Work Text:
There was something about Shell Cottage that was so cosy and comforting. Hermione couldn't quite put her finger on exactly what it was, but the very idea of coming home to it spread warmth through her. Of course, she considered as she entered the small living room to see Bill sitting at the desk, a quill stuck behind his ear, it could be the company.
"How's it going?"
Moving up behind him, she draped her arms over his shoulders. He sighed and leant back into the embrace. The quill shifted as Hermione leant forward, trying to see the parchment he was working on.
"Frustrating as it ever is with things like this. You know yourself how annoying paperwork with the Ministry is. Try adding Goblins into the mix."
She smiled. Turning, she brushed her lips across his cheek.
"Well, I'll order some food. Maybe some pizza will make you feel better?"
Bill chuckled. "Yeah, maybe it will."
Hermione watched as he tried to tuck his hair behind his ear and crushed the quill. Shaking her head, she bent to retrieve it from the floor.
"Or do you want to come with me to pick it up? Some fresh air might be better for you."
"Oh, it definitely will," Bill agreed. He swiftly packed up, storing the parchment in the desk drawer. He laced their fingers together as they exited the house. "Being with you doesn't hurt, either."
Hermione could feel her cheeks heating. She raised her face for a quick kiss before they left. She didn't know how much work Bill would be getting done that night, but maybe she could help him relax a little instead.
