Chapter Text
Tiana needed something new. She had already started and maintained her extremely successful business in New Orleans and just felt like she had something missing.
She was with Naveen for the past few months and what wasteful months they were. Naveen… the words she could say about that man, not many of them good unfortunately. She stuck with Naveen after the whole frog fiasco and even married that man but damn damn damn was that man full of himself. Tiana felt stupid for thinking that a man like Naveen could change completely. Just because she works at a restaurant DOES NOT MEAN THAT HE CAN LIE AROUND AND WAIT FOR MEALS!
That was all the past now and Tiana never liked to think about the severe details between her and Naveen, even thinking if that man made her shudder.
“Konichiwa!”
Tiana was brought out of her deep thinking and was finally aware of her surroundings. She felt this was the something new she needed. A new country! I mean, how newer could you get!
“Oh hi.. Ma’am? I uh, booked a room under the name Tiana? umm I just came here to stay for the week”
Thankfully, despite being in a country that felt like the complete opposite of the states, the woman understood completely what she was saying, Tiana was so glad that this process could not have gone any easier it seems
“Yes Tiana! We do have you down for room 109 but, oh no, I’m so so sorry but it seems we have booked two people under that room there must have- huh okay- no it’s ok we can get this fixed? hold on”
What was Tiana saying so glad this process could not have gone any easier.. Damn Tiana for even thinking that this could have gone smooth, nothing is ever smooth! she runs a goddamn restaurant for Christ’s sake. What was she do now?! Share a room with a goddamn stranger! She should’ve bought Charlotte, she would’ve known what to do, but damn it Tiana didn’t wanna bother her too much.
“Oh ok, no it’s not big issue don’t worry” Tiana tried to laugh off but God, and she didn’t like to use the lords name in vain but, did it feel like she was about sink into this floor and wake up in bed back in the states as if this was some weird extremely realistic and long dream.
“Right I am back and um the upside is the room booked for you has 2 beds so you could sleep in separate beds otherwise we actually have no more rooms available, as you know, holiday season!” The poor assistants voice sounded strained as if this situation was not ideal for her also.
Tiana could go to another hotel but gosh darn would it be such a hassle to have to not only look for a close by hotel but also ones with available rooms.
“I mean, the other person might not even be guaranteed staying?” Tiana’s voice sounded extremely hopeful for a situation as dim as the cloudy nights in a winters day in New Orleans.
“That’s the thing ma’am, he’s already checked in so…” The woman trailed off
“That’s just great!”
