Chapter Text
After a long stream, Shu laid down on bed. He turned to reach his drawer and pulled out a few items, a penguin plush, pacifier and a tv remote. Shu lazily walked towards his cupboard and pulled out an oversized hoodie that Ike gave him, then walked television in his room and turned it on. He then walked back to his bed.
He covered himself in a large blanket that Luca had gifted to him for a birthday gift. Shu scrolled through the television channels then paused at the Disney Jr. channel. Shu puts on the oversized hoodie and slips the pacifier into his mouth while clutching onto the penguin plush. He let out a few quiet giggles as he watched the cartoons. He hears the rest of the boys outside, especially Mysta. He was screaming the word “POG!” over and over again as he lost a bet to Luca.
Shu reached over to his coffee table to grab a bottle of mineral water, as he was getting thirsty. Right as he reached the bottle, his door bursted open, and there stood a confused Vox Akuma. Luca was behind Vox, looking confused as well. “Shu?” Luca asked. Shu hurriedly removed the pacifier from his mouth and paused the television as he stared back at the two. He felt like bursting into tears. “Frick.. I forgot to lock the door..” he thought as he looked down. Shu looks back up and asks “Uhh.. you didn’t see anything right?-“. “Well..” Vox said as he slowly walked towards Shu. Shu tightly held onto the penguin plush. Luca walked into the room and closed the door, turned to look at the tv and quietly asks “Shu, why do you have cartoons on?”. Shu remained silent while looking down, as tears flowed out of his eyes.
Luca noticed and sat beside Shu, while gently patting his back. Shu reached his hands out and tightly hugs Luca. “Shh.. it’s okay, I’ve got you” Luca quietly says, as he hugs Shu. Vox was standing beside the door, sighing as he asked, “Shu, are you an age regressor?” Shu looks up at Vox and slightly nods. Luca turns to look at Vox and asks “What’s that?”. Vox smirks at him, and replies “How about you get Shu to explain, I gotta do something”. Luca pouts “Finee”. Vox waves his hand at Shu as he opens the door and walks out, shutting the door behind him.
“Sooo.. what’s age regression?” Luca asks. Shu wipes his face and explains, “Well- it’s kinda like a coping mechanism that sets a person’s mindset to the mindset of a child..”. Luca remains silent as he listens to Shu’s explanation. When Shu finishes, he looks up at Luca and sees him smiling. “That’s so cute! Why don’t you regress in front of us though?”.
“Well- it’s kinda embarrassing and weird-“ Shu looks away and sniffles. “Shu look at me,” Luca says. Shu doesn’t move an inch. Luca sighs and says “Little one, please look at me”. Shu immediately turns to look at Luca. “Its your coping mechanism right?” Luca asks and Shu nods. “There’s nothing to be embarrassed about, and it’s not weird at all!” Luca says while gently patting Shu’s back. “Thanks Luca” Shu replies. “No problem, my little penguin” Luca says and he gently pinches Shu’s cheeks. “I- Don’t call me that!” Shu says as his face turns red. Luca laughs “Alright alright, Shubert”. Shu smiles at Luca and snuggles up against him.

After a while, Shu falls asleep after playing games with Luca. Luca carries him to his bed and tucks him in, then lays beside him. “Good night, my sweet little penguin”
