Chapter Text

Archie's POV

 I was sitting at my bedroom desk, drumming my fingers on the wooden surface on a starry night, at my house. I was getting very bored and started to sigh deeply

Hi there! I'm Archie Julian Bloodgood, but most people call me AJ. I've been friends with Eli since we were kids, and eventually, we became more than just friends, we became lovers. Our families were supportive of our relationship, which made me really happy. However, I recently learned that Eli's dad, Will Shane, is missing in Slugterra. He was fighting a dangerous enemy when he disappeared, and we're all worried about him.

The anxiety of worrying about Eli and Will increased as I started to shake a bit. I have bad anxiety when it comes to not hearing any news from someone in months or years. I dropped the pencil that I was holding and got up from my desk, pacing back and forth. I looked at myself in my body-sized mirror

There I was, with my beautiful blood-red hair, red eyes with cat-like pupils, middle-sized nose with a nose ring, elf-like ears, attractive face (as usual), and cute freckles. 

I looked at the outfit I chose today, cause I was feeling very adventurous today. I had a tank top that stopped at my stomach, a short jacket, elbow-long unattachable sleeve, fingerless gloves, short pants with a pant cape that reached to my legs, and boots

"Oh, man, someone feels a bit adventurous today," I said to myself. "I look beautiful, don't I?"

I was playing around with my hair a bit until I got a strange company coming from my window. I froze and slowly turned around to see a small little slug, who was blue, had one eye, and small wings. I stared at it in awe and cuteness. 

"Aww, aren't you a cutie?" I said as I stared more at the thing. 

The slug then started to fly over to me, which shocked me. It was flying around me and then landing on my shoulder. 

"Oh, hello there," 

I used my finger to gently pet the little slug. The slug loved it and rubbed its head against my finger. My heart melted as I saw how cute the slug was

"Why did you come all the way to the surface world, little guy?" I asked the slug

The slug was chirping at me, telling me a message from somebody. I nodded my head and listened. People call me crazy when I start to understand slugs or animals. It's a power I have, I guess

"Wait, you're telling me that Eli is still down there in Slugterra and now, he might be in trouble?" 

The slug nodded its head in response. My eyes widened in shock as I started to panic. I was now getting really worried and protective at this point. 

"Well, what are we waiting for, little guy?! I need to help my boyfriend!" 

I grabbed my backpack, which was large enough to carry as many items as I needed. I started to place my clothing, shoes, pencil case, notebook, tablet, phone, charger, and some other shit that I threw in

"Archie, what's all of the wreckage going on in there?!" A male voice asked, walking over to my bedroom. 

I paused from what I was doing and looked up to see my father, Simon, seeing me packing my things up in my bag. There was a long silence until Simon broke it

"What in hell's name are you doing?" Simon asked

"Dad, this little fella right here told me that Eli might be in danger," I explained to my father, pointing to the slug. "I have to go down there and help him!"

Simon looks at me for a bit before nodding his head in understatement. My father always lets me leave the house when things are getting out of hand, as in right now

"Still no news from Eli?" He asked. "Is that the reason?"

I nodded my head, getting a bit anxious. Simon hummed and sighed to himself

"Alright, you can go, just be careful, son. I don't want to lose you or The Shane family," 

"Don't worry, father. I'll be fine," I said with a smile on my face. 

Simon smiled back as I put my backpack on my shoulders and the slug flew away so that it wouldn't be squished by the handles. It flew back down to my left shoulder. I left my room as I closed it behind. Simon hugged me as I hugged him back. He let go as I started walking down the stairs and to the front door. I opened it and closed it, looking back at my house one last time before going to Slugterra. 

"Okay, do you know where the drop-down that leads to Slugterra is?" I asked the slug who was now flying beside me. 

The slug nodded its head as it started to fly over to the sewer lid. I sighed and opened it with my bare hands. It opened as I held it with one hand to me and the slug went down. As we were both at the sewers, I closed the lid and landed on the ground. 

We were searching until I paused and saw a hole that was right in front of me. The slug started to go through a fast speed, out of the room where I was. I was raising an eyebrow, looking a bit confused until I saw the slug back, but, it was in its velocimorph, using its feet to grab my shoulders and dropping me down to the hole

"HOLY SHIT!" I cried as I felt the pressure of the wind hitting my face and the force that the slug was using to bring me down to Slugterra. After a few minutes go by, we left the hole and were now in the world of Slugterra. I was in awe at the beauty and bright colors of the underworld. 

The slug landed me on the ground as it turned back to its protoform, landing on my shoulder. I smiled and patted it on the head with my finger. I pulled out my little notebook and pencil and wrote down the information on the slug

Information:

These slugs are known for flying, even when their in protoform. They even use their own speed to turn themselves into their velocimorph, which is where they start attacking opponents without the use of a weapon

I smiled brightly as I placed my notebook and pencil away and started to walk. I know Eli's out there and I just need to help him, even if he doesn't need any. 

"Don't worry, Eli. I'm coming for you," I said with encouragement

As I walked on foot, I could feel my legs giving out. The world of Slugterra is breathtakingly beautiful and unlike anything I've ever seen before. For adventurous hikers, it's a dream come true.

I paused in my tracks when I heard some footsteps coming. I quietly gasped and hid behind a giant mushroom. I took a sneaky peek to see men, wearing armor on them. They were holding blasters in their hands, looking around for something or someone. Their outfits contain dark suits and red visors that cover their eyes

"Hey! We gotta get going! We need to go to the King of Sling's castle and battle him so that Blakk can own his castle for good!" One guard said to the others

"Yeah! Within minutes, he'll become the King of Sling!" A second guard said with excitement.

"Come on, y'all! We gotta be there before we miss the exciting event!" A third guard said as he started leading the way

The other two guards smiled brightly as they started following along with the third guard. I stood there with my eyes widened in horror as I came out of hiding. Why would an evil man try to take someone else's property over battling? I just don't get it, honestly

I felt somebody touching my shoulder as I yelped in fright, and so did my little slug friend as well. The person that touched me was a female who was the same age as me, but, slightly older. She had elf-like ears, meaning that she was an elf. She had gorgeous golden blond hair, baby blue eyes, and tan skin.

She had the same outfit as I did, but, it was orange and light orange. Mine's crimson and light red.

"Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to frighten you!" The female said, backing up a bit in fear

"Please, don't do that," I said, placing a hand on my chest

"I'm sorry!"

"It's fine, Calm your horses,"

The female smiled and sighed in relief, looking me in the eyes. She gave her hand out as I shook it, also with a bright smile on my face

"My name is Ochaco Saki, but, people just call me Saki for the sake of it," Saki introduced herself to me

"My name is Archie Julian Bloodmoon, but, people call me AJ for short," I introduced myself to Saki

"Wait, I love your full name! It's so cool!"

"Aww, shucks! Thanks, girlie!"

"You're welcome! So, what brings you here?"

"I'm here to search for my boyfriend, Eli Shane. He always tells me to give me the news when he enters Slugterra, but, it's been a while now and I kinda got worried and came down here to help him,"

"Oh, that's understandable. Yeah, I can show you where he is!" 

"Really?! Okay, thank you! Because I heard some guards saying that they're going to The King of Sling's castle and let Dr. Blakk take over it,"

Saki's eyes widened in shock as she heard what I said that came out of my mouth. She quickly grabbed my hand and started to drag me

"Shit! We need to get there before Dr. Blakk murders The King of Sling and takes over his castle!" Saki cried as we started to run

"HE'S GOING TO MURDER THE KING?!" I cried out in shock

"Yes, if we don't get there in time!"

"Wait, we need a quicker way to get there! It'll take longer if we walk on foot!"

"Right! You have your Hoverbug, correct?"

I stood there, raising an eyebrow as I looked at my little slug friend, who also looked at me the same way. Saki smacked her forehead and pointed to the slug

"That's a Hoverbug! She can take us there!" Saki said to me and the slug

"Oooh! So, that's the name of the little girl. Alright, think you can fly super fast to go to your awesome mode?" I asked the Hoverbug

"Actually, it's called a Velocimorph, but, okay," 

The Hoverbug nodded her head as she flew off of my shoulder and flew away to get to her velocimorph. A few seconds later, the Hoverbug came back in its velocimorph. Saki then grabbed my ankles as the Hoverbug latched her feet onto my hands as we both flew up in the air to get to our location

"DON'T WORRY, YOUR HONOR!" I yelled out. "WE'LL SAVE YOU FROM BLAKK!"
