Chapter Text
Zack doesn’t believe in love at first sight, but he does believe in flirting with pretty girls in red hoods who smell heavenly.
She’s kneeling in the flower fields, and when he skulks closer for a better look, he snaps an errant twig underfoot, startling the hood from her head and snatching the breath from his lungs. Cascading auburn curls, rosy cheeks, and wide green eyes like a verdant summer forest. Forget pretty, she is radiant.
And doesn’t run when she sees him, so he smiles, saunters closer. “Hi, I’m Zack—”
“Hi Zack.” With a voice like spun honey. “Duck!”
