style that she wanted for herself. And to add onto the fear, she hadn’t talked to Pepper about her identity yet.
Her and Pepper had been friends for a while, whenever Salt was off gushing over OJ for the 9,000th time despite him being gay. They would talk for hours and hours, but Bomb felt as if she couldn’t tell her everything.
The two walked and walked through the loud crowds of people, when Pepper stopped in her tracks. “Oh. Em. GEE!!! Bomb, look!!” She pulled Bomb’s arm closer and pointed with her other arm at the new store, ‘Illuminate’. “I’ve heard about this store coming out since 4 years ago! I can’t believe it’s finally here!!!” Pepper jumped up and down in excitement and looked at Bomb. “We should like, totally go in, dont’cha think??”
Bomb stared at the store, and her face lit up happily. From the looks of it, the store seems like it’ll have some good clothes there, maybe even a dress for her to wear! She looked back up and Pepper and nodded. “L-L-Let’s do it! I-I wanna s-s-see wh-what they got.”
The taller girl smiled brightly as they both headed into the shop. As they walked through the isles of clothes, they looked at all of the vibrant pastel shirts, pants, and exclusive accessories. Pepper looked at the shorter girl with a determined look. “Bomby, I have a plan!” she exclaimed, catching Bomb’s attention and confusion.
“I’m gonna go pick out what I want, and you do the same. Then, we’ll meet at one of the dressing rooms and show off our stuff! Okie dokie?” Pepper questioned determinedly, as if there were a blazing fire in her eyes that Bomb admired. She backed in tiny steps, yet smiled back at her happily. “A-Alright then! B-But d-don’t judge the s-s-stuff I ch-choose, okay?”
“Deal!! Now let’s go on a shopping spree!!”
The two of them go their separate ways into the store, with Bomb going through the left section. She checks out the cute skirts and dresses posed onto the mannequins, staring at them in awe. She was enamored in the beautiful style, and imagined herself in those clothes. That’s what she wanted to wear. She wanted to wear cute clothes, embrace herself as a girl. She looked down at the racks of clothes and took the ones she wanted, some red, some pink, even some orange. It was one of her favorite colors after all.
After a few minutes later, she felt a buzz from her pocket and rested the clothes on her shoulder, using her other arm to take out her phone and check the message.
Pepz: Bomby!! Whenever u finish im ar fitting room 2!
Pepz sent a message
The picture was of the sign that only said #2.
Pepz: see u here!!
Me: gotcha, see u there ☆
She puts her phone back in her pocket and walked her way excitedly to fitting room 2. Scooching through the crowd of people going in and out of the rooms, she notices that the doors are numbered backwards, going from 8 to 1. As she walks further down the hall, she spots Pepper waiting by the door.
Pepper looks up and smiles. “Hey Bomb!! That’s a lotta stuff you got!”
“Y-Yeah, hehe.”
“Well, I want you to try em first!! I wanna see how good you’ll look in them!” Pepper insisted, excited to see her friend in new clothes. Bomb smiled hesitantly and nodded, proceeding to go into the fitting room with her clothes.
Bomb had second thoughts about it, looking at all the cute clothes. She stared, and stared at the clothes, taking a deep breath and calming down. A few minutes pass from inside of the fitting room, and the door opens. Pepper looks up from her phone and sees Bomb, in a cute pink dress along with a pink scrunchie in his hair. Pepper’s eyes widened at the sight, looking in awe of what she was witnessing.
Noticing the way that Pepper was looking at her, Bomb looked away and asked, “D-D-Do you not l-l-l-like it…?”
A silence filled the air, until Pepper got up and hugged her.
“YOU LOOK SO PRETTY!!!!” She exclaimed happily, jumping up and down at how stunning Bomb looked. Bomb was stunned from the reaction, almost thinking it wasn’t going to be good, then smiled and hugged Pepper back.
“I-I-I’m g-glad!! I-I thought i-it was cute a-a-and w-wanted to g-get i-it! I-I-I feel m-m-more c-comfortable being f-f-femini-nine! I-Is th-that good…?” Bomb asked hesitantly.
Pepper looked her in the eyes with happiness and excitement. “Of course!!! I love you regardless, you goof!” Her response made Bomb smile, since she hadn’t felt this happy in so long.
This was truly an amazing day!
