Expect many spelling errors I’m fighting this with long as acrylics
Atsushi was on his way to school as always, as slow as possible. He dreaded school, the subjects, the teachers, but most importantly, the horrible hierarchy of the school system.
Of course, the school wasn’t the only place that did this, but all of Yokohama. Ever since an ability user (no longer a thing) some men have been able to give birth along with some women. They also realized some people were stronger than others, like really strong.
So, the government of Yokohama decided to make a hierarchy made of omegas, alphas, and betas. Betas are just like normal humans except they have a small scent to them. (Yes humans now have a scent too, atsushi thinks this is ridiculous) alphas are the leaders of everyone. Alphas have a strong, earthy scent usually. (It can become stronger and more dominant according to the alpha) and finally, omegas, unfortunately for them they are barely seen as human. They’re seen as toys and child bearers. Every single omega is fertile from birth, atsushi has never met an omega that can’t deliver to term and if they didn’t then they are seen as failed omegas. (They are severely judged and most of them commit suicide although atsushi doesn’t need to know that)
For now, that’s all you need to know about the alphas, betas, and omegas. Well, except that atsushi has the misfortune of being born one. Ah yes, I almost forgot about that small detail about our dear atsushi, he was an omega, a lowly omega that has kk class as other like to call him. He’s an omega that was rejected by his parents, so he’s known as an already failed omega. When you’re born you aren’t born with a role but if your parents are omegas then they create a strong bond, only omegas can have omegan children and so if atsushi presented as an omega and his mother had already left, he must be troublesome.
That’s why most people avoid Him at school, as I said most. He still had his closest friends such as tanizaki and Lucy (along with their friends) and his older classmate who was held back a grade, Dazai. Lucy and tanizaki both presented as betas so atsushi has no issues with them. Dazai, however, has never admitted his second gender and all assume he’s a beta. (Since he has no smell to him)
All is good in the world for atsushi except all the alphas that crowd him. Too young to find atsushi as a potential mate/mother of children, they only see him as a lower then. This hurts atsushis pride as he can’t fight back and win, he will always be bested by others, there’s no escaping the degrading words of his peers and teachers.
