“So Siblings or dating?” Nick asks as he leans the phone toward Chris and Matt so they can see the picture he has on his phone.
Everyone goes silent and Nick stifles his laughter by looking up and breathing deeply.
It’s a picture of Matt and Chris sitting next each other having a good lunch but Chris can’t help but feel embarrassed that his brother has just called out his feelings for his other brother, even though he knows Nick just thought it’d be funny and didn’t really mean anything by it…or did he.
“You’re actually so incredibly funny Nick did you know that?” Matt says and Chris obnoxiously laughs in his face trying to get his feelings under control because he can’t have people actually thinking that his little joke affected him.
“Next picture” Matt says rolling his eyes proceeding to look down and twiddle with his thumbs.
Chris also looks down too but recovers quickly and sneaks a peak at Matt noticing he’s looking a bit distraught. He can’t have his favorite boy sad so he turns to him and reaches over for his armpit.
“Hey Matt. Matt..
You ticklish?” Chris wiggles his finger in Matt’s armpit but it appears that he’s in fact not ticklish and his attempt to put a smile on Matt’s face has failed.
“Okay and then you go into this” Nick says pointing at the physical contact between the two. Chris retracts his arm and looks away out the window his heart hurting because not only was he rejected by Matt but now Nick had started calling them out again.
Matt looked over to Chris feeling insanely guilty about ignoring him so he also reaches over, this time he places his hand on Chris’ neck wiggling his fingers trying to tickle him back and maybe get his happy Chris back.
“Are YOU ticklish?” Matt said in a soft voice and that got Chris’ smile right back onto his face and while he was still staring at the window, Matt felt accomplished because he knew that he had made Chris smile.
