Kanda sighs while he bangs on his fiance’s door. “Moyashi, get out already!” he shouts. His plea is met with silence. “I swear to God, I’m going to buy a battering ram if you don’t get your ass out here!” Kanda shouts once more. After a few more seconds of silence, he hears shuffling and the sound of the door lock. “Finally,” Kanda mutters.
Kanda opens the door to find his fiance, Allen, curled up in a makeshift blanket fort. This was a new, but not surprising sight. Allen usually does weird stuff to feel comfortable while avoiding all social interactions. “What are you doing?” Kanda questions. “Go away.” Allen replies. Kanda sighs. He walks over to his brooding moyashi and cuddles with him. Allen tries to escape his embrace. “Seriously, what has you acting up this time?” Kanda asks. Allen grunts and doesn’t say anything. If Kanda didn’t know any better, he’d think Allen was a caveman. On top of that all, he should be the one that replies in grunts and huffs, not Allen.
Allen is quite annoyed by his fiance’s presence. He especially doesn’t want to be around people today because it’s his “Independence From Cross Marian’s House Day”. He hated that man due to his excessive drinking problem, his constant womanizing, and him forcing Allen to gamble for him from the time he was adopted to the time he turned 18. This was the reason his asocial era even started. Talking to people always brought misfortune upon him, so he never does it. He makes his anti-social fiance do the talking.
So now, Allen sits in a cozy spot, annoyed, because he doesn’t want to be around people. He so badly wishes that his fiance knew how to respect boundaries, but what do you expect when you fall in love with someone who locks themselves up in their house all day and doesn’t want to learn proper etiquette.
Due to all of this awkward silence, Kanda is starting to feel even more annoyed. “I made dinner an hour ago, you need to eat, idiot.” he says. “Hn,” Allen responds. Kanda almost wants to scream with how stubborn Allen is being. “Do you really value alone time more than your own fucking health!? When I went on that 5-day trip with Lenalee-” “Okay! Okay! Fine! Fuck you, don’t bring that up anymore! I’ll eat, I’ll eat!” Allen gives in.
Kanda smirks. “Great, see you at the dinner table, Love~. And don’t think about skipping. I will drag you out of here if I have to. You have 5 minutes.” he threatens while standing up. Kanda leaves the room. Allen groans. He hates when Kanda calls him “Love”. It’s one of the ways Kanda mocks him when things don’t go Allen’s way.
After about 5 minutes, the couple are now eating their cold food in silence. Allen hates cold food. “Remember this the next time you don’t want to eat.” Kanda says. “It was just one hour! It’s not like I wouldn’t be eating for the next month or something!” Allen cries. “Excuses, excuses.” Kanda says and shovels some cold and soggy soba into his mouth. Allen groans. He is so going to kick his ass later.
