Chapter Text

Juno sat alone in his huge house. He turned to the clock to check the time and groaned. 'Stupid fucking time.. Time. Hmm' Juno thought. His face turned red, but shook his head, remembering what Time was like last time they met. But he kind of missed him? No. I mean, he did think Time's medium-length-curly-fadded blue hair was pretty. His sense of fashion was something he could never think of. His tall structure and long, extending, robotic like hands. All this yet he never saw his face. Well, eyes, he could still see his mouth but that's.. whatever. Juno was frustrated by these feelings. No. He was better than this. He's better than time as a concept and Time as a being. He, in is eyes, is the ruler of everything, right?

Above the sun and universe itself, there Time sat looking down and helping move to the next second. Noticing what Juno is thinking, him trying to make himself feel better for his feelings for Time, he decided to pay him a visit.

Juno looked away from the clock and turned to the other side of the couch. "Hey." Time smirks. Juno jumps and blushes, "Time! Gosh... what do you want?" "Nothing." Time smiles. You can practically see the lightbulb over his head when he hatches his idea. "I'm just sooooooo bored. It's so hard, managing all of time." He groans, falling onto Juno's lap. "Well, go back to that." Juno groaned. "No." Time smirks. "You're literally a God. Why are you so fucking soft?" Juno remarks. "I can still have a personality." Time responds. "Bseides, I know you like this moment, Red Face." Time giggles. Juno gets redder. "I don't need you, dipshit... I have a wife." He remarks. "We both know she doesn't want to be with you anymore." Time says, empathetically. He seems genuinely apologetic for Juno. "Oh. So you're just here to ruin my life like last time? Or rub your life ruining success in my face?" Juno asks. Dispite being fond for Time, he does loathe the first time they met. After they met his wife divorced him— they're still living together— and he got a demotion. He was lucky enough too keep his house. "Now, what do you say we do, huh?" Time asks with a smile, getting atop Juno. Juno blushes. "Wow I- uh.. I'm flattered but I'm-" Juno starts. "I know all about you. Past present and future." Time explains. Junos in shock. That explained why he was unhappy with his wife. Of coruse, she was nice to him and so was he, but he was unsure about starting a family with her. "So... you see if we... uhm, yknow... get together?" Juno asked. Time laughed. "Of course, Juno." It smiles. Juno blushed. Juno could never see Time's face, since it obscured it with a shadow, he was always staring at it's lips. His smile was always so beautiful to Juno. He reaches up to hold Time's face. It was cold, but soft. Juno gently pulled Time closer to him. They got so close to each other, they're faces touching. Now Juno could tell Time had a face under that shadow and it wasn't just a void. Juno took a breath, thinking of everything that led him to this moment. When he met time, he didn't like it. He thought he was better than it. And here he is, right about to kiss Time itself. Time initiates the kiss, the two's lips carefully crashing in pure bliss. Juno pulls Time in closer, the kiss ending up more passionate. They both sit up after finishing. "So... this means we're dating now... right?" Juno asks. Time responds with a smile and a laugh, kissing Juno's head, "Of coruse, dumbass."

Chapter Text

"Alright, Juno. This is your first date with Time. A god. Don't fuck this up"

"It's going to be fine." Time smiles, reassuring Juno. Juno returns the smile, blushing.

The two step out of Juno's house. "So, where are we going?" Time asks. "Oh- well, I was thinking we could get ice cream..?" Juno responds nervously. "That would be nice."

Time reaches for Juno's hand. Juno wraps his fingers around Time's mechanical hands, cold and smooth with minor dents. "Your hands.." Juno mutters. "Yeah."

The two walk down the street together, talking and laughing playfully, Juno holding Time as they walk

"Ah, and look who was calling me soft." Time laughs. "Oh, shut up." Juno rolls his eyes, holding it tighter before they arrive at the ice cream shop. Juno smiles. "We... are... here!" Juno smiles, rushing inside. "I swear, you're so childish." Time giggles, following him inside. "What flavor do you want?" Juno asks with a wide smile. He's so head over heels for him, it all felt so fast for him. He hated Time once but look at them now. Juno would now do anything for Time and Time would do anything for Juno.

Time stares at the menu for a moment. "Chocolate. Just chocolate" Time says, calmly "Wow, just- plain chocolate? Like I could just get plain vanilla, but I'm getting vanilla bean." Juno says, almost as if he were bragging. "I wonder how much you've really changed since we started dating." Time says. "Wouldn't you know? You are all seeing after all." Juno responds like a brat. "Well, I mean, it really isn't that big of a deal, is it?"

Juno waits for a moment. "... I suppose." He says, walking up to the register. "And what would you two-"

"Chocolate and vanilla bean." Juno smiles

"Okay.. well, that'll be-"

"This should cover it." Juno interrupts, handing the woman behind the counter a crisp, one-hundred-dollar bill. The woman looks irritated at Juno, rolling her eyes taking the money from him, and handing him his money back. Juno looks up at Time and smiles wide, batting his eyes at Time. Time crosses his arms and looks away. Despite being annoyed by the man, he can't help but blush. Juno looks back forward and takes the ice cream, handing the chocolate ice cream to Time. "Do you even need to eat?" Juno asks as they leave the ice cream shop, not trying to sound rude. "Oh. No, but I like to eat. It's fun to see what your people can do with these plants and animals." Time responds, licking his ice cream.

"Hey, Juno! Look at where you're going." Time warns. Juno looks up to him. "Huh?" he responds, confused before stumbling over a crack on the sidewalk. He luckily caught himself, but his ice cream landed on the ground. Juno pouts, almost as if he were about to cry. "Calm down, you little man-child." Time jokes with a laugh. It just makes Juno feel worse. "Hey, hey! I- here." Time struggles, handing Juno his ice cream. Juno's expression brightened. "Thank you! And.. I'll uhm... look out for where I'm walking." Juno smiles, holding onto Time's hand, pulling him down to his level (Because of the crazy height difference. Juno was a relatively tall, attractive man, Time was just taller than a tall man), kissing his cheek. Time blushes. "You're welcome, my love." It responds, which flusters Juno. Juno loves terms of endearment, something he never really used to get. "I love you!" Juno smiles. Time responds, "I love you too."

Notes:

Y'know, these really suck? but I don't care, I just love the thought of these two sillies as bfs <3

Chapter Text

I wake up in a cold sweat, staring out the window at the sun. I hiss, staring for too long. Does everything do really not matter? Of course it does. It all matters when people remember me the whole time.

I stare at the sun once more, thinking of what I could do to get admiration from everyone. I won't be just a silly phase to everyone. They'll love me forever. I have to matter. I need to know everything. That's it! I won't know everything. Gods are keeping everything from me.

"I'm going to stop you right there," a low voice calls, "Juno."

I turn around. "Who are you? How do you know my name!?" I ask. "Oh ho! Who?" The being laughs. "Yeah. Who? Unless you're a what..." "Persicley! I'm Time! You know, the most important thing forever and ever, the one that will always be everywhere, and once you feel it ends, well, just another will begin."

The thing was speaking almost a foreign language. In riddles, gibberish, even! I scoff at it. "English, please." I replied with attitude.

"Okay. Simply put, mechanical hands are the ruler of everything." It explained, extending it's mechanical over to point at a clock. It's arms went back to a more human length. "So, basically me. I'm the ruler if everything, in the end." It added. I stared at it's obscured face, then down to it's lips, the only thing on it's face I could see. It was smiling.  "And my time, you sure are a pathetic little thing."

Judging by the fact it said 'my time' and not 'my god' or something, it clearly sees itself as a god. I think, trying to stray this conversation away from my flaws.

"Look at my pants." "What? Zirconium?" "No, of course not. They're real." I try and smile, sliding across my floor. "And watch this!" I say again, my voice shaky as I spin. "You can't hide things from me. I know everything forever. And look at you; showing off fake diamonds like you're the real deal?"

"Look..." I say, before strutting across my room. "I mean, look at me! They love me, at least most do. Of coruse, nothing you say will break me, I'm fully aware that I'm the biggest importance." I ramble. "You sure like hearing yourself talk, huh." Time says, in it's low, this time monotone, voice. "Oh, but you must like it." I say, awaiting it's approval. It just laughs. "I- I mean, I try so hard for all of this-" "And you think you'd get approval of a god from it?" "No," I pause, "It's my life." "And there goes the confidence." "I am confident!"

I sigh. "Of course I'm confident, Time. I have a wonderful wife, a powerful job..."

"And that wife?" Time asks. "She's there for me, she loves me." I respond. "You're sure?"

"I mean... she does critizie me every now and then you know? She said I'm like... egocentric..."

"Hah!" Time lets out a big laugh. For what? Is admiting one issue that much to it? "Everything about you is a lie, friend. It's all something you say to yourself, you practice for attention, you never speak or show honesty." It rants. Drat. "Oh, you can't judge me on one interaction! You can know what I do, but never see what's going on inside my mind! I'm just put under pressure, I mean, you are a God after all, but trust me, if you got to know me what I'm saying, it's all real." I rush.

"You collect all these little trinkets that others have told you hold meaning, just so you can have meaning." "No, I do it because I truly enjoy them!" "Don't get mad if I hurt that ego, because you're only digging yourself a deeper hole." "What?"

"I've seen everything you've been though, everything you do! I've been able to watch you from the moment you were born and can view your last breath. I know everything about you and this facade. I'm everywhere. You're not important to anyone and you know that."

Well, that's not true. I think my mother might have found me important. I've forgotten about her. Fuck.

"Don't go there." "I made all this happen, for you to have the right to gain importance, and yet you take it with out right. I could take all this from you if I so desired, of course."

I figured it out. He finally spoke in a way I understood. "So... it's a lie? One giant scheme..?"

"Of course. You can't last forever, because once time ends and starts again, it's like hitting reset. For you go though the same process and end up forgotten. Nothing can last forever, it's all a lie." Time explains. "No, it can't be." "You've gotta face the truth someday, or else once the end of time begins another one, you'll be destined to end only then ay the end realizing that you wasted your time trying to be so important."

"Look at things from my view. I exist so you can, and in turn I watch you create concepts and deems things less or more important. It's all nonsense. It all an excuse to have more power over others."

"Will I know when the clock stops?" I ask. "You must know time is infinite. It doesn't end when you end, it just ignores you and keeps going."

"And know, it doesn't matter if you know this. Comprehend if you can, but don't make a fool of yourself pretending to know. You need to know you can't know everything, and that's what's great! Smile because you don't know everything!" Time explains. My lips start to form into a smile. "Yeah. Sure, I get that.. at least." "You understand how I'm the ruler of everything in the end, now."

Chapter Text

Juno lay in bed, arms and legs sprawled out. It was nearly 2:50 AM and he was restless. He stared up at the high ceiling, his mind full of extensional dread and his fear of death. He was beginning to get anxious. To calm himself down, there was only one thing he could think of to comfort him. Time. Just the mere thought of cuddling up with Time was enough to turn Juno's face into a hot red mess. He thought of everything he did to end up face to face with a god. His rude, egocentric attitude, which caused such a reality check. His realization he had been the one to catch feelings first. The wondered if his attempts to try and show off to it was his pathetic attempt at flirting. He realized something else, however. The thought began flooding his mind.

"Was his acceptance of my love just... A poor way to help me..." Juno would ask himself in a whisper. The thought got him in tears, one falling after the other, soaking his pillow and he began to fear the idea of Time leaving him the moment he felt as if they were a better person.

Time, being all seeing, knew there was something wrong with Juno. Something bothering him. "Hey, baby, can I come in?" Time asked sweetly. Juno shot up, surprised. He wiped off his tears and got up to open the door. There Time stood, towering above the man. Time sighed. "Come here," it said, pulling Juno close to him for an... Almost hug. "Cry if you need to, baby." Time said, the same sweet tone in conflict of his deep voice. Juno began lightly sobbing into Time. "I'm sorry you think that." Time said, rubbing Juno's back carefully and comforting. "I promise to you, that's not why we're together," it began, pulling away from the hug to look Juno in the eyes, "I wouldn't ruin my reputation as a god to date any mortal. You're the only mortal I've ever dated, infact. You're very special to me." Time reassured. Juno smiled, his face red again. Juno stood up on his toes to wrap Time into a passionate kiss. "Mm– now's no time to be so lustful, Juno." Time chuckled. Juno pouted. "Hmm, what about the morning?" Juno asked. "I'll think about it."

Juno gently grabbed onto Time's mechanical hands and began dragging him over to the bed. "Sleep with me tonight. Please." He plead. Time sighed. "Alright, sure," it respond. Juno smiled and pulled Time into the bed, holding onto him tight.

"You know I don't need sleep, right?" Time asked Juno. "Yes, I do. But tonight you will." Juno responded, almost demanding and he held Time tighter and kissed his cheek as he began to doze off.

Notes:

Chapter Text

Time, awkward and shaky. Dispite being the most important out of the main gods (and in turn the other littler gods) it was definitely the the most awkward, even if he did have such an intimidating structure and seemed like a orderly, in line being, it was certainly awkward at 'times.'

"How's the mortal you're dating?" Ms Sun asked, sarcasm dripping out of her voice. "It's dating a mortal?" & Asked, shocked, while & said unamused. "You two didn't know?" Their sister, Betty responded. The two shook they're heads. "So? How is it?" Ms Sun repeated. "He." Time growled back, obviously defensive over him. "What's his name?" Mr Moon asked. "It... It's Juno." Time responded, the name gracefully rolling off his tongue. Every time he said it he couldn't help but feel a beat in it's odd heart, his mechanical hands growing cold. "Hm. That's not so bad of a name." Said Mr Moon.

"Why a mortal– why that mortal?" Betty asked. Time sighed, his face a red mess. "Egocentric, yes, but my Time, his he the cutest mortal ever... he's so bashful, and shy, and adorable, he doesn't put up with any shit.. and when you're someone he cares about... he cares about you." It rambled. The gods nodded. "Seems like a decent mortal."

"Out of the eons you've been alive, you've never once met a mortal as appealing as this one?" Ms Sun asks. Time nods bashfully. "How old is he?" & asked with bright curiosity, while & responded deadpan and unamused. "Ehhh, 26."

"What do you do when he dies?" Betty asked with a smirk. It hit Time. He didn't think about that much yet. A few times when they began dating, yes, but for the past five or so months they've been dating, it never hit it. What will he do when Juno dies? Will they even be able to get married? For gods they wait thousands of years before deciding to marry, it's like a century to them. How fast will Juno's life be for Time?

Ms Sun glared. "Betty!"

"It's a legitimate question! What'll it do?"

"It's fine, S*n," it said, "I'm going to see Juno."
