Kim Dokja sat on Joonghyuk's bed, phone in hand. It was opened to another one of his webnovels, but he wasn't actually paying any attention to it. He watched Yoo Joonghyuk as he set up his stream on his computer, bored.
When Joonghyuk finished setting up and was soon about to start, Kim Dokja got out of bed.
“Joonghyuk-ah,” Kim Dokja started.
Joonghyuk gave him a questioning look.
“Can I play with you?”
“I'm about to stream.”
“I know,” Kim Dokja said. “But I still want to play with you.” He'd deny it, but Dokja was almost pouting.
Joonghyuk thought about it. “If you play Apex.”
Kim Dokja cringed internally. Dokja was terrible at Apex Legends, or any first-person shooter, and they both knew it.
But Kim Dokja was bored and craving attention from his boyfriend, so he agreed.
In response, Joonghyuk grabbed Dokja and deposited him in his lap. Dokja let out a yelp. “Joonghyuk-ah! I was going to grab a chair…”
Joonghyuk hummed, uncaring. “This is better.”
Dokja rolled his eyes and shifted, getting himself comfortable in his boyfriend's lap. Joonghyuk handed him his own controller, which was hooked up to his computer. Joonghyuk’s arms wrapped around Dokja’s waist as he held his own controller in Dokja’s lap.
Joonghyuk started his stream, making sure his webcam was off. He's streamed with Dokja before, but they both preferred if Dokja’s face wasn't shown on camera. The chat was happy with just his voice.
Yoo Joonghyuk, also known as Supreme King to his fans, doesn't interact with his chat often. As such, he doesn't greet them whenever he starts, but Dokja likes to.
“Hi chat!” Dokja said enthusiastically into Joonghyuk’s mic.
The chat went wild.

Kim Dokja’s name was never revealed to the chat, as per his request, so the chat very lovingly nicknamed him bf-nim (short for boyfriend-nim). Dokja being a part of the stream is rare, so the chat goes crazy every time he makes an appearance. Sometimes Yoo Joonghyuk thinks they like Dokja more than him.
Dokja chuckled. “Thank you, chat. Today, I'm playing Apex with Joonghyuk-ah!”
Joonghyuk grunted in agreement.

Yoo Joonghyuk sets up Apex Legends on his computer and they start a random online match.
Kim Dokja knows more about the lore of the playable characters than what they actually do. (Did you know that Revenant killed Loba’s parents? In front of her! …That feels too familiar to Kim Dokja.) So he chose the character that he knows best: Wraith.
The game started with Dokja as the jumpmaster, which he immediately relinquished to one of his other teammates.

Kim Dokja huffed, seeing the message.
The teammate chose a spot to drop at, and they all got to looting. Unfortunately, there was another team that dropped in the same spot as them.
Dokja barely got to do anything before he was downed and his team was subsequently wiped out.
Game 1 end.
Game 2 lasted a little bit longer, but mainly because Dokja’s team didn't run into anyone until later in the game. As soon as they did, they were wiped.
Game 3 ended quickly, similar to game 1.
Game 4 was the first game where they were able to actually finish off a team, mainly because Dokja got paired with an actual good player. They carried the team until they came across a team that was a little bit too good for that one player, and they were wiped.

As hard as he tried, Kim Dokja never made it far in the game before dying. Games went by quickly as he struggled to get any kills.
Eventually, Dokja huffed, setting down the controller.
“I can't. It's too hard.”
“It's not that hard.”
“Yes it is! We aren't all gamer gods like you.”
“You're not doing that bad.”
“Don't patronize me.”
Joonghyuk chuckled, the deep sound never failing to send shivers down Dokja's spine.

Yoo Joonghyuk, as a “professional streamer” has multiple monitors and computers, allowing him to play the same game as Dokja while in the same room.
Yoo Joonghyuk logged into his own account on Apex Legends, and they both created a party.
As one would expect, Joonghyuk absolutely carried Dokja. No team stood a chance against Yoo Joonghyuk's might, allowing Dokja to do absolutely nothing. Except die sometimes.
“Honeyyyyy, they just killed me.”
“I'll get them for you, babe.”
“Beat em up for me.”

“Babe. You ran right into that.”
“It's not my fault I didn't see them!”
“...”
“Don't give me that look!”
“...”
“I'm bad at the game, ok?!”
“...”
“Did you just snort? Are you seeing this, chat? He's making fun of me.”
“I am not making fun of you.”
“Liar.”
“I revived you.”
“Oh-”
Even with Dokja dragging the team down (and the third random player didn't do much either), Joonghyuk still managed to carry them to victory.
Dokja snorted. “Of course you won on the first game.”
“You're just bad.”
“Oh so now you actually admit I'm bad.”
“...”
That was not the only win. Most of the games they played resulted in a victory, thanks entirely to Yoo Joonghyuk. Joonghyuk is truly too good at the game.
“You're too good. I barely even get to do anything” Kim Dokja pouts.
Yoo Joonghyuk didn't say anything, but Kim Dokja could tell he wanted to say something about how bad Dokja is at the game.
Suddenly, Dokja got an idea. He turned around to Joonghyuk, an excited look on his face.
Yoo Joonghyuk raised a quizzical eyebrow at him.
“Joonghyuk-ah. Play Minecraft with me.”
“No.”
“Please??”
“No.”

Yoo Joonghyuk sighed. “Fine.”
Dokja and the chat cheered.
Dokja excitedly set up Minecraft, starting a new survival world. Minecraft is the type of game Kim Dokja likes most, as well as Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. Not counting story-based games like Undertale…
Of course Joonghyuk didn't have a custom skin, so he just used the default Steve skin. Dokja was very proud of his skin that he created himself, which featured black hair, a long white coat, and red horns.
They both spawned in an oak forest. Kim Dokja immediately got to work chopping down trees. Joonghyuk just stared at him, so Dokja told his boyfriend to gather wood, too. After Dokja deemed he had enough wood, he gave Yoo Joonghyuk a sword and a pickaxe and told him to go mine cobblestone and any ore he found. While he was doing that, Dokja gathered food and made a wood house.
As expected, Joonghyuk was freakishly good at killing any mobs he found. However, he still had no idea how to actually play the game and would frequently ask Kim Dokja questions.
“What is this?”
“That's iron ore. Very useful, gather any you see.”
“What is this?”
“That's… Copper… Don't worry about it, it's pretty useless.”
“The pickaxe broke.”
“Make a new one.”
“How.”
“Do you really know that little about Minecraft?”
“...”
“Craft a crafting table using 4 wood planks. Put it down and craft sticks using two wood planks. Use that to craft a pickaxe using 3 cobblestone. The recipes are on the side.”
“...What is a wood plank.”
“...”
“...”
“...1 wood log is 4 wood planks.”
Eventually, Yoo Joonghyuk came out of the mines with a pretty good haul. Kim Dokja was finished with the small house he built for the two of them. He set up some chests with some organization (no way he's going to throw everything into the same chest) and crafted two beds. He gave one to Yoo Joonghyuk to set down, and then made a show of setting his own bed down right next to his. The chat went wild as he crouched and uncrouched repeatedly in front of his boyfriend while he stared. Joonghyuk was not amused.
Unfortunately, in the time Joonghyuk took in the mines, neither of them slept. Which meant the world was infested with creepers and mobs hiding in the trees. Dokja tried to cut down more wood for the both of them, but as soon as he went into the forest, he was ambushed by two skeletons hiding in the trees. He used the trees for protection while he dealt with them, and was able to get rid of one of the skeletons until he encountered a creeper while trying to deal with the other one.

Kim Dokja finally managed to get his stuff back while also killing the skeleton in revenge. Unfortunately, he doesn't have enough dirt to fill up the hole the creeper made. He's always hated leaving craters from creepers…
He sighs, gathering up dirt from other places to fill the hole. He's not having any holes on his land, no no.
“How far should we go?” Dokja asked.
“...”
“Shall we beat the Ender Dragon?” Dokja grinned cheekily.
“No.”
“Come on, Joonghyuk-ah. Aren't you a gamer god? Surely we'll be able to defeat him?”
“Have you ever beaten the Ender Dragon?”
“...Touché.”
“Chat, what do you think?” Kim Dokja said.

“How do we find diamonds?”
“The best way is to find a really big cave. Exploring deep enough into those usually leads to some diamonds.”
Joonghyuk grunted in affirmation, so after Kim Dokja gave Joonghyuk a small tutorial on how to smelt items, they gathered materials to head out. Dokja made an iron sword, iron pickaxe, and shield for both himself and Joonghyuk. Joonghyuk got an iron helmet while Dokja got a chestplate. He figures he needs it more.
Giant caves aren't hard to find nowadays in Minecraft, now that giant craters are common. Dokja remembers a time when you had to go down small holes and hoped it was a big enough cave system to have diamonds. Usually, they weren't.
After a little bit of exploration, they both came upon a giant crater. It was insanely deep, filled with lava and mobs. Dokja and Joonghyuk slowly made their way down into the cave. They found iron, coal, and gold while exploring. Dokja set down torches as they went while Joonghyuk was tasked with keeping any mobs away.
As they were exploring, Dokja heard Joonghyuk say, “What's this?”
Dokja moved to where Joonghyuk was, finding what looked like greenish-blue moss on the ground.
“Skulk. I'd steer clear of it.”
Joonghyuk hummed in affirmation.
“...”
“...”
“OH SHI-”
[DKOS51 has been slain by the Warden]
“...?”
Dokja sighed. “Just… Steer clear of the skulk. Get away from it. Not even you can defeat a warden.”
“Is that a challenge?”
“No, it is most certainly not a challenge. Don't even try. I'm sure you can defeat it if you had a little more armor than an iron helmet.”
“...Fine.”
Dokja’s stuff was abandoned. No way was he going to try to get that stuff back from a warden. Joonghyuk came out of the caves to smelt the ore he collected and get new stuff for Dokja before they went back into the caves. They went even deeper, staying clear of any skulk, and subsequently the warden. They even found an amethyst geode. Dokja has always loved the pretty sounds amethyst makes in Minecraft.
After going deep into the caves, they finally found diamonds.
…After Joonghyuk accidentally walked over it.
Dokja’s fault for forgetting to tell Joonghyuk what it looked like.
“Joonghyuk! Joonghyuk-ah! This is it, diamonds!”
“Oh.”
“What do you mean, ‘oh’?”
“...I’ve seen those before.”
“...What?”
Well, at least the vein had 6 diamonds in it. Pretty decent, considering it could have been just 1.
After collecting the diamonds, they both made it safely back to the surface and to the house Dokja made.
“Well, chat, we found diamonds. We have been streaming for quite a while… I guess this is it–”
“Babe.”
“Yes, honey?”
Joonghyuk moved his character in front of Dokja and dropped something on the ground.
“...Did you just give me a flower?”
“Yes.”
Dokja picked up the blue cornflower, switching it over to his offhand.
“Awwww, thank you!”
Dokja made sure to turn around and give Joonghyuk a kiss on the cheek. “Well, that's it, chat! Thank you for joining in! Goodbye!!”
Dokja watched the “bye”’s in the chat before Joonghyuk turned off the stream.
Dokja turned himself around so he was facing Joonghyuk, while still sitting in his lap. His arms came up around Joonghyuk’s neck while his boyfriend’s arms rested on his hips.
Joonghyuk kissed him. “Did you enjoy crashing my stream?”
Dokja simply hummed in affirmation before kissing Joonghyuk again.
Joonghyuk chuckled his deep chuckle again. “Still not satisfied?”
Dokja pretended to think before grinning at Joonghyuk. “Not yet. Can't you show me more, babe?”
One of Joonghyuk’s hands came up to cradle Dokja’s head as he deeply kissed into Dokja’s mouth.
Dokja laughed, enjoying the feeling of being with his boyfriend.
