He was on the school roof, laying on the floor. It was a starry night, but Subaru did not see this in the same way. "It's hopeless." he was saying with empty eyes.
Everything was boring him. He wanted to follows the steps of his father and becoming an idol too, but he lost his motivation, and next, his will to live. If he had the courage, he would have stood up and jumped from where he is, but he was scared about what's happening after life. He was feeling really miserable. He started laughing at himself, calling himself weak, idiot, useless. He was letting himself go, - after all, no one is out there at this hour - until he heard footsteps.
"He's anybody here?" Subaru heard a voice coming around, but he did not answer. He just stopped laughing, he do not want to be seeing like someone crazy. He turned slightly to the side and he saw a familiar silhouette. He recognized his classmate, Hokuto, the guy with whom he represented his class at the Venus Cup. His heart started beating faster for some reason he did not know, but it was feeling nice. He didn't want this to stop.
"Hokke?" he smiled, but his despair was visible miles away. "You were with Hibiki-senpai, right? It's late, y'know?"
Hokuto did not answer but approached him, taking off his jacket, while Subaru sat down properly. The black-haired one put his jacket on the redhead's shoulders. "Idiot Akehoshi. You're really bad at lying." he said while putting a hand on his shoulder. "It will be fine now, we will always be with you." he take a deep breathe before continuing. "We Trickstar are here to listen to you." he knew he was not the best to cheer people up, but his words were sincere.
Hearing these words, Subaru instinctively took Hokuto in his arms. When he realized it, he felt a bit embarassed, but cuddling him like this felt like heaven for him. The black-haired was all red, but he returned his embrace. "Thank you, thank you so much guys... Thank you, Hokke..!" the redhead was sobbing but smiling.
The night was starry for both of them now. Even if his problems are not erased, for the first time for a while, Subaru was happy and full of hope.
