‘’ Today we’ll be having a special interview right after this ad break! ‘’
The TV screen flashes on as the familiar red hair heroine and the glasses sit on a bar stool as they tune into the news.
‘’ Ah, so they really did go after all that fussing… ‘’
A older lady dragged her cigarette on her lips and let out a massive cloud of smoke.
‘’ I knew it, Gin-chan would never miss out an opportunity to be on TV… He’s like the want-to-be-famous-but-also-the-rather-modest type. ‘’
Kagura flicks her toothpick on the table as she keeps her eyes glued on the screen.
‘’ Though I wonder if they have the courage to talk about their relationship to the world… ‘’
Shinpachi pulls his glasses up as he takes a sip of the tea placed in front of him.
‘’ Well it’s no use worrying about it now, you two haven’t seen them in awhile right? ‘’
Otose puts down the cigarette on the tray and looks over at Shinpachi and Kagura.
‘’ Yeah, the jobs of the Yorozuya gets too tough for an old man you know! ‘’
‘’ Hey now Kagura-chan… Gin-san is only in his 40s you know… he’s not too old. ‘’
Shinpachi comments as Kagura picks on the array of Takoyaki set out on the bar table.
‘’ That’s an old man to me! ‘’
Catherine laughs as she cleans the tea cups.
‘’ And you two are full grown adults now.. Ah how time flies. ‘’
Otose smiles.
‘’ Tama! Make sure you get this recorded. ‘’
‘’ I will Otose-sama. ‘’
Tama nods as she connects her cords to the TV.

On the other side of Edo the same channel gets switched on as a group of people mingle to face the rather tiny television screen.
‘’ Oi Kondo-san, is it starting soon? I’m gonna fall asleep. ‘’
The familiar guy lifts up his red eye mask as he straightens himself on the floor.
‘’ Any moment now Sougo! I’m excited to see Toshi on the screen! ‘’
‘’ I’ve got to record this incase Hijikata messes up.. ‘’
Sougo fiddles around with the TV to record the broadcast.
‘’ I can’t believe Hijikata-san said yes to the interview. ‘’
The seemingly plain male faced the screen as he clenches his uniform pants nervously.
‘’ Well I hope Hijikata falls of the stage. ‘’
Sougo smirks as he fixes up his eye mask and sits back down.
‘’ Sougo, we should be happy for them, they’ve come a long way from where they first started haven’t they? ‘’
Kondo smiles, recollecting the old memories.
‘’ Ah, it’s starting! ‘’
Both parties on the other side of the screen exclaim as the ads flash off and the silhouette of an young woman appears.

‘’ Hello people of Edo! Today we bring a special interview to you guys today. ‘’
The woman smiles as she waves.
‘’ One of the many faces of Edo, please welcome Mr Sakata and Mr Hijikata! ‘’
The group of people tuning in to the show fight to see the silhouette of the two men coming into the shot - The silver haired perm comes in then the ravenet follows.
‘’ Oh my god it’s Gin-chan!!! Shinpachi he made it!!! Gin-chan made it to the big screen!!! ‘’
Kagura excitedly slams the table as she points at the perm head on the screen.
‘’ Oi China, you’re gonna break the table! Your strength has only gotten worse over the years! ‘’
Otose shouts out as she tries to keep the Takoyaki balls flying across the table.
On the other side of the screen, the ravenet and the perm head take a seat on the red couch.
‘’ Thank you for joining us today Mr Sakata and Mr Hijikata! ‘’
The girl on the TV screen smiles as she faces the two males.
‘’ Now we have a list of questions we’d like to ask..! ‘’
‘’ Please go ahead, me and Oogushi-kun will be happy to answer. ‘’
Gintoki puts arms behind his head as he gets comfortable on the rather vivid couch.
‘’ Great! We wanted to enquire about how you two met? ‘’
‘’ We met under rough circumstances… and we didn’t start off the best, as you might know we’re quite different. ‘’
Gintoki recalls the old memories of him and Hijikata and chuckles.
‘’ What an exciting first encounter! May we ask how you two went from that to friendship? ‘’
‘’ I guess it just happened naturally, we kept on running into each other after that and just grew close I suppose. ‘’
Gin put his hand on Hijikata’s shoulder and Hijikata gave him a blank stare in return.
‘’ Fated to be! How did you two… become official? ‘’
The woman eyes the silver rings on both their fingers, Hijikata turns a bit pink at the mention of it.
‘’ This old man wouldn’t leave me alone until I said yes, that’s what happened. ‘’
Hijikata answers the question, trying to brush his blush away.
‘’ OI! I wasn’t that crazy..! ‘’
The silver perm head goes right on defence mode as he denies the allegations.

‘’ Gin-chan is lying!!!! He used to cry about Toshi ditching their plans for missions and would make poor Sadaharu stay with him for hours!! ‘’
Kagura rolls her eyes at the absurdity of Gin’s words - Sadaharu barks to agree with Kagura.
‘’ I’ve got to say, Gin-san is quite shy when talking about his relationship with Hijikata-san… ‘’
‘’ Some people don’t take well to the same sex marriage stuff, Hijikata is still the vice commander of the Shinsengumi afterall… It’s a shame though, he really loves to show off Hijikata. ‘’
Otose sighs and takes a long drag of her cigarette.
‘’ You know, maybe that’s a good thing. I’d feel bad if anyone else had to listen to drunk Gin-chan blabber about his husband. ‘’
‘’ Hahaha, you’re right Kagura-chan. ‘’

‘’ How long have you two been together? ‘’
The woman enquires as she smiles at the two males, they turn their heads to each other and blankly stares at each other for a bit before answering at the same time.
‘’ We dated for 7 years, married for 4 years and 6 months - 12 days 4 hours 51 minutes 31 seconds - actually 41 now. ‘’

Sougo scrunches up his face at the exact dates.
‘’ HAHAHAHA! I knew they were smitten for each other! ‘’
Kondo laughs wholeheartedly shaking the whole room making the tea Yamazaki prepared spill on the TV.
‘’ Ah shit. ‘’
They all say in unison.

‘’ OI TOSHI! GIN-CHAN STRUGGLES WITH YOUR MAYO ADDICTION EVERYDAY!!! DON’T SAY SUCH HURTFUL STUFF TO YOUR IKEMAN HUSBAND!! ‘’
‘’ OI! Don’t go calling me Toshi on live television you idiot! ‘’
‘’ Lovely dovey as newly weds still I see~ ‘’

The males shout in unison.

‘’ Okay, this is the ‘ Snack Otose ‘ right?? ‘’
Yamazaki pulls the police car in front of the familiar building with the name plates ‘ Snack Otose ‘ and ‘ Yorozuya Gin-chan. ‘
‘’ Sure is, I’ve come here with Otae chan multiple times! ‘’
Kondo comments.
‘’ More like hiding to see a glimpse of her… ‘’
The three men get out of the car and open the bar door, where the group of people inside stares at them blankly.
‘’ Oi, what are you tax thieves doing here? ‘’
Kagura snarls, eyeing Sougo.
‘’ We broke our TV, and we thought it’d be good to watch with Danna’s family.. ‘’
Yamazaki smiles, trying to contain his nervousness.
‘’ You hear that China? We wouldn’t have come here otherwise. ‘’
Sougo glares back at Kagura, trying to stir up something.
‘’ You ugly sadist! ‘’
Kagura flicks the toothpick onto Sougos direction, where it impales right onto the door.
‘’ Okay, okay if you two are going to stir up a fight, go out and do it. ‘’
Otose puts out her cigarette on the tray as she glares at them both.
‘’ Ugh. You’re spared for today, I can’t miss this for the world. ‘’
Kagura pouts as she faces the TV screen again.
‘’ Spared? What a bunch of lies. ‘’
Sougo calms down and takes a seat on the couch, tuning into the TV - Kondo and Yamazaki follow, taking a seat on the couch.
‘’ It’s good to get together once in awhile. ‘’
Otose chuckles.

‘’ Haha, we have a few questions from the audience - the first one is what makes your teamwork so flawless? ‘’
They both stare at each other again before answering.
‘’ We don’t really know, it just happens. ‘’
‘’ How particular, it’s like you guys are destined to be! ‘’
The woman exclaims as she lights up.
They both turn flushed and they cough awkwardly.
‘’ The next one is… Can Hijikata-san ditch Sakata-san for me? Seems like you’re quite popular with the ladies Hijikata-san to get an question like this! ‘’
‘’ Eh?! ‘’
Gin laughs as he hears the question.
‘’ I’m sorry, but Toshi-chan can’t get it up if it- ‘’
Hijikata whacks Gin firmly on the head knocking him out flatly on the couch.
‘’ That’s it for the interview today. Thank you everyone for tuning in. ‘’
Hijikata smiles menacingly at the camera.
‘’ Eh..? We still have more ques- ‘’
‘’ END OF INTERVIEW. ‘’
Hijikata’s dark aura only seems to increase.
‘’ Yes! Of course!! Thanks for tuning in today everyone!! ‘’
The woman smiles, sweating nervously like crazy and the screen flashes into the ads.

The group of people in Snack Otose goes silent, before everyone bursts into laughter.
‘’ Gin-san just had to say it didn’t he… ‘’
Shinpachi sighs, before laughing.
‘’ I didn’t expect anything more then that. ‘’
Otose laughs as Tama unplugs herself from the TV.
‘’ Oh my, Danna is quite the devious one… ‘’
Sougo chuckles.
‘’ Poor Toshi! Gin-chan had to let his dirty thoughts out!! He really is no good. ‘’
‘’ Ah, when Gintoki and Hijikata get back we’re playing that to them over and over again. ‘’
Otose tells Tama which everyone agrees to and laughs harder.
‘’ Best broadcast ever. ‘’
