Chapter Text
"Mother, please-"
"Amy, you have to go, now." Ophelia gently nudged Amy towards the Dragon's Gate. Anna watched with a solemn expression.
"Amy, look at me!" Soleil crouched down to Amy's level. "It's not safe for you here. I know you want to stay and help, but... you can't. You're so young, and we're scared that... if you stay here, you might get hurt, and we don't want that to happen, okay?" Soleil brushed hair out of Amy's face.
Amy nodded as she wiped away tears.
Anna sorted through a bag, and pulled out a handkerchief. "Here, take this," She said quietly, as she offered it out. Amy took it slowly and began wiping her tears and nose. Percy nudged Amy towards the Dragon's Gate again.
"We love you, we love you so much!" Ophelia gave Amy a kiss on the forehead, then the tightest hug she'd ever felt. "As long as you have this," Ophelia gripped Amy's pendant, a purple, rhombus-shaped jewel, "We'll always be with you. Now, go!"
Amy ran into the Dragon's Gate. "Goodbye, Mother! Goodbye, Mom!"
Ophelia and Soleil waved back at Amy. Anna elected to simply nod, not wanting to intrude.
"So, where's this pendant now?" Lisa asked gently, making sure she didn't step somewhere she wasn't meant to.
"Here!" Fischl, beaming proudly, gripped her bowtie and pointed to the jewel in the middle.
"Oh, that... that makes sense, I suppose. What about that one?" Lisa pointed to the other jewel attached to Fischl's stocking.
"Oh, this one? There's no sentimental value to it, I just thought it would look good with this outfit, ehe." Fischl scratched the back of her head. Oz hacked to fill the awkward silence that followed.
"Is that all you wanted to tell me about?" Lisa's expression softened.
"Oh, no, there's more. I'm just... not sure you have the time to hear all of it."
"I'll reserve some time tomorrow, so you can tell me all you want."
"No, you don't need to do that, really!"
"Fischl, you're not a bother to me, at all! I don't want you to think you are. You can come here whenever you want, and I'll try to help to the best of my ability. That said, Jean needs me in about... 10 minutes, so run along now, and I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
"Okay! Thank you, Lisa!"
