Four marked off another day on his calendar. “Gee X, it's been nearly two whole years since any new BFDIA episodes have come out!” Four complained, looking at his small yellow buddy. It was only a couple days until the two year anniversary of BFDIA 10 coming out.
“Just be patient Four, people are busy with stuff y’know!” X responded, reading this little guide he had found just laying around at the equation playground. “Sigh.. I know, X, but It’s been TWO YEARS! It’s getting hard to wait! Surely they wouldn’t be busy for that long!” Four exclaimed, a particular look of frustration creeping onto his face.
“Please don’t get mad over this again, it's already happened before..” X groaned, putting down the guide as if they were looking to leave Four alone for a bit. Four huffed at X’s remark before getting a very sudden, very brilliant idea! “I have an idea!” X sighed. “We can host our very own season of BFDI! With the same contestants and everything! Since I know where the show is hosted..” Four puffed out his chest as if he felt righteous for knowing so much about BFDI. “We can get down there and announce our own show! I’ve got a prize in mind too!”
“But Four!” X suddenly exclaimed, a semi nervous expression on his face, “How would you even convince them to join! They might not want to after everything they’ve already done”, They asked with a worried look, “Plus, they ended off in Yoyle City! We can’t know if they’re still there or if they’re in Goiky now! Or even somewhere else!” X felt very unsure of how Four would convince a bunch of random objects to battle for… something??
“I have my ways, good buddy!” Four said with a devious grin, before skipping away to go work on his plan some more, X was very very confused but decided to tag along, just in case he needed support.
Four exited the house, skipping joyously across the Equation Playground to his favorite spot, beneath the tree he found X looking depressed under all those years ago. As he skipped, he passed by Seven, Six, and Five trying to play Go Fish. Seven perked up at the sudden giddy appearance of Four, with X trailing behind him. Pretty much everyone knew Four hadn't been in good spirits for a looong time, as his favorite show appeared to be canceled. Seven hadn’t seen Four skipping in, like, two years!
“Hey Four!” Seven called out, pulling the other’s attention to Four as well. “Yeah, buddy?” Four said, not being sour to the dark number for once. “What’s got you so happy? Did that B..D..F……I….? Show.. finally get another episode?” Seven asked.
Four made a grumpy face at him. “It’s BFDI! And unfortunately there’s been no new news on it.. But! I've got a brilliant idea!” Four beamed. “Is it as smart as the time you managed to tear off one of X’s limbs by roughhousing with him too hard? Cuz I remember you saying you had a brilliant idea before that happened.” Five suddenly chimed in, looking frustrated by the fact neither of the others seemed interested in figuring out how to play Go Fish anymore. “grr” Four grumbled. “No! It’s way better this time! Not that you can prove I ever said that!” They all suddenly heard wheels skidding across the grass towards them.
“Yo yo my brosephs!” Nine’s skateboard screeched to a halt as he stopped to see the commotion. “What’s up over here? What’s got Four’s panties in a twist?” Nine asked with his usual cool-guy grin on his face. A faint “What?” could be heard from Five momentarily before they were cut off.
“Well I was just being heckled on my genius idea!” Four placed his hands on his hips as he complained. “Yeah, an idea you haven’t even told us yet!” Six spoke up. Four snapped into a neutral position, an awkwardly blank expression coming over his face. “Oh. Yeah. Well my idea is to host my very own season of Battle for Dream Island! If that speaker box isn’t going to continue, I…” Four trailed off, hearing giggles start to arise from his fellow numerals. “Hey! What are you guys laughing about?!” Four balled up his fists in a frustrated expression.
“Oh, nothing, nothing!” Five said between giggles, trying to calm their chuckles. Four glared at them. Seven spoke up, “Well, Four, it’s just, how could you ever expect to be able to host your own show?! You have no organization skills!” Seven blurted out, losing his already thin filter. “Grr..” Four held out his hand, Seven lifting up and into his palm, his giggling amalgamating into screaming as he became a mess of shapes and lines as a nice harp tune played! What was left of him soon plopped onto the ground as the harp strums concluded. Four’s demeanor changed as he snapped into a pose with his chest out and his hands on his hips, a smile now illuminating his face. “Well, see you guys later! I’m off to plan!” Four exclaimed, continuing his joyous skipping past the group of numbers.
X stood next to where Four was moments before, silent, straight faced, and now with all eyes on him since Four had left. He looked back and forth to Four’s direction and forward a couple times. “Oh!” He softly exclaimed. “I gotta go now.. Cya!” X waved as he scurried away from the group to follow Four, his face still blank.
