Work Text:
The crowd in the Leaky Cauldron was obviously raucous. Even from outside, Lily could hear people toasting and cheering as each player entered the pub. Bouncing on the balls of her toes, she grinned.
Following her mother, Lily had played Quidditch in school and applied as a Chaser to several clubs. When she had first joined the Wimbourne Wasps, she had been sceptical of their chances of winning anything. But she had been wrong. It had been a good win that afternoon. The Tutshill Tornadoes had put up a hard fight, but hadn't been able to stand against them. Lily herself had even scored a few times.
"Lily!"
Her smile widened. Turning, she stepped out of the line waiting to enter the pub just as Scorpius stepped up onto the pavement. Lily didn't even get a chance to greet him before she was dragged into a tight embrace.
"I told you you'd win."
Lily laughed. "What you told me was 'you'll be right, Lils' as you rolled over this morning and went back to sleep. How is that telling me that we'd win?"
Scorpius wrapped his arms around her waist as she pulled back, holding her close. His smile was infectious, making his pale eyes dance with amusement.
"Come on, Lils. You didn't even give me a chance to wake up!"
Winding her arms up and around his shoulders, Lily stood on her toes to place a soft kiss on Scorpius' lips. "Maybe next time I'll just have to find a way to wake you up."
Leaning down to kiss her properly, Scorpius hummed. "And maybe I'll have to let you."
