"Oh, Lav, it's beautiful!" Rose breathed, reaching out to touch the delicate-looking bracelet. It was woven with a shimmery thread like she had never seen before. "What is this?"
Lavender smiled. Relaxing back against the pillows on their bed, she gave Rose a smug look.
"Unicorn hair."
Rose blinked. "What?"
Running her fingers over the bracelet, she had to wonder whether she had misheard. It wasn't possible to get unicorn hairs, was it? The threads shimmered beneath her fingers, each clearly infused with a lot of magical energy.
"Unicorn hair, Rose. It was woven by a friend of mine."
Reaching out, Lavender slid the bracelet over Rose's wrist. It moved with a smoothness that Rose had never felt before in anything else. Unable to stop smiling, she met Lavender's eyes.
"Thank you."
The words were whispered, and infused with as much love as Rose could manage. It seemed that Lavender understood her, though, as she pulled Rose forward into a soft kiss.
"You're very welcome."
Staring down at the bracelet as they broke apart, Rose had to wonder how she had gotten this lucky. She ran her fingers over it again, watching as it shimmered.
"I'll treasure it forever."
