AAAHHHHHH

"WHAT?" Officer Lopez screamed into the phone, absolute shock on her face. She turned to Nolan and West, who were right behind her when she got the call
"Bradford and Chen are in a hostage situation"
The swat team and most of the police force, including Sergeant Grey, banded together and made a plan to rescue Tim. While on patrol with Chen, a gang attacked them and managed to knock both of them out, able to bring them to an abandoned warehouse. They were smart enough to keep Chen and Bradford in separate areas of the warehouse.
Swat raided the place while the police came in silently, scouting the area and looking for the two rooms Lucy and Tim were in. They were in complete opposite sides of the building so it would be harder to get to them.
"Now, your friends are here so you're gonna do exactly what I say, or else they're bring you home in a body bag, got it?" Alejandro, one of the heads of the gang group threatened with a sinister tone, pointing his gun at Tim's forehead. All he could do was nod and breath heavily, as there was a rag in his mouth and he was tied up to a pipe with his hands behind his back.
Alejandro laughed and stood up, putting his gun by his side. "What should I do with you first? I already took off all your pretty little equipment" The thug shrugged and tilted his head, giving Tim a nasty smile. Tim looked up at him with a glare, ready to fight despite being bound.
Gunshots and shouting we're suddenly heard outside and Alejandro cursed, looking to the door panicked. He snarled down at Tim and gave him a heavy kick to his crotch. Tim curled up the best he could and shut his eyes tight, muffled grunts of pain coming from the rag. The thug bent down and gave him a punch to his cheek. Blood ran down his nose and vision in one eye was failing.
"You better regret locking up one of my buddies, you bitch" Alejandro said in a low tone as he crouched infront of Tim and pointed his gun inbetween his eyes.
Tim squirmed under him as his life flashed before his eyes, but just then the door got busted down and suddenly the thug was standing with his hands up.
"HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM! DROP YOUR WEAPON!" Nolan shouted as he pointed his gun at Alejandro and walked towards him. The criminal dropped his gun on the floor and turned down as Nolan ordered him around and cuffed him.
Sergeant Grey ran over to Tim, who struggled to stay still in his bounds. Grey cut the ropes around him and unlocked his cuffs after he took out the rag in his mouth.
Grey was dumbfounded for a moment as Tim hugged him around his ribs suddenly. The smaller man cried into his shoulder and gave him pathetic thanks. Grey sighed heavily and hugged him back, looking around cautiously. He knew what was going on and he wished it was happening, not now, not here of all places.
Tim couldn't be regressing. Not now. But Wade understood, he did. He was his primary caregiver after all. It was his job.
Tim and Lucy were saved and brought to the hospital as the gang members were arrested and the warehouse was searched thoroughly.
Sergeant Grey stayed with Tim the whole time. Well, he didn't really have a choice to leave as the boy was clinging onto him the whole time and refused to let go. He ended up falling asleep after the doctors patched him up. He had a black eye, a gash on his forehead, a large cut to his stomach and some other minor injuries. Chen was less injured than him and she also had to get some medical treatment as she had a broken arm and some cuts.
They would both need stitches and a few days away from work.
Grey sat by Tim's bed, fidgeting with his hands as he looked at the ground. He had been sitting there for hours, worried about his little one.
After a while, Tim stirred and wriggled in his bed. Wade looked up and gently held his arm
"Bradford? Tim?"
"Mmn? Papa..?" Tim asked in a small, raspy voice as he slowly opened his eyes and looked at Wade, his image all blurry.
He winced and curled in on himself for a second, pain shooting through him. Wade stood up somewhat and put his hand on his chest to keep him down. "I'm here, Tim. I'm here. You're okay. You're in the hospital, remember? The nice doctors helped you feel better"
"I wanna go home, Papa..." Tim held Wades arm and gave him a teary eyed look. Wade almost broke down, but he was stronger than that.
"I know, I know buddy. But you have to stay here for a few more hours, okay?"
"No... No no" Tim shook his head and tears started to pour from his eyes. He wiped them desperately, still too proud of himself to cry.
Wade sighed and rubbed his chest gently, giving him a soft look
"I know bud, but you can't go home right now. You still need to go through a few more tests with the nice doctors, okay?"
Tim sniffled and did his best to sit up with little pain. He wiped the blanket on his face and rubbed at his eyes. He nodded, which made Wade smile. "Theres my strong boy"
Wade patted Tim's back and that got him to smile, but only for a second.
Tim looked down, seemingly to be very sad.
"The evil men took me and Ms Lucy... We were just on patrol when they..." He tensed and hugged himself, new tears threatening to pour.
"Hey, hey now... No need for that. You don't need to remember all that right now, Tim" Wade reassured as he rubbed the littles back. Tim sniffled and sole tears trickled down his face. He shivered and leaned his head on Wades shoulder. The Sergeant let out a soft breath and continued to rub the boys back as he cried silently, hugging onto him.
Hours later, Grey brought Tim home and promised to stay with him, as leaving a little boy home alone and injured wasn't a good idea.
"Papa?" Tim asked as he leaned his head on Greys shoulder as they sat with a blanket around them on the couch.
"Hm?"
"Why do people do bad things? Why cant everyone be nice?"
Wade thought about it for a moment, his heart aching from the question as it came from his fellow officer, but, Tim wasn't his fellow officer. He wasn't Bradford right now. He was Tim, a hurt little boy who didn't understand the world.
"Because they lived bad lives. Doesn't make them bad people though, they only do bad things"
Tim nodded, though Wades answer would take him some time to understand, but he wouldn't push it. He nuzzle his face into the older man's chest and hugged him.
"Thank you for saving me. It was really scary"
Wade held onto Tim, wanting to protect with his life, and he would do that if need be
"Of course, bud"
