Professor Sycamore offered her to enjoy herself at Alola. A region where the sun is shining and the pokemon were everywhere. It was very pretty. And she didn't have to worry about housing or food! She would be staying over with the professor at the Alola Region! She immediately agreed before Sycamore finished the sentence. Sign Her Up!
Her other friends wouldn't be with her sadly. Trevor was helping the professor in another region in an attempt to one day become his helper. Tierno was off at the Unova region to look at the Nimbasa Musical to learn how to make his dancing career a reality. Serena was looking for some elusive roaming bird to strengthen her team?! And Calem was insisting on training by himself to also strengthen his team. They could train together but Calem insisted on this way. They were all focusing on their futures. ...Unlike her.
Shaking off lonely & negative thoughts, she walked to a restaurant where she noticed a boy on a bench near the door.
She saw the boy give his pokemon some kind of treat. It looked like a bread pastry with something inside of it. His pokemon were reacting with child-like excitement. She was walking closer without realizing.
When the boy noticed her glance, she turned away. And then she looked back when she saw the pastry close to her face.
"Do you want one?!" He asked her. When she didn't answer immediately, he added. "It's sweet, but I got spicy and salty if you want those."
Cursiosity winning out, She took the pastry from his hand and gently bit into it. It was the right level of sweet. Not too little to the point of false advertising. But not too much to demand a drink.
As she was finishing the pastry up, she saw the boy get more of the pastries out of the bag.
"You should let your pokemon try these!" He told her. "They might not like all of them. But they should like one of them!" He bellowed.
And so she did. Goodra didn't like spicy, but it did like sweet. The Delcatty liked the salty.
They ate in peace. Hau was pratically inhaling the pastries. Shauna gave him a spare water bottle. It was the least she could do.
"Thank you, my name is Shauna" She greeted to him. After processing that, Hau looked off into the distance for some reason.
"Wait, so your name is Shauna?!" She nodded. Not sure where this was leading.
"S..H..A..U..N..A" he said aloud. Before she could ask, he laughed.
"Oh man! My name is inside your name!" He proclaimed.
Shauna looked at him funny, "What?!" She asked.
"My name is Hau. And your name has Hau inside it!" He proclaimed. "Your name without my name would be Sna!" He joked with a laugh.
Hearing that, Shauna couldn't help but laugh uncontrollably. The chances of this sort of thing happening was too rare to ignore.
The others would have done their best to hide any snickering. But she couldn't help herself regardless of the insanity/stupidity.
He was very chatty and energetic. Talking about his status as the son of the leader on this island. LEtting her pet his Raichu (Apparently this is what Raichus look like here? Huh) and a pokemon native to here, Komala.
A cute Koala that hung onto Hau's back like an infant. She did her best to not rudely awaken Komala.
He lead her to where she would staying. The professor was just as energetic and chatty as Hau was. So that was a relief.
HE stayed around for a bit, the professor (who was named Kukui) and Hau were talking nonstop. It reminded of when her friends were like this back when they were six or something.
Hau had to leave, but he promised to make them pancakes early in the morning. So that was something to look forward to tomorrow. Along with the flower field and the beach here.
She went to sleep completely forgetting her negative thoughts earlier today. And thinking of happier ones that she would get to experience tomorrow.
