Chapter Text
During highschool, the future fairytale characters are given the opportunities to “conclude” “failed stories” of the past however they see fit. That could be giving it a happy ending or a sad and tragic one, and then they are graded for how well they did after the Grimm Brothers personal review. Students are encouraged to attempt to conclude as many stories as possible as it is a type of competition though some stories are naturally worth more than others… but those stories of course have higher risk factors and higher chances of failure. These stories are considered failures for many reasons that vary from a small missed role or mistake to full on natural disasters or even invasions that derail the original plot.
Students are split into teams of four with one leader and they are to make their own choices when it comes to what stories to conclude and how to do so, though they have to balance the rest of their school lives as well; the challenges are an opportunity but aren’t necessary and can be taken away as a punishment at any time.
Each of these students are lucky enough that their stories are in the Story Book of Legends and weren’t abandoned. They shouldn’t take that for granted though.
