Tommy really does not want to be here right now. Usually he would get a kick out of being at a pub, but well not today.
He was dragged here by Tubbo, who immediately left him by himself. He groans sliding down slightly on the stool chair he’s on.
“Rough night?” A voice calls out next to him. He turns and is greeted with sight of a tall, slim brunette. He’s wearing a white long sleeve, a couple buttons unbuttoned revealing part of his pale chest.
“More like ‘I don’t want to be here kinda night.’” Tommy retorts.
The man takes a seat on the chair next to him. “And why is that?” His entire body facing Tommy.
“Dragged here by a friend. ‘Parently some band he wants to see play has a gig here.” Tommy shrugs, making eye contact with the brunette.
He sees the man dwindle a little before smiling. “You don’t know the band playing here?”
“Nope. Just heard a couple of their songs here and there.”
The brunette hums. “How about a drink? It’s on me.”
Tommy thinks about it for a moment. “Fuck it. Why not?”
The man’s smile brightens. “Great!” He calls the bartender over. “Hey, we’ll have two martinis. With vodka.” He turns back to Tommy. “Now where were we, gorgeous?”
Tommy raises an eyebrow. “‘Gorgeous’? Are we flirting now?” He teases.
The man smirks, leaning closer to Tommy. “Only if you want to, darling.”
This man has somehow entranced Tommy. Never before has Tommy felt this way, especially about a guy he just met not even five minutes ago. Tommy won’t deny that the man is easy on the eyes.
“I don’t even know your name, handsome.” Tommy preens a little at the slight blush that rises on the man’s cheeks.
“It’s, Wilbur, but I wouldn’t mind you calling me ‘handsome’ instead.” The brunette, Wilbur says, winking at him. “What’s your name, cutie?”
“Tommy.”
“‘Tommy’, hm, a pretty name for a pretty guy.” Tommy does not blush, nope he doesn’t.
The bartender comes back handing them their drinks before Tommy could say anything. He takes a small sip, grimacing a little at the bitter taste.
Wilbur laughs. “Never had a martini before?”
Tommy shakes his head, placing the drink back down. “So.”
Wilbur tilts his head to the side. “So?”
“What brings you to the pub?”
Wilbur scooches his chair closer to Tommy. “Well, you know, the entertainment.”
Tommy laughs. “The entertainment? Big guy, you can say the strippers.”
“No, not that entertainment.” Tommy notices the way Wilbur’s eyes frequently move down to stare at his lips.
He unconsciously licks them. “Your entertainment is flirting with guys sitting alone at the bar and looking at their lips?”
Wilbur raises the glass to his lips, taking a huge sip. “Only the cute blonde ones, love.”
“I’m glad I fall into the category.” Tommy says, sarcastically.
Wilbur smiles again. Tommy sees him look down at his watch and frown. “What’s wrong?”
“Ah, I have to go, but…” Tommy watches him grab a napkin, and pull out a pen scribbling down something, and then handing it to Tommy. “Text me after the show, and we can continue this, baby.”
He doesn’t expect Wilbur to grab his thigh and squeeze as he gets up and leaves but he does. He jolts a little, and hears Wilbur chuckle as he walks away.
That did not just happen. He looks down at the napkin. ‘I’ll be waiting ;)’ reads the note along with what he assumes is Wilbur’s number, and Tommy can’t hold back the smile that spreads on his face.
He feels like a schoolboy, giggling at a note that some guy had asked multiple other students to pass down until it reached the ‘cute blonde’.
He watches Wilbur go through the crowd, and then someone is crashing into him. “Tommy, the show is about to start!” It’s Tubbo because of course it is.
Tubbo grabs him by the hand pulling at him until he gets up from his chair. “Ok, ok hold on, mate!” He takes one huge sip of the martini, and gets up letting Tubbo drag him along.
They end up somewhere near the middle of the crowd. Tubbo having shoved his way through, and Tommy continuously having to apologize.
“Hey, Toby, what if I told you this hot guy gave me his number?” Tubbo turns to look at him, eyes wide. “What?” He yells. “Some guy came up to you, and gave you his number!” Tommy nods. “Holy shit, dude! What’s he look like?”
Tommy goes on a ramble, describing every piece of Wilbur. From his brown, honey eyes to the way his white long sleeve shirt hugged him perfectly showing his slim, but fit body with just the tiny hint of muscles.
“You sound like you're in love. Tommy has a little crush.” He prodes at Tommy’s stomach, Tommy smacking his hands away. “Oh shove off you, prick. I’m not in love, I just met the guy.”
Tubbo only hums, showing he doesn’t believe Tommy whatsoever. All of a sudden the lights dim, only one light remaining which makes the main focus become the little stage up front.
A guy immediately walks out, and Tommy recognizes it’s Wilbur. What the fuck.
Three men follow after him, getting in position in back of him while he remains front and center. “Toby…now what if I told you the guy that gave me his number is him.” He points to Wilbur, and Tubbo’s eyes follow to where he points. When his eyes finally land on who Tommy’s pointing at he starts hitting Tommy in excitement.
“The Wilbur Soot gave you his number! Tommy, how did you not know who he was!” He grabs Tommy’s face, and shakes him. “You idiot! Holy fuck!”
“I don’t really pay attention to your rambles about this band!” He defends, words coming out a little mushed. He puts his hands over Tubbo’s where he has them still on his face before pulling them away.
He turns back to the stage, and finds Wilbur looking directly at him, a glint in his eyes that Tommy reads as jealousy. When their eyes meet Wilbur’s they hold eye contact for what feels like forever, and then Wilbur breaks it all too soon.
Throughout the show Wilbur sneaks glances at him, watching him and Tubbo laugh and dance to the songs.
Tommy takes his time to admire him. How the light focuses on him, reflecting off of him. His hair wet from the sweat he’s gathered. The way his fingers move flawlessly on the guitar. How smooth his voice sounds.
He admires it all.
The show is over before he knows it, another band taking the place of Wilbur’s.
Tommy turns to look at his friend. “Should I text the number?”
Tubbo snacks him across the head. “Of course you should, you idiot!”
Tommy runs a hand over where he was hit. “The hell was that for, asshole!”
Tubbo rolls his eyes. “Just text him already, man!”
“Ok, ok.” He pulls out his phone and the napkin, reading and typing in the number. He makes sure the number is correctly written before calling it.
It ring for not even a second before that smooth voice is talking to him again. “Eager, darling? It hasn’t even been long since the show ended.” He can hear the smugness radiating off of Wilbur.
Tommy isn’t one to not admit things so he agrees. “I just want to see you again.”
“And I the same. Come backstage.” Then in a more deep voice. “I’ll be waiting.”
“Wait!”
“Yes, what is it, love?”
“Can I— uh can I bring my friend with me?” He sees Tubbo brighten, eagerly nodding his head.
He hears Wilbur grumble a little. “Yes, you may.” A pause. “Now hurry, I want you here next to me already.”
They hang up, and this time Tommy grabs Tubbo’s arms tugging him along. He continues walking to where he assumes the backstage entrance is.
Then he’s being pulled by someone who isn’t Tubbo. He yelps, about to yell, but a hand comes up to his mouth, pushing him into someone’s chest, letting go of Tubbo’s hand in the process.
“Calm down, it’s just me.” A voice he recognizes as Wilbur, whispers in his ear, nibbling a little at his ear lobe.
Tommy holds back a moan that threatens to come out. He clears his throat, putting distance between him and Wilbur who frowns at the action. “Wilbur, this is Tubbo. Tubbo, you know him already.”
It’s awkward for a moment. Tubbo is frozen in place, completely thrown off by his best friend getting pinned down by one of his idols.
Tommy places a hand on his friend's shoulder, concern lacing his face. “Tubbo? You okay?”
Wilbur remains watching, jaw clenched, eyes on the hand placed on this ‘Tubbo’ guy’s shoulder. He’ll admit he partially pinned Tommy against him for Tubbo to see, but also because he wanted to feel Tommy against him. He knows he has no right to be jealous. He just met Tommy, but boy is he an angel sent down from heaven.
Tommy is absolutely beautiful, and the way he talks is so expressive. His eyes are a bright, pretty blue color, and his hair. Oh his hair. Such a lovely golden color, with curly hair that he just wants to play with. He wants to tangle his fingers in it, tilt Tommy’s head back, mark him as much as he can. Show him off to everybo-
“Wilbur!” He startles back to see Tommy now in front him, the concerned look now on him instead of ‘Tubbo’. “You alright?”
Wilbur scans around Tommy, noticing Tubbo is no longer here. He cups Tommy’s face with a hand on each side of Tommy’s cheek. He pads a thumbs across, right under Tommy's right eye. “Just perfect.” He presses his lips to Tommy’s.
He can feel Tommy freeze for a moment, and he’s about to pull back thinking he read too much into things, but Tommy grabs the collar of his shirt, pulling him impossibly closer and kissing him back.
Wilbur feels like he’s on cloud fucking nine. Kissing Tommy feels like everything he had imagined, and more. So much more.
The kiss is innocent and sweet, but it quickly starts turning into something more deep and passionate. He moves them so Tommy is against the wall and Wilbur is almost completely covering him with his body.
He bites at Tommy’s bottom lip, and Tommy moans. If that isn’t the sweetest sound Wilbur has ever heard he doesn’t know what is.
He moves a hand to Tommy’s waist, gripping it hard while his other hand moves to the side of Tommy's neck, tightening his grip on it when he slides his tongue into the heat of Tommy’s mouth.
He can taste the martini he bought Tommy earlier in his mouth. He groans in pleasure when one of Tommy’s hands moves to the back of his head and tugs at his brown curls.
“You taste so good.” He murmurs once he pulls back a little from Tommy. He peppers kisses on Tommy’s lips, not being able to get enough. He follows wherever Tommy moves to continue kissing him. “Wanna make you mine.” He growls, his tongue licks at a certain spot on Tommy’s neck, and sucking hard.
Tommy mewls, “Wilbur!” and he wants to hear more of Tommy calling out his name with such pleasure, so he continues sucking more deep red and purple bruises on Tommy’s neck. He pulls back proud of just how visible they are. He kisses them.
“So pretty, such a pretty boy, aren’t you?” He murmurs against Tommy’s neck. “Only for you.” Is Tommy’s response and if that doesn’t make Wilbur dick jump. He kisses Tommy roughly, again keeping his hand around Tommy’s neck. “Fuck— yeah only for me. Only I can kiss you like this.” He’s breathing heavily. “Feel you like this.” He moves his free hand to the curve of Tommy’s ass, and squeezes. “Nobody else. Not even you’re little friend.”
Tommy pulls back, laughing. “You jealous, hot stuff?”
Wilbur pulls him back in by the hold he has on the blonde's neck. “Yes.” He kisses him again, roughly.
Tommy pulls back from the kisses again, Wilbur chasing after his lips. “Calm down, we’re in public.” Tommy jokes, smiling softly.
Wilbur tightens his grip on Tommy’s neck. “Fuck the public. I should be allowed to express myself.”
Tommy rolls his eyes. “Brat.” Wilbur hisses. “Roll your eyes at me again. I dare you.”
Tommy smirks, he leans in and initiates the kiss this time. He feels Wilbur’s demeanor immediately dissolve and melt into the kiss.
Tommy pats his shoulder. “You couldn’t be mean if you tried.”
Wilbur nuzzles his face into Tommy’s neck, mouthing at it. “I could be. You just haven’t seen me in bed.”
Tommy pulls away from Wilbur completely, no longer against the wall, and grimaces. “Ew, I do not want to know about your past adventures.”
Wilbur whines when Tommy is completely out of his hold, and then processes what Tommy said and laughs. “My ‘past adventures’.” Wilbur shakes his head, and grabs Tommy’s hand. “Come on.”
“Where are we going?” Tommy asks, remaining planted in his spot. Wilbur looks back at him. “Everywhere and nowhere.” Is his response.
Tommy raises an eyebrow. “How ominous.” He follows him either way, and then he pauses. “Wait.”
Wilbur groans. “Oh don’t be a baby. I need to text Tubbo.” Wilbur pulls him to his chest, placing his hands on Tommy’s ass and squeezing. “I’m sure he’s fine wherever he is.”
Tommy gives Wilbur a look. Once he’s sure Tubbo is fine and safe he puts his phone back into his pocket.
Wilbur snakes a hand around his waist and leads them out of the pub. It’s quiet now that the loud music isn’t in their ears. “What about your band mates? Should you help them clean up?”
Wilbur kisses his forehead. “Nah, I’m sure they have it handled.”
Tommy squeaks at such a gentle action, feeling Wilbur grin against his skin.
Tommy shoves him away. “Alright, alright, asshole. Quit being sappy.” He says, trying and failing to sound annoyed.
Wilbur reaches for his hand again and grabs it. The man’s thumbs stroking the back of Tommy’s hand. They’re face to face, and Tommy has to fight the urge to break eye contact when Wilbur just continues to look him in the eyes.
It’s quiet for a long moment. Tommy breaks it. “I don’t get it.”
Wilbur furrows his eyebrows. “You don’t get what?”
“What are we doing, Wilbur?”
“Well right now we’re talking.” Wilbur jokes, smiling cheekily.
Tommy sighs, looking down at the ground like it holds the answers he’s looking for. Wilbur’s smile drops.
Cold, slender fingers are placed under Tommy’s chin forcing him to look back up at Wilbur who looks concerned. “Hey, what’s wrong?”
“I don’t— I just— Wilbur what is this?” Tommy gestures between the space that’s separating them.
“What is what?”
Tommy sighs again, frustrated. “This. Us. Where are we going with this? Is this just a one night thing?”
Wilbur drops his hand from where it was holding Tommy’s chin to cup Tommy’s face in his hands. “Tommy, I want to explore this. I want to get to know you. I want to know everything about you. What makes you laugh. What makes you sad. Your favorite food, candy, places—” He takes a deep breath before continuing. “Tommy let me take you out on a date.”
Tommy startles back. “What?” He breathes out.
“Let me show how serious I am about this. I’ve just met you, but Tommy you’ve made me feel things nobody else has made me feel.” Wilbur ducks his head down and kisses Tommy.
It’s chaste. Their mouths move in sync.
They move slowly against one another, savoring the gentleness of the kiss.
Tommy pulls back, resting his forehead against Wilbur’s. “Okay.” He whispers.
“Okay.” Wilbur repeats, planting kisses all around Tommy’s face then kissing him on the lips again.
Tommy almost thinks he’s gonna fall because of how much Wilbur is leaning into his space to kiss him, but Wilbur places his hand on Tommy’s back, pushing him into the brunette.
When they pull away, Wilbur whispers into Tommy’s ear, “You are delectable.”
Tommy’s face flushes red, turning away from Wilbur and walking off.
He hears Wilbur laugh. “Tommy!”
He looks back and sees Wilbur folded over trying to collect himself, it makes him smile.
When Wilbur finally reaches Tommy, he tugs him close telling him about all the things he wants to do tomorrow with him.
Tommy just listens.
This, this is something that can bloom. It’s something he won’t regret, he can feel it.
