Work Text:

Sakura was a girl who enjoyed bullying others. She was arrogant, rude, and mean. She thought she was better than everyone else, and looked down on those who were weaker or smarter than her. She especially hated Kakashi, the class genius who was an introvert but an all rounder. He was good at everything - academics, sports, arts, and even music. He was also kind, humble, and respectful. Sakura couldn't stand him, and always tried to trouble him.

She would mock his appearance, call him names, spread rumors about him, steal his books, and even throw things at him. She wanted to make him feel miserable and break his spirit. She thought he was a nerd who had no friends and no life.

Kakashi, on the other hand, ignored Sakura's bullying. He didn't care what she said or did to him. He knew she was insecure and unhappy, and that she was projecting her own issues onto him. He felt sorry for her, but he also wished she would leave him alone. He had his own problems to deal with - his parents were divorced, his father was an alcoholic, and his mother was sick. He worked hard to support his family and pursue his dreams.

One day, Sakura went too far. She found out that Kakashi had a crush on a girl named Rin, who was also in their class. Rin was sweet, smart, and beautiful. She liked Kakashi too, but she was shy and didn't know how to express her feelings. Sakura decided to ruin their chances of getting together.

She wrote a fake love letter from Rin to Kakashi, and put it in his locker. She also wrote a fake note from Kakashi to Rin, and put it in her bag. She hoped that they would read the notes and get confused and hurt.

However, her plan backfired. Rin and Kakashi were smarter than she thought. They realized that the notes were fake, and that someone was trying to sabotage their relationship. They compared the notes and found out that they were written by the same person - Sakura.

They confronted Sakura in front of the whole class, and exposed her as a liar and a bully. They also confessed their feelings for each other, and kissed in front of everyone. The class cheered for them, and booed at Sakura.

Sakura felt humiliated and furious. She ran out of the classroom, crying and cursing. She swore revenge on Rin and Kakashi.

She gathered a bunch of girls who were also jealous of Rin and Kakashi's relationship. They planned to ambush Rin after school and beat her up.

They waited for Rin near the school gate, hiding behind some bushes. They saw Rin walking alone, holding a bouquet of flowers that Kakashi had given her.

They jumped out of their hiding place and surrounded Rin. They started to push her, pull her hair, slap her face, and kick her stomach.

Rin tried to fight back, but she was outnumbered and overpowered. She screamed for help, but no one heard her.

Sakura watched with satisfaction as Rin suffered. She felt a twisted sense of pleasure in seeing her rival in pain.

She grabbed the bouquet of flowers from Rin's hand, and threw it on the ground. She stomped on it with her foot, crushing the petals.

She said to Rin, "How does it feel to lose everything you love? How does it feel to be alone and helpless? How does it feel to be like me?"

Rin looked at Sakura with pity and sadness. She said to her, "You don't have to be like this. You can change your life for the better. You can be happy if you want to."

Sakura scoffed at Rin's words. She said to her, "Shut up! You don't know anything about me! You don't know what I've been through! You don't know how hard it is to be me!"

She raised her hand to punch Rin in the face.

But before she could do that, someone grabbed her arm from behind.

It was Kakashi.

He had seen everything from a distance. He had followed Sakura after she ran out of the classroom. He had suspected that she was up to something bad.

He arrived just in time to save Rin from Sakura's attack.

He pulled Sakura away from Rin, and pushed her to the ground.

He said to Sakura, "Stop it! What are you doing? Why are you doing this?"

Sakura looked at Kakashi with hatred and fear. She said to him, "What are you doing here? How did you find me? Why do you care?"

Kakashi looked at Sakura with disappointment and anger. He said to her, "I'm here because I care about Rin. I found you because I followed you. I care because you're my classmate."

He continued, "But you're also a bully. You've been bullying me and others for a long time. You've been hurting people who don't deserve it. You've been making yourself and everyone else miserable."

He asked her, "Why? Why are you like this? What made you this way?"

Sakura was silent. She didn't have an answer.

Kakashi said to her, "You know, Sakura, you're not a bad person. You're just a lost person. You're a person who needs help. You're a person who needs love."

He said to her, "You don't have to be a bully. You don't have to be unhappy. You don't have to be alone."

He said to her, "You can be a better person. You can be a happier person. You can be a friend."

He offered his hand to her, and said to her, "Come on, Sakura. Let me help you. Let me be your friend."

Sakura looked at Kakashi's hand, and then at his face.

She saw kindness and compassion in his eyes.

She felt something she had never felt before.

She felt hope.

She took his hand, and said to him, "Okay, Kakashi. Thank you."

Kakashi smiled at her, and helped her up.

He said to her, "You're welcome, Sakura."

He turned to Rin, who was still lying on the ground.

He said to her, "Rin, are you okay?"

Rin nodded at him, and smiled at him.

She said to him, "I'm okay, Kakashi. Thanks to you."

Kakashi hugged her, and kissed her forehead.

He said to her, "I love you, Rin."

Rin said to him, "I love you too, Kakashi."

They looked at each other with love and happiness.

They looked at Sakura with forgiveness and friendship.

They looked at the other girls with pity and understanding.

They looked at the world with hope and courage.

They had overcome the bullying.

They had found each other.

They had found themselves.

Notes:

I always think that naruto got his inspiration for the talk no jutsu from his mentors. 🤔

I picture Kakashi as a person who doesn't hold a grudge. Like the time with Zabuza 😎
