Work Text:
Chapter Two, The Back Gardens Iferia sat in front of her vanity, combing out her curly hair. Tying her hair up into one large poof, with a pink silk ribbon.
Je te laisserai des mots
Just as she had finished tying a matching pink ribbon onto her small snow-white bunny. A small folded paper slipped its way underneath her door.
En-dessous de les murs qui chantent
She picked up the small note, plopping down next to her bunny. Humming softly while reading the note. A gentle smile appeared on her face.
Iferia set out through the castle. voiding every guard as much as possible. Hiding behind marble pillars, and silk curtains.
She wasn't supposed to leave the castle grounds without her parent's explicit permission. They loved her of course, though they could be overbearing at times.
Tout près de la place.Ou tes pieds passent
Iferia finally made it out of the castle. She savored every moment of her exposure to the outdoors.
She checked the note once again, examining every curve, and stroke of the handwriting. She sighed and headed out towards the back gardens.
Cachés dans les trous do ton divan
Iferia strolled through the back gardens. Stopping to smell the flowers every so often. Touch-Me-Nots, Petunias, Tulips, and so much more. All in their own alluring shades of pink.
Et quand tu es seule pendent un instant
Iferia sat next to Arian on the grass. She sat humming a soft tune, leaning her head against Arian's shoulder.
Ramasse-moi Quand tu voudras
They sat together, fingers intertwined. A princess and her knight in shining armor. They sat there for hours. making small conversations about anything, and everything.
Ramasse-moi Quand tu voudras
Arian placed a gentle kiss on Iferia's head as she slowly drifted off to sleep. Humming the remainder of the song.
Ramasse-moi Quand tu voudras
Iferia awoke in her bed, confused as ever. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. She looked around, questioning her whereabouts.
Eventually realising, that the little garden date with Arian, was nothing more than a dream.
The realisation that everything she had just experienced was a dream, was enough to keep her up for another hour.
She eventually willed herself out of bed, she then picked her bunny up off of the pillow next to her choosing to take him with her as protection. She grabbed a small candle, and lit it.
She ventured through the hallways of the unfamiliar castle. Bunny in one hand and a candle in the other. In time she found the room she was looking for.
The door had the name 'Lorevi' embellished upon the wood, in big gold and green lettering, with a white accent of course.
She knocked on the door exactly six times. Almost immediately the door opened, revealing a sleep-deprived Lorevi.
"What are you doing up so late?" Lorevi asked, yawning softly. Lorevi's little fox had awoken as well and sat on the floor staring up, longingly at Iferia's bunny.
"I could ask you the same thing." Iferia responded, "I had a nightmare" She placed her bunny down on the floor watching as the bunny, hopped away after the little fox.
Lorevi looked Iferia up and down for a moment.
"Alright, come in." Lorevi sighed, moving out of the doorway to allow Iferia into their room.
