Honestly, it was meant to be just a simple trip to the shops as tails needed some new parts for his new experiment and Sonic just wanted a chilli dog but of course Eggman just had to ruin it.
The roof of the mall came crashing down, Eggman fly's in with his robots. The robots swarming around Sonic and Tails.
Sonic goes straight into action, speeding towards the robots, managing to knock them down one after one. As he was about to hit Eggman, a robot the size of a house came crashing down into the mall and grabbed sonic, throwing him into a wall.
Tails went to fly towards Sonic to go see if he's okay when a red blur goes speeding past him and hits the robot straight in the middle but all the robot did was reach and grab Shadow, not even fazed by the ultimate life form's attempt to knock it over. The robot then revealed a gun with a glowing blue light, shadow could feel chaos energy building up in it.
Sonic had just recovered from the crash into the wall and tried to run and hit the robot again. To just find himself back in the robot's hand
"Wow, great idea faker." Shadow scoffs at sonic, who just rolled his eyes, "why don't you just chaos control out of here then." Shadow then turns his head towards the robot, "I can't." Sonic stared at shadow then turned his to the robot who was now pointing the gun straight at the two hedgehogs.
"Oh, that's not good." Sonic starts to try to get free from the robot's grip but nothing he did could get him free from its hand, and it was no help from the black hedgehog as the robot seemed to feed off his chaos energy which was causing shadow to slowly lose his consciousness. Eggman started laughing, thinking he was about to beat the two hedgehogs who had been stopping him for years just for the robot suddenly losing focus as two figures went flying at its sensors
"Tails! Rouge!" The blue hedgehog yelled relieved to see them but then panic settled in as the gun points straight at Tails, the shinning blue blast of chaos energy went flying straight at Tails who realised it too late to move away but as it was about to hit him a wind like force hit the beam forcing it too fly past tails and hit the wall. Everyone froze, trying to figure out what just happened. Then Rouge managed to grab tails and dive away from the second beam that the robot had shot, angered at its first miss
Eggman's sensors we're going off with the screen blaring the words, new power signal found. He stares at the screen and then looks over at Tails and Rouge, The bat was making sure that Tails was okay and then looked up at the robot still holding an unconscious shadow and a struggling sonic who had managed to get his arms free and then kicked up breaking free from the grip of the robot's hand.
"NO!" Eggman bellowed, it was all going to plan until the weird magic force hit the blast away from tails!.. tails but how would a little kid hit create that amount of powerful magic. He had his eyes on Tails now, not caring about the others. Rouge quickly noticed how Eggman was looking at Tails and flew up and dived right towards Eggman, kicking him right in the face.
The robot moved towards Eggman to hit Rouge away but left an opening for sonic to hit him and with in a dash Sonic sent the robot flying backwards and which also sent shadow flying as the robot left go, tossing him up. Rouge quickly noticed and flew away from Eggman, who quickly got away, leaving the mall in ruins.
Rouge managed to catch Shadow and land gracefully, sonic sent the robot flying backwards and then landing beside Rouge and Shadow.
"Well, that was a close one-" sonic manages to get out, tired from the fight. Rouge nods, still holding shadow who was slowly regaining consciousness. Tails, who had been standing where Rouge had left him quickly flew over to Sonic, hugging him. "Sonic! You're okay.."
"Of course I'm okay! Egghead plans never work-" tails shakes his head and hugs Sonic, who quickly hugged back.
"Well whatever that robot was doing to create those blasts had a big effect on shadow" Rouge grumbles, clearly worried on how her friend was. Sonic nodded "yeah, I've never seen him go out so quickly"
"I wonder if it was him who managed to get the beam away from tails.." all three go quite after Rouge spoke. Sonic looks over at Tails, "yeah.. Maybe but Shadow has never done anything like that but.."
Then a sharp voice interrupted sonic, "That's because I can't and will you put me down!" Shadow was now sitting up in Rouge's arms, who as Shadow asked dropped him, The black hedgehog who was still dazed failed to land and just hit the floor. He looked up at Rouge and started to curse the bat out in Spanish.
Sonic looked over at Tails, "uh.. was that one of your gadgets or something then?" Tails shook his head quickly, "no I didn't bring anything, didn't think I wouldn't need it"
The fox then turned to look at Shadow, who was looking at him funny, "what?" He questioned, shadow just shook his head muttering something which Rouge managed to pick up, "Shadow that's very far-fetched." The hedgehog shook his head again and started to walk away, with Rouge following him.
Tails looks back at Sonic, who was staring at Shadow weirdly. "Sonic?" The blue blur quickly looked over at Tails, "yeah, little bro?" The fox looked down, "what do you think it was?" Sonic took a few seconds and shrugged "eh- no clue maybe it was Shadow but he just didn't realises or something-"
Tails went to protest that's not how chaos energy or Shadow's powers works but sonic quickly cut him off, "plus it saved you and that's all that matters, now let's go home and you can have a nice mint tea and I can make a chilli dog-" the kid nodded and sighs, "okay.."

"I'm not being outrageous." Grumbles Shadow's usual grumpy voice.
The duo were currently driving towards the nearest convenience store, Shadow who had now recovered was going on about Tails and his theory's about the weird magic that had saves him. The bat who had been stuck listening to Shadow's rants about the topic was getting close to her limits.
"Doll, Honestly I don't think it matters and I think all that matters is that Tails is okay and not dead." Shadow just rolls his eyes and scoffs as Rouge pulls into a parking space. "Now I'm going to go to the liquor store and get some wine, as well as some rum for you," shadow nods "so can you go to the convenience store and get everything on this list?" She hands Shadow a list, who took it and make a noise of agreement.
"Thanks Hun" Rouge sang as she got the car with Shadow quickly following and then ran off towards the store.
The bat sighs, "oh dear Shadow, what are we going to do with you." As she walks over to the liquor store.
The striped hedgehog walk along the counters picking the things that Rouge had put on the list,

Shadow read over it maker sure he had picked up everything once confirming he had everything he went over to the cashier and watched the items go down the conveyed belt and get scanned then he took out his card and paid for them. He then put everything into a bag and walked out the store too hear someone calls his name and turned around to see Amy.
"Hi shadow!" She beamed with her usual smile, holding a plant pot with lavender. "Hello Rose" Amy look at Shadow's bag and looked over the items and gives a shadow a look. The black hedgehog tilts his head.
Any shakes her head, "nothing nothing, sorry-" she then looks at her pot of lavender which still had the tag on it. "Uh, will you be coming to my tea part tomorrow?" She asked a bit timid, hoping for a yes.
"Yes, I took a day off for it." Amy looked up at Shadow and smiled brightly, "Really!?" She then cleared her throat, "I mean thank you" Shadow nodded and then spotted Rouge stealing a bracelet off someone's wrist. "I must get going, goodbye Rose."
"Oh! Goodbye! See you tomorrow then" shadow nods and then speeds over to the car where Rouge was now standing with her stolen bracelet and two bags.
"Got everything Hun?" He lifts the bag to show to Rouge. "Okay, let's go home, I need a long bubble bath." The bat says getting into the driver seat.
"With a glass of champagne?" Shadow questions as he gets into the car. Rouge laughs as she starts the car, "of course darling" and out of the corner of her eyes she sees Shadow giving a small smile.
"Hopefully Omega hasn't blown the house up."

A bright green light is all the guardian saw as the Master Emerald started to pulse a massive amount of power. Knuckles quickly ran to hide behind one the pillars to avoid the next blast and nothing, the emerald had calm down.
He walked over towards to master emerald looking at it seeing if he can find what caused the massive blow out as he passed one of the engraved floors it started to glow.
Knuckles goes over to look at it, the engraving was a kitsune, beside him was a hedgehog with glowing red eyes and another who's hands were glowing blue, they were standing together all shown to be using magic... As they we're surrounded by bodies and fire.
