"Wait! Uma just wait a second!" Harry called running after Uma
"I can't, Harry there's no time!" Uma called back not daring to turn around to look at him because she knew it she did, she would have second thoughts
"Uma you don't even have a plan. You could get hurt. I just don't see why I can't go with you!" Harry said
Uma shook her head picking up her pace "I really just need you to trust me on this Harry"
"I do trust you, but this feels dangerous" Harry said speeding up
"That's never stopped me before, Harry I need to do this. For us!" Uma screamed
"Can't we just talk about it!" Harry said running a hand through his hair
"There's no time, they're leaving, the barrier will close" Uma said, shaking her head
There it was. There was the limo approaching the barrier. This was her exit. This was her chance.
But she hesitated. Because of that soft hand that caressed her shoulder.
"Uma" Harry said softly
She couldn't avoid him anymore. She couldn't live with herself if she didn't at least say goodbye.
She turned to face him "Harry, you have to understand-"
"Don't leave" he pleaded
"This is our chance" Uma said
"We'll figure something else out" He told her
"No-"
"Uma if you go, it'll be you against the whole world. Just you."
He was right, but she had to try
"I can do it" she promised
"Please don't go Uma!" he pleaded
Uma glanced behind her, the barrier was open
"I'm sorry Harry, I have to go" she said already starting to walk away from him "I'll be back before you know it, I promise"
He knew he couldn't change her mind. So he watched her leave. All he could do now was have faith in her, but deep down he knew it was too big of a task for one person.
And he was right, she broke her promise
It felt like deja vu. CJ has broken her promise once too. She left him too. Maybe it was just something about Harry.
Why did she have to go? Why was Harry alone? Was Uma okay? There were too many questions and no answers. And that scared Harry more than anything.
