Chapter Text
POV Izuku
Ok I know what you’re going to ask, “How did I end up breaking the internet?” Well I think I’ll start from the beginning. I was 8 and needed an outlet. Actually let’s start from the true beginning. My name is Ronin.
Okay so I thought I’d also give some context about the name, because legally my name isn’t Ronin. However, I have been called it since I was born. My parents were and still are beasts in their fields, their reputations were of fear, you never crossed them. I’m the son of the Underground Hero Konton and the lawyer known to most as Raijin. Konton was known for his unpredictability, analytical skills, and fierce takedowns, the monster of the underground. He trained many of the leaders of the current underground, that was until a mission went wrong. He was sent on a mission to gather intel of an organization. The Commission's mole flipped and it got Konton killed. Most of the underground suspected it was actually done by the Commission due to him being uncontrollable. It was known to some he had a family but very few knew who, his funeral was small and kept relatively underwraps. I was only 3 when he died, he was and still is a huge inspiration. He and my Mom would always switch between bringing me to their work. I know you might be asking how would it work for my Dad? Well I’d hang out at his agency and some of the other heroes and workers would watch me when I was there and he was on patrol. Mom always says I get my love of analyzing from him. He left all of his analysis journals to me, I would scour them and I still do. My Mom on the other hand is a lawyer, she uses her name but since early in her career she’s built up a reputation. Many just know her as Raijin in the courts, you’ll walk into court only for your case to be shot down like lightning. She’s always been supportive of my dreams. I was born 5 years into their marriage, and they knew they never wanted me held down by others or controlled. They knew my nickname before my actual name, they went with Izuku but still called me Ronin more than anything. My Mom said if I were to have a middle name it would have been that. Mom laughs when we talk about middle names because Dad had one because of his Mom being from America. We’d laugh because they gave him a joke middle name of Dragon.

When I was 5 and not showing signs of a quirk we went to the doctors, I didn’t know what was to come. When he came back in the room he looked like it was a death sentence apparently, I’m quoting mom there.
“I’m sorry but your child is quirkless, I also have the forms to help you find a new doctor as I don’t take quirkless patients.” The doctor informs my mom.
Man was he in for a storm, he just told Raijin her son wasn’t welcomed.
We got home and mom was pissed. She told me not to listen to that garbage because he wasn’t worth my time. It hurt because I love quirks, the ins and outs, the why, everything they encompass, yet I was quirkless. We like to joke that the gods needed a way to not make me overpowered.
Not only was mom a top lawyer, but she knew about the discrimination faced by all of the marginalized groups, including the quirkless. I could tell the next day she was on a warpath, I just assumed she had a new case that angered her. I didn’t want to bug her with school stuff, but after the doctor's appointment school changed.

POV Inko
Inko was pissed. How could a so called doctor drop him from his practice because Izuku was quirkless? She found him a new doctor but nonetheless if it wasn’t for her connections and family she'd be screwed. She thought, what about the families who don’t? She’s on a warpath to create a change, her first step is to sue that practice. She would try to get them closed but doesn’t want to affect other families if she doesn’t have to. This would set a precedent for discrimination against quirkless which will impact other groups as well. She wants this suit televised to push the importance and precedence of this outcome, she will even leak it to the press when the time comes. She’s always been protective of her son and after her marriage kept her maiden name when it comes to her work, she was happy it still stayed as such her son came first.

< MESSAGES
Me:
The appointment went badly, the doctor was quirkiest. He acted like Zu isn’t a human because, he’s quirkless. Zu doesn’t fully understand but I was going to fully explain later with Katsudon. I hope he won’t take it badly with his favorite food, if your free your always welcomed to join us. I also was wondering if you had recommendations or if you could be Zu’s primary doctor, they dropped him when they found out he’s quirkless.
Mom❤️ :
Please give hugs to Zuzu from me, unfortunately I won’t be able to join you tonight. I can give you some recommendations for doctors but I’d love to be his primary. I’m sorry you had to experience that, that was unacceptable what you went through. I’ll stop by this week at some point. I love you two. ❤️
Me:
Love you to Mom. ❤️

POV Izuku
I know, I know Izuku, why haven’t you told your mom about the bullying. I don’t want to bug her, she’s been busy with a case. She’s been putting her all into it, all it is is me being called Deku and slight quirk usage. The others are going along with it and the teachers have been acting like I don’t exist. Katsuki has been the leader, which is confusing because his mom and my mom have a close professional relationship. She’s their company’s on-call lawyer, so why is he mean to me? The Bakugou Fashion company gets into controversy and legal trouble more often than they should, you’d think they’d treat their lawyers' family right. It’s only been like 6 months since I was told I’m quirkless, but since then I’ve finished analyzing my classmates and their quirks, Mom was proud when I tell her.
I can only hope none of my classmates don't figure out I analyzed their quirks that can make things escalate. I also am starting to run out of first aid stuff and Uncle Ashes is starting to question why I need so much. He, Auntie Kiki, and Granny have been watching me a lot more lately.

POV 3rd Person
It’s been eight grueling months for Inko and the case keeps being dragged out which is annoying. They're trying to keep it from going to court and a public hearing, but she’s having none of the defense’s shit. But the hearing is happening in two weeks, so she is leaking it to the public to add fuel to the fire. A precedent will be set, and discrimination is going to take a hit. Just like with the quirkless, the so called villainous and mutant quirks are also heavily discriminated against. She’s also been suspecting something’s up with her Ronin though, she hopes he’ll tell her soon.
She did it, she won the case! The case can and will be used to help those discriminated due to quirk status. It calls for katsudon for dinner and a crying cuddle with Izuku. She got to tell him all about the case and what this can do as well as how it’ll help others. He burst out in tears that she's been doing all of this for him because he was wronged. When he heard he wasn't the only one who got treated like him, he started crying realizing he isn't the only one. We were able to enjoy the night together, and Izuku eventually was able to get some coherent words out asking to talk to her tomorrow. From the way Inko saw her kid acting she wouldn’t say no, no matter what. After he falls asleep on her she scoops the bean up and takes him to her room, she just wants to keep him in her sights for the night.

⚡️Raijin⚡️@LightingLawyer✔️
No child or person should be discriminated because of something out of their control. Doctors take an oath the help others, it is disgraceful to drop patents and children no less due to an uncontrollable factor. No matter you have a quirk or not, you have a right to healthcare.
Recovery Girl @RG ✔️ I could not say it better myself, those who do are a disgrace who claim to be doctors.

POV Izuku
When I wake up I'm curled up to mom, I haven't done this in a while but it feels good. Momma looks content and happy. She’s been exhausted lately, I’m happy she got sleep. I’m able to fall back asleep, which I'll take because sleep is always welcomed. She woke me up at some point with a kiss on my forehead, then as I’m waking heard the words breakfast. She can make a mean breakfast so I get ready quickly. After I leave the bathroom I walk downstairs to smell American breakfast, I can only drool. She made loaded pancakes, eggs and bacon, as well as a coffee for her and a hot chocolate with cinnamon for me.
I scarf it down and when she finishes she starts talking and asks, “What was it you wanted to tell me when you asked to talk today?” To which, I immediately blush and panic.
“Oh honey, remember in 2 3 4, hold 2 3 4 5 6 7 8, out 2 3 4 5 6, okay let’s do it again.” Mom says as she’s walking me through breathing.
She continues with, “Can you name 5 things you can see?”
“You, uhm the table,”
“You're doing great sweetie, can you give me 3 more?”
“Breakfast, the floor, and uhm your breakfast.”
“Wonderful, can you give me 4 things you can feel?”
“My my shirt, your hands, uhh the floor, and uhm my pants”
“Ok hon keep going, can you say 3 things you hear”
“I can hear the fridge, my heartbeat, your voice.”
“Ok now do we need to continue or are you good?”
“I think I’m good.”
“Ok let me know if you need a break. Now what was it that you wanted to tell me?” Mom asks in a calm tone.
Meekly I responded mumbling, “Bakugou and some other classmates have been bullying me about not having a quirk and the school is letting it happen, he even used his quirk on me.”
