Work Text:
There he was, standing far away. In the mist— his figure outlines his features. He stands there, still in time as his hair flows through the wind.
Hands far apart.
He looks back to see him. He puts on a sad smile and gestures goodbye. He walks slowly away, his person becoming smaller and smaller as he half-heartedly drags his feet on the ground.
The other person quickly pances forward to get a grasp from him once more. This time his person grows larger. An exhausted pant released from his mouth as he slowly pushed his body near the man.
Hands grow closer.
The man looked back to see him so disheveled as he crouched down and embraced him. The young man collapsed on to the ground as he crushed the man beneath him.
"Please. Don't go again."
Hands in each other's.
The man put on a tired smile and whispered “I'm sorry Phoenix.”
A mute voice muttered in the flowing wind, “Goodbye.”
No more.

Phoenix awoke in a sweat as he grips the bed sheet in a harsh manner with sweat running through his face. Slowly, tears emerged– mixing with the other liquid cooling his face. He stays like that for some time. The chilly wind flying in from his open window, with his curtains flowing left to right. His room was dark, lonely, and frightened. Multiple antidepressants inhibit his room, with the gloomy atmosphere complementing the theme.
His breath was labored, but he was still cursing his mind.
