[Tensions are currently high in the Gotoh-Kita household. They had an argument over a double date that didn’t end so well, and their day couldn’t be any more tense]
Kita: I never knew Hitori-chan was this stubborn! Why can’t she just apologize? She really made a fool out of herself.
Hitori: Damn. Kita-chan is pissed at me. Congratulations Botcchi, you won girlfriend of the year. Cant even handle a damn double date. How the hell do I talk to her now?
Kita: Well, I can’t leave her starving. I’ll make her some chicken briskets, she likes those quite a bit. Hitori: Oh yeah, she hasn’t washed her clothes all day, might make it up to her by doing them.
[Hitori and Kita go do each other’s chores. The environment starts to lose that awkward atmosphere as they reflect on what happened]
Kita: Why did I get so mad in the first place? Hitori-chan didn’t even know these people in the first place. Of course she’d act up like that!
Hitori: Even if I wasn’t into the double date idea, I should’ve kept things till later! I shouldn’t have had that outburst!
Kita: I just need to be more careful from here on out, no biggie! Everyone has things they love and hate, and I should’ve respected that more!
Hitori: Kita-chan has lots of friends! Of course we’d eventually end up doing something like this! Why would I get mad at that?
Both: I need to apologize to her
[There was no better time to make up than now. They couldn’t even fathom the possibility of letting this tension continuing]
Kita: “Hitori-chan! Dinner’s ready!”
(Hitori awkwardly waddles to the kitchen and feels relieved yet puzzled when she saw that Kita seemed happy to see her)
Kita: “Hey! I made you some chicken briskets! I noticed that it’s been a while since you-“
Hitori: “I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t h-have acted that way. Especially to y-your friends”
(Kita gives Hitori a hug to affirm her forgiveness)
Kita: “I forgive you. They were asking such intrusive actions, and that obviously would’ve made you upset. And I’m sorry for not understanding that then”
Hitori: “It’s okay, Kita-chan! And I should’ve been m-more patient. I was m-making an ass out of myself before we met up with t-them, and that wasn’t okay”
Kita: “Well it doesn’t matter now. I love you, Hitori-chan! And I’ll make sure these people actually learn how to respect your boundaries so this won’t happen again!”
Hitori: “And I’ll r-respect your plans, despite whatever outcome, b-because I really appreciate y-your effort to spend time with me.”
(Hitori’s eats a piece of the brisket and lights up)
Hitori: “Just like h-how I appreciate your excellent cooking, hehe”
Kita: “Thank you. And I’m so glad you do, thanks for always reaffirming me, haha!”
(Hitori pulls a chair from the table for kita)
Hitori: “C-come on, eat with me! You can’t starve either!”
[Kita and Hitori eat their dinner together and the tension tainting their surroundings vanished. The power couple continue to cherish their time together.]
