Chapter Text
It's just another wonderful day in the neighborhood. The sun is shining and most of the neighbors are out playing.
Though not Wally as he sits under his favourite tree, painting something new. Something from his dream…an hourglass. The gold glow it held in his dreams was so vivid that he still sees it now.
One of the neighbors calls out to him and Wally waves at them. That same smile is present on his face as he turns back to his painting. Adding little gold specks to the surroundings around the hourglass. The image captivates him the same way it did in his dream.
Why does this dream have such an effect on him…, It's the first dream he’s ever had & It holds nothing but mystery. Nobody else in the neighborhood can dream..including him so why..?
He loses track of time as every neighbor heads back to their house’s for the night. He stares up at the sky then back to the painting. He should start heading back to Home before It starts to get worried.
Grabbing a hold of the painting and his supplies, he starts to head back towards Home.
He stops suddenly, a glow in the distance capturing his attention. Home then lets out a few frantic creaks that brings Wally’s attention back to It. “...𝘏𝘰𝘮𝘦..? ..𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥..?” All Home does is open its front door. Urging Wally inside.
Wally then heads inside, worrying ever so slightly about Home’s distress.
He tries to question Home again but It just kept avoiding the question. Wally decided on not pushing It anymore and wishing Home goodnight as he headed to bed.
Laying down in bed, sleeping mask over his eyes as he relaxes. “..𝘐'𝘮 𝘴𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨..𝘐’𝘮 𝘴𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨…𝘐'𝘮 𝘴𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨..𝘪’𝘮..” Wally falls asleep.
He opens his eyes to the same dream he had the previous night, the same hour glass in the distance. It instantly captures his attention once again.
Wally starts to head over to the hourglass, in some sort of trance from staring at it.
Desperate creaks that sound like Home start to fill his dream but it doesnt stop him from approaching the hourglass. He reaches out & the hourglass starts glowing.
More distressed creaks fill the air as he reaches out. Finally he makes contact with the hourglass & a bright golden light fills the room, blinding him. He then wakes up.
Taking off his sleeping mask, expecting to wake up in his bed only to find himself in what seems to be a desert of clouds & golden sand which flows through the air. Small creaks can be heard next to him and he finds the same hourglass.
Picking it up and examining it. Another creak is heard and he turns his head back down to see a smaller version of Home, basically pocket size now. “..𝘏𝘰𝘮𝘦?” Wally picks up Home and it creaks in confusion and distress. “..𝘕𝘰…𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘮𝘦..”
Wally stands up with Home and the hourglass in hand, looking around once again.
….Where is he?
