Summary:

Don't disturb a sleeping skeleton. Especially when they are sleep deprived.

Notes:

This is in view of UNDERSWAP! So characters will go by orginal names. Also this is not canon at all. I do not follow a lot of canon facts.

Work Text:

Sans was sleeping in today, he had gotten a particularly bad injury training with Alphys the day before. Even if it was on accident, he still needed some time to recover.

Sans didn't want to sleep in, but his body went against him. He awoke momentarily, blinking around the room. Eye lights hazy, body sore. The blankets and covers just felt so nice.

He hated himself for being lazy about all this. He could be up and running around training. Building his strength, sparring with his bestfriend.

His body just was to sore, a dull pain in his side. Both keeping him in bed, he was a bit to tired to care. He had been also doing a lot of late nights recently. Not getting much sleep at all.

He found himself dozing back off a moment later. Sinking into the folds of the covers. Sighing happily in sweet silence.

Papyrus downstairs was finding it troubling his bro still hadn't gotten out of bed. Sure his side was injured, but that never stopped Sans before.

Oh well, Sans could sleep in for once, he was going to take advantage of it. Being as lazy as possible, he laid back, content with his position on the couch.

Pulling a cigarette out of his pocket, he looked at it. Knowing full well if Sans caught him, he'd be disciplined for sure. Shrugging he held it up to his mandible, lighting it up.

He inhaled slowly, taking it in. He had no lungs so surely it couldn't hurt him. Exhaling the smoke out his mouth, watching it wisp around. Relaxing farther into the cushion of the couch, he was totally content to stay there all day.

Or well... as long as his brothers asleep. He knew Sans would get him up, yelling how he shouldn't be lazy. Papyrus let a smile spread through his face at the thought of his bro.

Papyrus sat there, smoking slowly and relaxing for an hour. That's when he heard the sound of distant pounding, coming ever so closer.

Papyrus sighed, teleporting in front of his house, hands in his orange hood pocket. Alphys in her royal guard armor came barreling over.

"Move over Papyrus! I need to speak with Sans!" Alphys demanded, the reptile monster obviously fuming. Baring fangs and tail lashing.

"Sorry Al, but no can do. My bro is sleeping in remember? From his injury yesterday." He said nonchalantly, hoping to get the captain to leave.

At this, she just seemed to get more angry. Seething she pointed at the tall skeleton. "I found his little bone prank! My window is broken, AGAIN!" She roared. Papyrus stifled a chuckle. Sans had the tendency to break windows when he didn't want to use the door.

"No can do, sorry. I'm going to have to ask you to leave. Don't want to wake him up. He might get grumpy." At this Alphys laughed. A deep grumble of a laugh to. Papyrus didn't find what's so funny. It was a little agitating.

"Oh please spare me. Sans, GRUMPY? That's your best joke yet Papyrus!" Papyrus sighed. So that was why she was laughing at him. At this point he kinda wanted to see Sans show the guard just how grumpy he can be.

"Move over." Alphys pushed her way past Papyrus and through the door. Papyrus grumbled, he was to lazy for this man! He couldn't fight her stubbornness Ethier. He didn't feel like he wanted to put in the effort for that.

Following her inside, he cringed at her loud yelling for Sans to come out his room. Deciding he was going to hide from the wrathfulness of his grumpy brother. Which he's bound to be, Papyrus peaked from the kitchen.

Sure enough a door opened, a short skeleton in pajamas walked down. Looking at the floor, silently approaching.

"There you are! You broke my-..." she stopped in her tracks. The empty look Sans was giving her. Eye lights gone, leaving blank dark eye sockets. It made Alphys slightly uncomfortable seeing her friend make such a face. But she came to scowld him! She was not gonna back down from an expression.

In a voice devoid of emotions, Sans grumbled. "I will pay for a new window. Stop being so loud or get out." Alphys looked at Sans in shock. To be fair, she did just interrupt his much needed sleep.

"That's not enough! I need an apology Sans!" She shouted. Crossing her arms and glaring. The look in her eyes wasn't completely anger. It was also worry for her bestfriend.

"I'm sorry for breaking your window again. Now will you be quiet or leave?" Sans said, clearly not happy with this whole ideal.

The reptile gaurd went to argue, when she was pinged with blue magic. Sans moved her to the couch and went back upstairs. Closing his door.

"Wow that ended a lot better then I thought it would. Be lucky Alphys. That was pure mercy on his part." Papyrus said, edging out of the kitchen.

Alphys herself, sat there shocked. Not only had the little skeleton been in a bad mood from her yelling. But also moved her AND left right after! Despite the urge to run up there and throw him out of bed, she understood he needed sleep.

Sans, the one who was always the sunny one. Making friends and doing his best in his training. Was just very very grumpy. She didn't know what she expected, for him to never be anything but?

Papyrus sat down next to her, leaning back on the cushions. Drinking out a honey bottle. He turned his skull to her "Movie?" He asked.

Alphys grinned, she could just wait for Sans. Picking the movie she wanted to watch, they sat there.

Eventually getting lost in the movie, the sounds thrilling her.
